A cozy Irish pub situated in the heart of Kitsilano. Homemade pub fare and extensive beer selection. Traditional Irish breakfast on Sundays. Live music five nights a week
My boyfriend and I went to the Wolf and Hound for after work drinks and appies. We were not expecting anything fancy as it is a pub after all. We ordered chicken wings and spinach & artichoke dip with tortilla chips. I took one taste of a tortilla chip dipped in the artichoke dip and almost spat it out. It... more
This is our go-to pub in our neighbourghood. Excellent pub-style food. Superb service from servers who pay attention. Very good beer, which changes seasonally, and includes plenty of local brew. If we are at a loss, this is where we go.
The pub was fairly standard, there was no real entertainment on except a playoff hockey game on the TV. The selection of beers was pretty good but the food was nothing special and a bit expensive for what you got.
Located in the Kits/Point Grey area this Pub is truly a little piece of Ireland, live music a great irish themed menu and I believe they may only have 1 tv in the whole place I could be worng they may not even have one! I used to live above this place and I would frequent it quite often. I... more
Have enjoyed the W&H on a few occaisions and am never dissappointed. If you are a beer enthusiast you will not be dissappointed by the selection, and the food is reliable pub fair with much better than average creations emerging from the kitchen. The burgers, salads, stews and pot pies all have recieved hearty endorsements by satisfied tablemates. Was a... more
Spacious bar with good burgers, plenty of different areas to hang out, good beer. What more could you want?
Love this place. Makes every feel at home, good service, good beers, pleasant audience, live music, burgers are not that great but salads are good. Always busy but if someone can share a table they will. Always ok whether you are alone, with friends or family.
A friendly neighbourhood pub. We have our book club here and it's a fine place but the food could use some work. and the coffee is awful for a coffee city. Still, a great place though with live entertainment of the folk variety.
The Wolf and Hound is a great place to dine and spend good time with family and friends if your craving atmosphere. The food is delicious, and quick. It's typical pub food with a British twist. Great Banger's and Mash, Burgers, fries and drinks. The staff and service was good, and made sure we were well looked after. I can't... more
Everything is made from scratch. Great chicken pot pie, salads, and burgers. Decent beer selection. We will be back.
This place was hopping most of the day. Can't imagine what it was like in the evening.
The Irish music was well above average. The Irish groups playing took breaks to allow local young Irish dancers to show their dancing skills.
As was to be expected because of the day, the usual specials were dropped as was the usual Sunday...

Friday night and we hadnt got tickets for the Canucks game so a group of us met up and the Wolf and Hound - my daughters local. Really busy so we had to wait a short while for a table for 5 but we had a Redtruck and a Guiness whilst waiting.
Food was good and my Fish Pie was...

The scene here is great. It's a great neighbourhood scene where there's live music and a pub atmosphere. The beer selection make it hard to know just where to start. If it's pub food you are after, it's pub food you'll get here, but a bit more expensive than pub food prices. You can't go wrong with their salt and... more
If you're looking for a neighbourhood pub, it's the Wolf and Hound. It draws crowds on the weekend with excellent live music. The beer selection is a good one, making it difficult to know where to start. The food is good solid pub food but priced just a bit high for what you get. You can't go wrong with their... more
The Wolf & Hound is a good place to exchange the rain and winter darkness for the warmth of great servers carrying trays of beers drawn from a broad selection. There's even a Micky Lynch lager named after a late familiar face and personality whose picture is prominently placed near the "stage" where musos perform. This is a pub restaurant... more
