Largest disappointment during my stay in transcona

I went to DQ to eat only to find it was only an ice cream shack so the old style diner behind was the next option. The place was packed at lunch with people so I assumed the food was good. It wasn't.
The atmosphere is good, the setting is good, the people taking orders are good.

I think the food is great. And they have added some healthy choices to the menu. Even though I usually choose the fries. The wait can be avoided by phoning ahead.

The Food is very greasy. Everyone I know loves the fries but I always found them to be mushy and gross. And the wait time is usually long, even when they are not busy. It is not the best food but its good for transcona

the people are work there are very friendly and also the food is very good and fresh

A good place if you want greasy food . better going to mc'ds the price would be better.

More of a social and nostalgic experience than a place to go. I live about a block away and I'm used to people raving about how great their fries are. I've always thought the fries were garbage, but I guess that shows what I know. The food isn't so healthy, so if you're just there because you're hungry, consider walking up Day a few meters and buying some junk food at 7-11 instead.

A wonderfull place for a great Hotdog and fries. Deep in the heart of Transcona, Wpg just behind the DQ. It is well worth the trip. It is a walk up to the window type of place. Good eats.
