location, location, location. this is it for a nice location if you can get on the patio. people watching, dog watching and more. the food was OK and the service could have been better. we went on a Friday night after sailing. the beer selection was very good. overall not bad.

Better than expected

Came to eat after the Arts Club show because of the 15% discount (thank you!). Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Great selection of beers/ales which was a huge plus. Food selection was good, our choices were served promptly and the food was great.

Good Choice for family

We had 7:30 tickets to the improv (next door) and Whet has a great balanced menu that appealed to both adult and my kids (14 & 10yrs.) The atmosphere was energetic music was a bit loud but appropriate for a happy hour. Jambalaya was perfectly spiced, and my 14 year old loved here Thai Chicken Rice Bowl. In all a great evening kicked off with a great dinner experience.

Great salmon burger

I had it with fries. The bun was great at the beginning but soggy at the end and I had to use a fork to finish. I had it with the clam chowder which was very good.

Awesome spot in a very cool part of Vancouver

We happened upon Whet by chance while exploring Granville Island. We only had a couple of beers but the food that was being served to other patrons looked delicious. Very friendly staff and it was lovely sitting outside overlooking the yachts.

Whet has amazing good, wonderful service, and a beautiful view of the marina. I ordered the lobster Mac & cheese, it was definitely a good choice! Sophia was our server and she was just wonderful! Great service and food

The service was exellent and the food was definitely delicious. The calamari and truffle fries were proportionately sized the steak was cooked perfectly. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal and experience for a Mother's Day dinner.

Great Patio

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. The food was good, and the patio is really great. It was a rainy evening, but the heated patio kept us at a comfortable level while we dined. I've been here a few times and have enjoyed the experience every time.

The food at Whet bar restaurant was ok, not really amazing. The oysters thou were fresh and delicious. They don't have a big wine selection but carry some exquisite BC wine. The highlight of this restaurant is the amazing view over the Granville Island Marina.

Dead Moules-Frites, Bad Service, Not worth it

Was disappointed that I had to pay $16 for Moules-Frites that featured several mussels that didn't open. When they don't open, it's because the mussels are dead prior to cooking. At least half a dozen didn't open, which is a significant portion of the meal. Not something you would expect at a seafood specialty restaurant.

A great spot

This was a great spot to visit while on Granville Island. Our server was terrific - made the experience very personal and enjoyable. Turns out he grew up in the town where I live.

Ate lunch here. I loved the selection of local micro brews on tap. For lunch I had the jambalaya. Awesome! Whet is pricy but that comes with the location on Granville Island.

Such a fun place, in a great location! Having just visited the Vancouver Aquarium, my mom and I were craving some food near the water and this place was perfect! Friendly service, okay food (based on the appies we had), We had an end of year get together mid day on a Saturday here which worked out very well for the space. Since we only did appies and drinks I cannot comment on the main food lineup. the patio is hands-down one of the best winter-time patios i've ever been to. it's heated properly, right by the water, and the sun was hitting where i was sitting perfectly, so it literally felt like i was in the middle of summer, even though it was actually probably five degrees out that day.

My husband stumbled upon this and it was the best find of the day. All of our food was excellent, service was very good, and the setting was lovely - right at the marina. I had the fish and chips (you can choose from 4 fish) - the halibut was amazing. All 4 of us enjoyed it very much.

I watched a hockey game here and really enjoyed the experience as a whole. Our waiter was wonderful and very attentive. I started out with their cheese special, parmesean chicken, and corn bread. My sister and I shared the fish tacos..although she ate more because I found them a little too spicy for my liking. I think this place is a winner for this location. I've been in a few times now and it's clear that this place is head and shoulders above it's previous incarnation as Sammy J Peppers. (Apparently it is owned by one of the original Sammy J Pepper owners, who has now splintered off to do his own thing).
