Hi - since I posted my review this Wheatberries cafe location has gone independent under the name of "The Bakery" at the same location. A new Wheatberries location will be opening in Sechelt soon - I'm going to stop in to the revamped store here and check out the changes!

Always awesome service. One day i dropped my friends order & they made me another one for free and said 'do you know how many times i've done that?' With a big smile on her face. Super place

My sister and I stopped by after a hike in Smugglers Cove, looking for a bite to eat. The sandwiches are pre-made which I don't like so we both got the spinach feta croissants. They even heated it up for us. The inside was stone cold, the croissant wasn't even flaky and the filling was dull and bland. On a good note, they had samples of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and oh my, it was... more

We come here at least once a day when we're on the Sunshine Coast.
The prices have increased lately and are now on a par with Vancouver prices, but then so is the gasoline. What a disappointment.
The food isn't organic so I think they're out of line pricing it like it is. But it's still a good, reliable place for breakfast and lunch. It's comfortable, friendly, casual, wifi is provided, and... more

Yum! We ordered a chocolate fudge cake and it was so moist and chocolatey. Not sugary-tasting. As we were camping and left the remainder of the cake in the back of our car, the next day we had it for lunch (doesn't everyone have cake for lunch??), it was still very moist, fresh and tasted great.

Will enjoy their cakes again the next time we're visiting the Sunshine Coast!

Love the muffins at this place. The coffee is hit and miss. Particularly if you order a soy drink. (Do not take the soy over 160 degrees people, it burns it and gives off a funky taste.)

We always pick up muffins and scones when we visit Sechelt. The blueberry muffins are out of this world!

I'm not one with a sweet tooth but I have to say that some of the best baked goods I've had in a long time come from this special little place. The muffins make you feel healthy yet taste so yummy. Always moist yet deliciously complimented baked goods. Do try the pies as well - delish! A great gift to bring over for the host of a dinner party or a treat for that special someone at the end of a... more

Things change with the passage of time. My experience with Wheatberries in Sechelt is just one of those things.

I've been frequenting the bakery for some months since my previous review.
I'm pleased to report the girls working there now are very friendly, greet me when I walk through the door and always offer a smile.
It may seem trivial, but in the world of customer service, having a pleasant... more

When it comes to coffee I'm no connoisseur and i generally stay away from specialty drinks at coffee shops. However i do know if you want to experience some of the best baking the coast has to offer, you will most definitely stop by for a cookie or an entire pie.

A must stop for those traveling on the sunshine coast. You gotta try their selection of scones, they are amazing! They have also have 3 locations in Gibsons including one kiosk at Langdale ferry terminal. Forget Starbucks, try Wheatberries!

A great place to stop for cookies, muffins or bread if you're on the Sunshine Coast. On our last trip we splashed out on a Chocolate Ganache cake for a birthday treat. It was fantastic! Their 'Georgina' multigrain bread is also fantastic.
