......... BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER. We tried them all. Food superb and very creative. Friendly and efficient service. Plates and food HOT when served. We have "discovered" this wonderful Restaurant a few months ago and my husband and I have made it one of our favorite places. A real gem!
The menu was almost like War & Peace and there was something everyone would enjoy! They had your regular food items with a delicious twist; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wi-fi was available but who would want to be on the internet with all that good food to try. With a fully stalked bar, you're good to go any time and... more
I wrote a review of the Wellington Diner in 2011. Since the discovery, my boyfriend and I have been frequenting the diner at least twice a month for dinner and once a month for Sunday breakfast.
Since my last review, they have changed their menu. I love their Supreme Macaroni and cheese and the Wellington Poutine. My boyfriend likes their...

This has to be one of the best restaurants in Ottawa. The presentation of the food alone deserves an award along with the excellent service and quality of food served. It is very affordable and they make excellent coffee. The ambiance is great, very comfortable not too noisy, worth every penny.
When we went it was pretty quiet, so we were served promptly. Service otherwise was friendly and quick.
I had a mushroom gravy covered schnitzel, which was really tasty. Price was reasonable, and it was a good experience all around. Will definitely come back here in the future.
I quite enjoyed the entire experience. My friend suggested this diner because we were looking for somewhere that was disabled-accessible in the Westboro area which is hard to find among the old buildings with steps... lots of steps!
The space was clean, well-lit & the staff very warm & welcoming. The portions were huge & the food was amazing. The...

I've hit this place a few times in my travels to Ottawa. And if it's not too busy, this place is great. Good food (love the Benny's) and tasty milkshakes.
But if this place is busy... avoid it like the plague. While the food is still solid, the service is a disaster. Slow to get in, poor communication, and in...

The home-fries are divine, they made me a wicked Long Island Iced Tea from scratch and wow, was it good.
Prices were fantastic too!
My wife and I went to the Wellington Diner for lunch on one of our "kid-free" dates. We were just looking for a quick bite to eat but were pleasantly surprised by their unique take on standard diner fare. First off, they serve Beau's beer which is one of my favorites. I tried the Wellington poutine which had sirloin beef... more
I have come here for breakfast after night shifts with girls from work and have not been disappointed! The breakfast special is very reasonably priced, good food and huge portions, the coffee is fresh and the service is quick, attentive and friendly. Only bad thing I could say is that it is a bit drafty at times, but that's first... more
We ordered bacon & egg breakfast and fish and chips.
Was very happy with the food and service.
Definitely will return.
The chicken in my chicken club was raw and frozen! My husband ordered a Ruben which came without cheese and sauerkraut. The waitstaff was apologetic but we will not return.
I had about twelve friends come out for my birthday brunch here. The food was delicious. I had a mother clubber it was so tasty, and unique! I'll be back regularly for brunch...oh and the coffee was actually good!
Every time we go I leave satisfied. The egg bread is awesome but they have many other choices. Enjoy the pancakes and prices are good. A real "diner" experience!
Fish and chips brought us to the Diner. The portions were generous, and the price was amazing value! A true neighbourhood diner of old, the menu selection was broad and traditional. It would appeal especially to seniors and young families, where the booths would keep young children from wandering.
We have been for breakfast there a number of times and have never been disappointed. The servers seem to genuinely care about their clients and the coffee is always good, fresh and hot.
It's pretty lousy when the first time you go to a "simple" breakfast - lunch - dinner restaurant on Wellington which is fairly well known, just for breakfast and you're brought very obvious burnt toast.
If this was my only comment, I wouldn't comment at all. But the eggs were (really) rubbery, unlike any I had ever had. I knew...

Very nice breakfast/brunch menu selections. Friendly, enthusiastic staff. Can be a bit crowded, so best to go at non-peak times.
We had a great experience at this local Westboro neighborhood diner! We had the bacon wrapped meatloaf which is delicious and a real favorite there. We also had the burger with the carmalized onions and Brie which was also very good. The servers are always very pleasant and the food good whether you go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Prices... more
We were looking for a different family restaurant to try on our most recent visit, and it turned out the Wellington Diner was a great choice. Straightforward but extensive menu with meaty and vegetarian breakfast options. Poached eggs with grilled vegetables were delicious. Wasn't brave enough to try the breakfast poutine like the guy at the next table! Nice atmosphere... more
Recently my boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to go for a weekend breakfast. We noticed that this place seemed to be fairly popular so we decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was lovely and the service was fantastic, our coffee cups were full the entire time. I would definitely recommend this... more
This place is a rip off. They charged me and my girlfriend 11 dollars for a coffee, a soda, and a glass of juice. The juice alone was $5.99. The prices are ridiculous and I honestly felt cheated. It's as if they had to grow the orange, then squeeze it themselves to make my juice. I can't see how they... more
We discovered the diner when we were walking along Wellington street looking for a place for dinner. The restaurant is friendly and the food was great! The menu offers a range of burgers, wraps, sandwiches/clubs and entrees. They also offer glutton free options for an extra charge. We had meat loaf and chicken potpie the first round. And the second... more
