Great rooms that were perfect for my wife and I and our young son. Extremely friendly staff that were happy to accommodate our family. Great location near lots of activities. Highly recommended.
I didn't stay at the hotel but visited the room and dined at Bacchus. The lobby was beautifully decorated, the staff elegant and polite, and the room tastefully done. The restaurant was the true winner though. The food was amazing and the portions were much more substantial than restaurants of this calibre. Especially delicious was the ling cod and lobster risotto and the Lemon tarte desert was... more
I went there for dinner with my girlfriend and the atmosphere is amazing! Very romantic! Also the service was suburb and the prices on the menu were very reasonable. They also gave free dishes that they were testing out.
Amazing hotel located close to everything. The staff were friendly and helpful.
True Vancouver classic. Sophisictaed and stylish, great for a midweek client lunch with a glass of wine
Just got home from two days at the hotel for our 42nd anniversery love this hotel for all those special days food excellent at baccus maureen july 15th
Boutique hotels can be tricky - I think a lot of hotels use this to present a better image in the consumers mind, but not this one... It is truly a lovely experience, I have been in Vancouver 8 times over the past year and have stayed here each time...everything about this hotel has been consistently top notch each and every time... The adage you get what you pay for is mostly true, although I... more
From the minute we drove up, to the check-in and our beautiful room with a balcony, it was perfect
Every year we visit the wedgewood, for a birthday celebration and a romantic weekend away.
Staying here is a wonderful jump start to the holiday season.
Rooms with soak tubs are wonderful, getting a room facing east you get the wonderful Christmas lights of the trees outside.
this was our 12 year, so we will be back,
Comfy and quiet. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. I think this is the first time I've been to a hotel and couldn't find ANYTHING to complain about. Everything worked! and everything was nice and clean. The complimentary chocolates and cookies were a very nice touch and a BIG bathtub for two, not in the bathroom, but IN the... more
This is a superb "boutique" hotel well located in the center of the city. It is right in the shopping and business district and close to tourist attractions. The staff are first rate. The Bacchus Restaurant in the hotel is over the top; the food is top notch and the setting is romantic. Cookies and chocolates were provided in the... more
Over the years, I have stayed at the Wedgewood a few times for both business and pleasure. This past November, my husband and I stayed here for a long weekend, and we enjoyed this hotel a fair amount. The location is very good - near the art gallery, shopping, and walking distance (or a short cab ride) to many restaurants.... more
We live in the Vancouver area and whenever my wife and I do date night we stay here. Make sure you get one of the rooms with the tub in the room (wink wink)
Great resturaunt and the staff are really happy and helpful.
In two months we will have gone back to Vancouver three times and each time we stay at The Wedgewood Hotel. The rooms are spacious and attractive and the amenities are classy. A box of delicious chocolates greets you when you walk in and each day two yummy freshly baked cookies are brought to your room. All the staff from... more
My sister and I travel for business to Vancouver up to 7 times a year. We cannot say enough good things about our experience at this hotel. The staff are fantastic and you could not find better doormen anywhere else! (They know us by name.)
We love the cozy atmosphere, and the Bacchus Lounge is a great place for drinks...

This was a wonderful hotel with the most superb service. From the doorman to the concierge. A quiet comfortable room, bed lovely touches chocolate chip cookies yummy.
I stayed in this wonderful boutique hotel for 4 days and loved every minute of it....the 12th Floor Penthouse Suite overlooking the park is just fantastic.....everything is just nothing short of perfection.....service, amenities and even the incredible location. Just a few steps from parks, attractions & shopping.... more
Just spent 2 nights in this welcoming, centrally located, quality hotel. Cant recommend it too highly. Superb, genuinely friendly service from start to finish, and very good value for money. Just what a good hotel should be. Ill be back.
We stayed for two nights at the Wedgewood and found it delightful. Our room, 8th floor, was large and handsomely furnished and equipped. The staff was friendly and efficient. A fine continental breakfast was provided each morning. Our meals at the in-house lounge/restaurant - the Bacchus-- - were excellent. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver and looking for a special... more
I attended a Ryerson Alumni event here a few nights back, and was quite pleased at the hospitality we received. The staff was helpful and friendly. The event space provided was perfect for the number of people we expected. It's a nice room at the back of the lobby that's great for accommodating 50-100 people. The wine, finger foods and snacks that were provided all tasted freshly made, looked... more
My credit card had difficulty the first time they ran it (I was traveling out-of-country), and the front desk staff told me to go ahead and settle in, then come back down to resolve the issue. The awesome professional cleaning staff neatly placed all my strewn jewelry in a small dish by the sink, and first pulled up the sink stopper so nothing fell down the drain accidentally. Love the attention... more
I have stayed at the Wedgewood many times. The junior suite is my favorite room for the price anywhere. The staff is always quite helpful although I miss the traditional feel of years past (i.e. The old fashioned room key that you left at the front desk and the fresh cut flowers in the room). The lounge is a great place for before dinner cocktails on a summer night.
Beautiful spot, a nice change from a larger lobbied, bustling hotel. Intimate and quiet best describes this gem. Typically stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront; this trip booked the Four Seasons, but decided last minute for a smaller boutique property with an onsite spa. Was there for an anniversary. The room was a nice size with in-room soaker tub. There was even a small balcony overlooking... more
Upscale boutique hotel, located in the business district. Another place I've never stayed but have attended meetings and conferences at.
If your looking for romance this is the hotel. We stayed 4 nights in the Deluxe Executives room and WOW. On top of a great room with tub for two. Room service was great. The burger was worth every cent. Anything we asked for they took care of. They even helped me discretely get rose petals in the room when we were out to surprise her with. It was four nights we will never forget. And hope to... more
Their restaurant, Bacchus, is beautiful and the food is delicious! I haven't stayed in the hotel yet, but I heard that Christmas is the best time as the rates are low and the festive holiday atmosphere is unlike anything in the city. Also, my friend says everyone who stays during Christmas Eve, Christmas, or Boxing Day get "Christmas Plates" filled with cheeses, crackers, nuts, cookies and... more
The location of the hotel is very convenient to see the city. While the staff was generally pleasant, the doorman never once greeted us. Listed in Relais and Chateau, we arrived with certain assumptions such as a concierge or front desk staff that could provide insights for a good and complete experience. Unfortunately, the staff generally had neither opinions, nor knowledge to facilitate a... more
I was thrilled upon entering the gorgeous Wedgewood Hotel and Spa. I trust the Relais & Chateux brand, and it lived up to its luxurious standard. The room was large and included a terrace the length of the apartment-like suite. Comfortable amenities abounded, including full living room furniture, DVD players for the flat-screen televisions, large marble bathrooms, and delightful turndown... more
This is the only hotel I stay in whenever I come to Vancouver. The location is fantastic, service is excellent and the food is delicious! I highly recommend having dinner in Bacchus. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel with personalized, attentive staff, the Wedgewood is IT.
i almost walked right by this place!! it isn't one of those flashy looking big upscale hotels..although, it is definitely very swanky once you are inside. i wasn't staying here myself, but a friend visiting was. we met up for a chat and a sip in the lounge....absolutely beautiful inside. the service is spectacular, very mindful and pleasant.they have a grand piano tucked away to the side and... more
Tucked a half block off the soul of the city, Robson Street, this stately European traditional boutique hotel "Wows" on many levels, most notably the bar/lounge, elegant and inviting with big couches and thickly stuffed upholstered chairs, a fireplace and live piano. The rooms are large and comfortable and despite the traditional Queen Anne style furniture, it is looking a bit dated. The Spa is... more
I haven't stayed here, but their lounge ... wow! Lovely. If you want a traditional clubby type atmosphere, this is your place. Attentive service, tasty, tasty, tasty drinks, and really delightful rich snacks in front of a roaring fire. Lovely old dark wood richly upholstered poshness. When you're in the mood for that sort of thing, this is your place. I particularly recommend the pizza,... more
The hotel was nice and the service was good. However, the room felt a little small for a luxury price. The location is good and the lobby is lovely.
Ideally located, friendly and efficient staff, room beautifully appointed (we especially liked the night light in the bathroom) - we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Lovely hotel - furniture, decor etc. Excellent staff and service. Great downtown location just minutes stroll away from main shopping, restaurants etc. Hotels own restaurant is very high quality and this is reflected in the price. Be careful with room service - the costs add up!
Absolutely wonderful! Lovely rooms, impeccable attention to detail, great service! My husband said, "you outdid yourself with this hotel"--but it was really the hotel that went the extra mile. Highly recommended!
