This Vo's Nails location is by far the most horrific place to get anything done.
The last time I was there the girl that waxed my brows left them lopsided and refused to pluck out any stray hairs. I also had a colour change for my shellac. She cut my nails all uneven, she rushed through the procedure and the shellac chipped later that night.
I came back at time of opening the next morning...

I have been to this location many times and been very satisfied. I always have Lucy do my manicures and pedicures. She takes great care and my shellac nails always last for 3+ weeks.
Ok, so my friend and I wanted our nails done. We were greeted meh it was aright. We start looking at colors and the lady starts applying the tips. She asked how long we wanted them and we said pretty long so then she goes, "Ya 20$ extra charge". Excuse me? That's like 90$ for a regular set of nails. No gems or anything. First of all their regular price is 65$ and literally every salon that I've... more
I am very impressed with the gel manicure I got here! It has lasted amazingly, no chipping or anything. (See the photo attached - it was taken today, two weeks after my visit).I also thought the woman who did my nails was super friendly and nice, contrary to some of the other reviews here. She was chatting with her coworker but they also invited me into the conversation and I enjoyed chatting... more
I've only been to Vo's once, I got warts all over my hands. The nails that I had done looked like c@!p and then I got the warts that took four years to get rid of. DO NOT GO HERE.
Ive been getting my nails done for 8 years never have i had worse nail quality, worse customer service for such price. Ive never paid for being yelled at until this nail salon. I have went to this location a few times and last time was it! Ive always ingored the c@!%!y ustomer service b3cause they did a decent job. But this time my nails were horrifying. And i got yelled at for showing the... more
Came for a new acrylic set; Horrible customer service and took a little over TWO HOURS. when I told them I wasn't happy they told me they could take off what they started and I could go somewhere else. Terrible experience, and my nails only lasted 2 weeks before breaking off.
Kim did a really nice job on my nails. They are exactly what I asked for. This location is quiet and the massage chairs are pretty good :)
My friend and I have been going here to get pedicures for a few months, and I've had a consistently great experience. We usually do not have to wait long to get into the massage chairs, and they do a great detailed job!
I came in the other day and asked for gel nails, which usually cost around $60. The lady started to apply acrylic powder to my nails. When I told her I wanted gel, and that gel isn't powered, she then went on and on about the power being gel. After doing some research, I later found out I was in fact right, they weren't gel! I've had better gel done for twenty dollars cheaper before.
This to...

I have been going to Vo's Nails for about a year now and I have had no complaints until the last two visits, and I have been getting acrylic nails done for two years and have never had this happen. I got my nails done two weeks ago and a week in they were peeling really bad so I went back and I wanted a colour and shape change and they discounted me for that, which I appreciated. A week after... more
This location is convenient, has parking, and mall features coffee around the corner, pizza across the way - it can be an outing with a pal.
Jen knows how to fix other salon failures. It is a quickie nail place, and they do a fair job, prices reflect the service. I have had to go back and have nails repaired - often they do not charge, but it's fair to let them know when the job fails too...

I love this nail salon. They have every colour of shellac you can think of. Jane is amazing and attention to detail although I have seen the other nail staff do a good job too. I go here very frequently and have never seen anyone leave upset. Pricing is good, quality job and they are fast. What more do you want?
A hit or a miss. I've been here four times and all times I got different technicians. The nail technicians I recommend are always busy while it seems the others could careless. Anyways, if you get a chance to come here try waiting for the two nail techs that work on the left closest to the wall. They take their time and even after four weeks my nails lasted. Tech at the first row far left does... more
I have always had a problem with nail technicians not getting the shape I want but they did it right the first time with very little instruction! Another great thing is when I broke two of my nails while doing stock at my job they fixed then for free and did an amazing job! Love Vo's nails and am so glad I found them
Vee does a nice gel polish application. I had her do one that lasted over 3 weeks with no chipping, peeling or any other polish failure. I'm very h@!%!*n my hands and paint with acrylics so this was a treat. The acrylic paint comes right off with a little scrub and the polish remains shiny, hard and resilient. It's the Gelish brand she used.
Vee is a pleasant, polite, professional young woman....

Kinda surprised at these reviews. Maybe I just got lucky with the woman I got. I have very sensitive hands and I got a pail of acrylic nails on and she was SO gentle and quick. Best manicure I've ever had, NO PAIN. My aunt also got a pedicure and said it was the best massage she's had in a long time. They were really friendly and really good at their jobs. A little understaffed so I would... more
I came here for the first time a couple years ago and had a mediocre experience. Just the other day, I was in the area and popped in for a pedi and shellac out of sheer convenience, hoping that it wouldn't be like my last experience. I didn't have to wait but that's probably because most people have learned to avoid Vo's by now.
My pedicure was pretty good. I was a bit bummed about my fingers...

This was my second time going and I must say the experience was better. This time my friend and I both got shellac manicures. The girl I had was friendly and did a good enough job. My friend's nails weren't done as well, and I heard the girl say sorry a couple of times while filing my friend's nails. But hey, humans make mistakes. She seemed very nice and my friend wasn't put off by it at all.... more
I dont even know where to start with Vo's Nails. I have been to several of their locations, and they are all HORRIBLE.
Like other reviewers mentioned, they talk very loudly in their own language while ignoring you the entire time. You cant even listen to the radio or hear what's on the tv from how loud they are. They always push extra services on me, especially eyebrows. I tell them mine are...

Went in with a friend for pedicures. Didn't have to wait which was nice. My friend and the other woman who was getting a pedicure at the same time as me seemed to have better experiences than I did. I've had pedicures many times before and this was the first time it was actually painful. She was very aggressive with the cuticle-pushing and it hurt badly and made a few of my toes bleed. She kept... more
I had an amazing experience.Got a manicure with gel polish done. Solid job. It lasted for as long as it could. She was super bubbly and fun and had some good tricks and tips up her sleeve. My friend who was with me always gets a pedicure and gel nails. She's a happy clam as well.
Vo's nails Jasper Ave and 109th StI went with my mom for a mani and pedi, while the woman doing my nails was friendly and did a good job the woman who was servicing my mom was rough (while giving a leg massage her long nails got in the way and scratched up her leg) and abrupt (no chitchat, though she chatted with the other women in her language). This woman asked my mother if she wanted an eye... more
I will never go back to this place again. I was about to get my eyebrows waxed and the women was clearly talking about me in her language. Mid way into the wax she got a phone call and stayed on the phone for a good 6-7 minutes as i lay there. After i told her i was not happy with the wax job she literally freaked out on me and called me high maintenance not only that she continued to freak out... more
I went for a brow wax because it was convenient & I needed one. Got in right away. The girl told me to lay down. And when she was bringing the wax over, she dropped wax in my hair!!! And she had the audacity to blame me! What? Not even right. She used some sort of cream or oil in my hair to try and get it out, doing a half a@s job. She looked appalled when i declined a lip wax. I have no need... more
Just left Vo's with an awful, overpriced manicure. I'm from out of town and was looking for a shellac French manicure, which averages $30. First of all she rushed through it, she had no interest at all in doing my nails. She asked if I wanted a manicure too I said yes. All my manicure consisted of was trimming the skin around my nails. I ended up being charged $52.50. My nails are uneven and... more
I used to be a regular customer and after my humiliating experience with them, am left to wonder if I am the only one who received this treatment. The staff constantly chat in their own language and they rush you. My first few experiences were ok with them and I recall it one time, I was looking at the colors and the owner came running to me that I can not see those colors and I have to grab... more
I went to vos nails on 109 for an eyebrow wax. The staff here are incredibly rude!! I hate how they talk their own language and you can most definitely tell they are talking about you behind your back. I will not be coming back!!
All i can say is this place talks behind your back in their own language, and how do i know that, because i understood everything they said cause they thought i'm another Asian race.
I received a gift certificate to this place that's why i came here for the very first time to get my pedicure done. I came into the shop right at opening then a few other customers came in right after me. They...

I have been here a couple times for a pedicure. Every time we go (I go with my sister), we don't have to make an appointment, which is nice.
It does not feel like a relaxing experience really. The women who do our pedicures talk loud in another language, and it is hard to tell when they are talking to you, or if they are talking to each other.
The quality is usually okay, but they rush...
