Everything was excellent here - price, location, parking, bus proximity, room, pool, sauna, hot tub, staff - not one bad thing to say - will definitely be staying at this hotel many more times, in the future!
Very comfortable bed and clean bathroom recently redecorated
Staff was friendly, restaurant food was reasonably priced
Recently renovated room with a very comfy bed. Had a good sleep! Small restaurant serving a free continental breakfast that included no hot items and 1 fruit , yogurt and sugary muffins. Great pool / hottub.
Great staff, clean room, great prices in the restaurant, and comfortable beds!
The hotel is neat and clean, but the smell of room air spay was a bit too much. The break fast was not impressive, it's free though.
Good room, clean, well laid out and comfortable. Pleasant staff more than willing to help. Cleaning staff did a great job.
Easy check-in with a very pleasant clerk. Found the facilities to be clean, un-aged, and comfortable. Only problem was with the traffic noise. A limited access highway, which is busy 24/7 detracted from the comfort of the room.
All good. The road traffic was a little annoying . No sleeping in.
It was a good place for a business trip. I would recommend it without hesitation.
Great place to stay in Hamilton. Service for continental breakfast 6 on a scale of 10
Very nice hotel. Myself and my wife only stayed for one night but would highly recommend this hotel. We had a room with an outside exit which was very convenient. Pool is very clean. Breakfast was one of the best I've had..
The hotel is very clean and well-run. The pool is nice, and I happened to get it all to myself the day I was there. The gym is small but has a treadmill and other basics. The restaurant has good food but I found it a bit pricey. I had a kitchenette room, which was really convenient. A nice hotel at a good price.
Great. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good restaurant
Very enjoyable, great service. Room was excellent very clean and the daily service was first rate.
The staff is very polite and helpful. The hotel is newly renovated and is very, very clean and well-maintained. I had a problem with the snack machine, and the staff refunded my money right away! The rooms are great and very comfortable. Just one note - if you want to open your window for some fresh air, the noise from traffic is a bit loud.
The hotel advertises free Wifi internet in rooms, I was having problems singing into the hotels Wifi, had to stand by the door to be able to connect. After several tries I finally connect, just to find out that I kept getting disconnected. I tried to call front desk, the phone just kept ringing. I go down to front desk and asked them for assistance. The gentleman at the desk just said that... more
This hotel is very clean, well-organized and quiet. The on-site restaurant has good food, although a bit pricey. The room was very comfortable and had lots of amenities (i.e. a safe, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, etc.). The pool and exercise room were spotless and not crowded. Overall, a very pleasant stay at an extremely affordable price. I will definitely stay there again.
Loved the mini bar in room was handy so you didn't have to go out to get a snack and drink at reasonable prices
If you have to stay in Hamilton the Visitors Inn is the place to stay. It may not look really great on the outside, but the rooms are newly renovated and very comfortable. My only issue was I wish they had spent a little more on better pillows. The mattress was very comfortable, but the pillows were cheap foam. The bathroom in the 'deluxe' room was updated with two shower heads. Maybe the water... more
Very comfortable room. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Would stay again!
Very comfortable and quiet hotel. Pleasant restaurant for breakfast. Staff member was able to provide good directions to function we were attending. The noise of the vehicles rolling by on the 403 was relaxing and hardly noticeably in our room facing the highway.
Our circumstances in finding a good clean facility while visiting a loved one in hospital was truly satisfied and we will be certainly staying there again in a few weeks. Thank you for all your hospitality
Very nice hotel with updated rooms. Breakfast was supposed to be available at 7am, but was not.
Spent two nights for a wedding at Dundurn...It was nice and close by
Was a beautiful room...close to where we needed to go. Guy at the front desk was a little rude..but we were early and understood that an early check in might not be possible...but we had travelled 5 hours to get there for an appointment we could not be late for. He was a little abrupt...We ended up staying at the hotel for dinner..great food....an incredible waitress...over all a good stay.... more
We stayed here as part of a conference at McMaster University and found it reasonably priced and handy for exploring (with a vehicle) the downtown area, as well as being convenient to the university. I have stayed in this hotel three dimes during visits to McMaster University. The hotel is very nice, extremely clean, the staff is nice and helpful the rooms are big and cozy , it has a nice small indoor swimming pool very kid friendly , the only thing to be improved is the breakfast which is repetitive and poor.
First, let's be clear about the location. This is not a place for someone without a car who expects to be right in the city center; it is on a busy road in a rather charmless area with, truth be told, 70s-style external architecture to match. But it's not out of the way either - just a five-minute drive from... more
Very clean, large well appointed rooms. The hotel has 3 floors and the 3d floor seems to be very quiet and has some nice greenery views from the windows, some overlook parking area. When we pulled up to this hotel, we were a little afraid as it's not so nice on the outside. A friend of ours booked it for a wedding we were attending. We have just returned from a 2 night family break with my parents and 5 year old daughter staying at the Visitors Inn. When checking in we were advised that our room didn't have a bath tub and we were asked if that was ok or if we wanted to swap rooms, which we were pleased with. Along the side of the restaurant there is a curtain of tiny hanging beads which continue along the side. Our room... more
very good experience, very clean, the personal was very Professional.
It looks like a a small motel from the outside, but the rooms are nicer than expected. Location is central but there isn't anything to do in the neighborhood.
I stayed here a few years ago and remembered the hotel for its location near Westdale Village in Hamilton. Now I will remember is for being a very attractive and reasonably priced hotel. The facilities (pool, weight room, restaurant) outside the suite were well cared for. Well done!
Everything was perfect. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms , hallways and pool, spa and sauna. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
We arrived at the visitors inn at 5:00 and entered the lobby to check in. I had booked the hotel using Expedia. It was myself (a mom) and 3 seventeen year olds. On the site, I was asked how many adults and how many children and when I checked off children expedia gave me the opportunity to click "17" as a child so I did. The front desk clerk gave me a hard time and said they were adults and... more
The room was excellent & very clean. The restaurant however wasn't the greatest. Stale pastries & muffins, only had house wine that wasn't good and not a very interesting menu.
Room was very clean & comfortable. Although we didn't use it, the pool area looked wonderful. Our stay was short and we were travelling with a young child, so we were not able to use all of the facilities.
great spot for business travel. Nice gym, beautiful pool. On-site restaurant was good. They still have a min-bar!!!
Clean! Comfy. Nice betting tons of pillows.. We were pleased with our overnight stay in the king suite.
Our family laughed at the reviews where previous guests complained about the 'shower rod being straight, not curved' and expecting a 'complimentary toothbrush at the price of the room', but took the chance on staying here despite the description of a 'hideous 1970s architectural nightmare of a building on the outside'. This hotel is clean, quiet, well staffed, close to good restaurants and McNair University. Also, just a short walk to Locke street, a cute downtownesque area. The only complaint is that the breakfast was only toast, cereal, yogurt, and pastries, but it was complimentary.
I would stay here again. Very comfy bed with four big pillows -- lots of TV channels -- free breakfast. The room was clean and pleasant. You can hear some traffic noise, as this hotel is on Main Street near downtown, but not enough to bother your sleep. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodated my extra night's stay without any issues.
Although a few minutes drive from McMaster and on the highway the room and facilities were spotless. Hotel looked inviting although we did not use it. We had a newly rennovated room and it was very comfortable and very quiet.
Very happy with this hotel. Decent price for a very nice hotel. Continental breakfast was pretty standard - there is a restaurant in the hotel if you prefer a hot breakfast. Very nice hotel room - modern, updated. Bed was very comfortable, which is surprising because I normally hate hotel beds. Very close to highway so easy to get to. A bit noisy because of proximity to highway, but certainly... more
The room was beautifully decorated, the pool facility was amazing, the service was friendly, and the location was easy to find and very convenient. We will absolutely stay here again and recommend Visitor's Inn to friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
stayed for 5 days for a professional visit to Mcmaster. Was only 20 minutes walk from the university. Breakfast is ok, just coffee / juice, muffins, bread, etc, that is included with your stay. Has several dinner options from the restaurant, and a few for vegetarians. room was clean, done daily, and spacious. Will definitely come back again.
Just stayed one night. The staff was friendly at check-in and check-out. Lobby was very appealing and restaurant offered a nice continental breakfast.
We had a great night, bedding was very comforatble.
WiFi in room was only 1 or 2 bars. Very difficult to load anything. We were on the third floor facing the Main St. and we were woken up a few times during the night due to the traffic noise. Staff were friendly, room was clean and breakfast was good.
The Wifi in the room was only 1 to 2 bars. I also recently stayed at the Visitors Inn due to a basketball tournament and was pleasantly surprised by the renovated interiors. The room was a double queen and there was no issue with 4 in the room. The bathroom was fine and getting plenty of extra towels for everyone was not an issue.

Beautiful hotel. Good breakfast place just down the street. On a one way, so watch that. We went for a concert at Copps Colluseum and had to take a taxi, but we were told the hotel was also on the direct bus route for those who are brave enough to try that. I would definately stay here again!
We have stayed many times at the Visitor's Inn and have always had a good experience there. We especially love to treat ourselves to a Jacuzzi suite. I stayed here 2 years ago, and the room and bath is completely different now. Big improvement in lobby as well. For business people, this is an easy hotel in which to get work done. Restaurant still needs work but bed was comfortable and room was greatly improved.
Cleanliness of facilities Politeness and professionalism of staff Comfort and decor of room Generous complimentary breakfast
I have stayed her several times alone on business, with just my husband, as well as with the kids. It is fun for the whole family. The hotel is basic but the rooms are very generous. They are spacious, clean and well lit. The guests always seemed to be in a good mood. Its location is conveniently on the bus route and close to westdale and several restaurants.
I've stayed here in the past and like the facilities as well as the location. It's in the city but because of where it is it doesn't feel like the city.
Rooms are surprisingly luxurious with big, fluffy down comforters. Newly remodeled inside, so everything is very clean. Staff is very nice and accommodating (they had a room ready for me to check in to at 8:30 am). The included breakfast is more than adequate (cereal, toast, pastries, fresh fruit, juices, coffee). The hotel is very nice and deceptively luxurious. Excellent remodelling. Lovely room colours and very comforTable.
I liked the environment - very calm and welcoming.
I also liked the room. It was very accommodating and relaxing.
Visitors' Inn is a home away from home.

Being a light sleeper, I did not like the fact that I could hear the sounds of moving vehicles in the room I stayed - very disturbing.

The after 11PM visitor Policy was a little hard to handle being in town with friends.
