This was honestly not a good experience. I paid almost $12 for the Bengali Squash and Kale curry. There was definitely not enough food for the price, the box was not even half way full! Butter Chicken Schnitzel Curry. My Gawd! I'm dying! Died and gone to Indian heaven. This was probably the best Indian dish I've ever had - and it came from a food truck at the Shipyards Market in North Van. So much food here to choose from and I'm glad I chose Vij's.

Tried their chicken curry just now. Curry was pretty good, lots of flavours. The rice on the other hand, was cold, tasted dry and stale. The portion was extremely small for how much it cost ($13 including tax). Would not recommend.

I ordered the Kale and squash curry yesterday from this food truck on SFU Campus. I got 60% rice, 5 chickpeas in total, 2 leaves of kale and 1 large chunk of squash... for $12!! Over expensive and the food was poorly served. I will admit the flavor and spices were very good. But I won't be purchasing this again. May I also add I waited 20 mines in line for this poor order.

Can be great, but sometimes it's hit or miss with this food truck. The mango curry fish is so delicious, and their chai tea with pistachios is awesome. The food truck experience is every bit as great food quality wise. I enjoyed a nice vegan meal at the Food Truck Festival in the summer, which included rice and a squash & kale curry. Rather exorbitantly priced at ~$11 means I'm not very motivated to eat here much -- that is a rip-of for food truck fare.

Pricey for a food truck ~ 12.50 per dish. Did not like the chai tea - tasted very watery and too much of cardamoms. Service was good. Lamb korma was a little too sweet for my liking. Butter chicken sauce was good but portion was small for the price I paid.

This food truck came highly recommended, and the Vij's brand is quite well know, so I gave it a try. It was not a great experience. It wasn't the worst, but expected a LOT better, considering the esteem they carry and the price they charge.

Tried their seared cod ball with spicy mango curry sauce at the Food Truck Festival. Delicious. The sauce had this fantastic sweetness and zing.

I had the butter chicken and thought it A-OK.The rice was nice and fluffy too.  I really want to try and chickpea salad next time!

Oh so good. I wish I could find them more often, but I don't work in the downtown core, and I rarely see them around on weekends. But when I do, I'm all over the chickpea salad. The Indian poutine (when on the menu) is worth tracking down the truck for.  Cassava fries with curry cream and paneer...delicious but fattening.  Recently had lunch at the food truck festival and my experience was not quite as good.  Smaller portions and they'd run out of naan bread.  Still, despite not being being much of a food truck person I will always eat there if I'm in the area.

It's interesting to me what people have to say about food trucks in general, but I'm really surprised at the number of people who give a low rating to a food truck because of the price. This is not a hot dog stand, people! These are high quality ingredients, cooked to order while you wait.
