The heavy wood paneling of this restaurant pub makes you feel as if you'd wandered into an English pub. We had planned on just having a quick drink and getting out of the rain but the menu was tempting. I had a seafood pasta that was unexpectedly excellent. The portions were generous and our waiter was extremely friendly but not... more
Decent food in a pub style atmosphere. Nice looking bar area, TV sports in the background but not too intrusive and, most importantly, decent food. I chose halibut, and it was excellent. Washed down with a good beer, and not too pricy compared to average in this part of the city. Recommended.
This pub is just OK. Food was basic in flavour and presentation.
Don't like having people play the slot machines beside me.
We visited on a cold, snowy April night, so I don't know how it would be on a busy night. But in our experience, the service was excellent, just the right amount of attention. We had the seafood chowder and penne, both were quite good. Prices were ambitious, but not worth any serious complaint. Nice casual atmosphere with a good... more
Went there for lunch. Service was good and friendly. The restaurant was really packed full of people, yet our food still arrived quickly. Can't complain about the food - it was standard pub food and just what we were looking for at lunchtime.
We had visited Quebec six years ago and had ate at this pub,we thought we would give it another go,what a mistake. Why do they bother to ask if every thing is ok when they dont want to here the answer. Its a pub with sport on a big screen and very poor and over priced food .see L'Assent Bistro.
Don't be put off by the negative reviews on this pub. We thoroughly enjoyed our mussels, one with garlic and tomatoes and the other with creamy mustard sauce - which was delicious. We would highly recommend this pub if you are looking for good service and good food
This pub has a huge menu.. we had a hard time deciding what to order. It's located very close to the Place d'Armmes and was an easy place to settle in for a Montreal Smoked sandwich and beer. The service was good, staff quite friendly and we'd eat there again without hesitation.
Wasn't too pleased with this place. Service wasn't terrible, but it was inattentive. Took us a while to get utensils and really the waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed by everything going on around her.
The food itself was ok, but not great, we had pasta and chicken and it was pretty standard fare, something you can get anywhere. I think...

Very cozy nice resto right in Old Quebec. Was there for a meal in march 2010 with a sales rep. Has a great menu and very fine cuisine.
Wonderful food and service. 2 minute walk from our hotel and wish we had found sooner than our last nite!
We should have known better. It looks like a tourist trap, being slightly flashy and perfectly located, but we walked in anyway. It started raining heavily and this seemed like a godsend...At least they had good beer on tap!
Typical pub food! We tried to order French eats... opted for their prix fix menu. Started with the cream of Broccoli Soup. Chicken Croquette for appetizer and Lobster Fettucini for the entree. It was all pretty decent. There was not much of a wow factor for me, aside from the canadian beer! I don't remember the name... blue something. It was good because it tasted a lot like Corona!
I'm not sure why the reviews are so low. My partner and I had a great time here. We stopped in for lunch drawn in by the window seating with wide open windows. The ambiance was fantastic! Our waiter was very friendly and they didn't mind that we were sharing an entree for lunch. The beer selection may have been somewhat limited, but the choices were good. Our entree (a curry chicken dish)... more
I'm not sure why this place has such lousy reviews, I had a great experience dining here.I drove into the city for dinner, parked the car, decided it was way too cold to walk further than the corner, and wandered into the D'orsay. We were greeted and took a seat at the bar while our table was cleared. For dinner, we had a feast. The menu on-line isn't the same as the menu that we ordered... more
We just drank at the pub-bar.Great bartendar.Reasonable prices.Good atmosphere
I came here with a group of children and expected it to be a problem. It wasn't. The food was fine for the kids with a couple eating baby-back ribs and one getting pasta. Typical food you would see at an American chain dinner house restaurant. I had the mussels which were good and plentiful but my steak was very small and chewy. As others said the beers were limited and everything was slightly... more
Le titre dit tout! L'ambiance est ordinaire, la nourriture également. Cependant, les serveurs et la barmaid offre un service professionel et courtois.
Extremely rude service. Went in for a drink on our way back to our hotel from a fantastic meal at Panache. Despite the place being almost entirely empty he would not let us sit only for a drink. A completely disgusting stereotypical fat, arrogant frenchman.
Food was average by US standards, which by Québec standards is pretty bad. It took 30 minutes to be seated, they didn't have the beer I wanted, and overall the meal wasn't that impressive. In addition, my girl said it best when she called the waiter "brusque" (at least initially, he eventually warmed).Stay away if you want the real Québec experience, stop in if you want something bland and/or... more
Stumbled in here because I was really hungry, after having walked about 3 hours, and it was below freezing out and the cold was coming up to my feet through the soles of my shoes.I started with escargots, which to my surprise came without the shells. I thought half the fun in eating escargots is to extract what little flesh lay hidden in the shell. Then I had a huge pile of mussels in a white... more
Came here with high expectations built up by online reviews from various sources, but the moment I noticed we were entering Vieux-Quebec (read: tourist HQ) the red flags went up.True enough, the proportions are adequately American sized, but the food is far from phenomenal. It's an uneducated tourist's idea of French cuisine or fine dining. Nothing on any plate was offensive, but isn't that the... more
Grande variété de thés qu'il fait bon déguster très lentement. Ambiance très zen qui donne l'impression que le temps s'arrête. Bémol : effectivement le service est extrêmement lent et pas toujours des plus souriant.
