Great venue to enjoy a play

Located in Old Strathcona this is a cozy, little theatre.
An old building, right now is working on raising funds to renovate & improve it.
This is a very busy venue, owned by The City of Edmonton and run by several representatives of different theatre companies.

Great live theatre

We were very lucky to find this little theatre while walking in the historic Old Strathcona area of Edmonton. We were even more lucky that it was two for one Tuesday!
The show was "Flight of the Viscount" a lively comedy written by David Belke and performed by a talented and enthusiastic cast. Well done! It was a great nights...

Love the Varscona
June 05, 2012I love this theatre. It's old and the seats are tight/a bit uncomfy but it is super charming. You can drink cheap wine from plastic cups and eat liquorice at intermission. Formerly known as the Chinook Theater, Varscona Theater is managed by a group of theater companies in Edmonton. It is celebrated across the country for it's soap operas, comedy and Improv performances. Besides these, the theater also hosts the annual Fringe festival.
