My son, husband and I along with my parents stayed at this hotel recently while attending an event in the area. We had two rooms: one with two double beds and one with just one double bed. We were greeted by very friendly staff when we walked in and the entrance was updated and modern. We checked in quickly and went straight to our rooms. Our room was quite small but the main bed area was... more
My boyfriend and I stayed there the other night and loved the room. It was just a king regular style room but the decor was nice and modern and the whole room was very clean. The restaurant in the hotel was wonderful! We went for dinner and breakfast. The pool is also nice, in a lovely atrium with a spa tub as well. The washroom in our room was very outdated. The ceiling was broken and the... more
The weather was quite vile while I was in Moncton, so I spent a lot of time in the hotel.
older hotel with some upgraded improvements. we were a group of women and weren't able to get a joining rooms. walls are paper thin you can hear every little noise in the hallway and surrounding rooms. had to call security in at 2am because some lady was having a very loud conversation on her phone in the hallway. Breakfast was a hit and miss a couple of people in our group only got a 1/4 of a... more
The deluxe room was on the small side but nicely upgraded. The washroom hasn't been upgraded to the same level as the room. Some maintenance issues in the room, such as bathroom door not closing properly. Ground level access with access to the pool was nice, though noise from other guests using the pool until 11pm was a concern since we have children. Restaurant was nice and food was good,... more
Hotel was very noisy, walls were super thin you could hear everyone out in.the hallways and in there rooms. Staff wasn't very friendly and overall not a very pleasant stay. Would not stay there again.
My stay at V hotel was a short one. Booked for 3 nights only stayed one. room was very clean and economical but it was a bit to small for 3 adults. very small bath with no extra space.
Enjoyed our stay at V Motel where the room was clean and newly decorated. Beds are comfortable. The restaurant at the hotel is nice and even had a piano man who sang popular songs of the 60's and 70's. It made our evening very entertaining. Staff was efficient and went out of their way to serve us. The hotel is close to downtown bars and the Capitol Theatre. You can walk on a nice day or... more
The only thing we had to complain about was that our room wasn't ready on time.
Staff were great, lobby was nice and clean, our room was very dated with yellow tile and grey fixtures in the bathroom.
Great room, good location, good price, and we could bring our dogs. The breakfast was decent too. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice!
Beds squeeked all night And bathrooms were old and small
I landed in an outdated room that had not been upgraded so it was disappointing. The reality was much less than the pictures of the lobby and the front area that has been updated. Be aware that for $89 per night you will get a room that is quite old and you will not want to walk on the carpet bare feet!
Hotel room was dated. Room was clean as long as you didn't happen to drop something behind furniture...scary back there. Room was stuffy. Turned on AC to cool it off. AC leaked water all over carpet. Shower pressure adequate and temperature consistent. Good pillows. Thin walls, could easily hear the neighbours. Lots of parking. 'Free' Breakfast options were a little underwhelming, but the... more
The room is a bit small and the air conditionner was not great but I would definitely stay here again! The bed was super comfortable, the room was very clean. Staff was great. Very good breakfast included
Overall had a great stay, Would stay there again
Overall the hotel was fine for the price. After reading that this hotel was undergoing renovations, I was really hoping we'd get a renovated room (and knew it was a possibility we wouldn't). Alas, no such luck. The room was a bit tired, the bathroom was small and yes, the air conditioning unit was noisy. But we weren't there to stay in the room all day. It was clean, bed was comfortable,... more
The room smelt musty and the carpet was old. The bathroom was old and not up to date. The Internet was not working and when we went down to bring it to the front desk staff attention, the service repair man blamed it on our devises not working, when there were 3 adults and not one of our cell phone would receive wifi. Funny!!!
Wonderful staff, excellent pool. Breakfast was a bit lacking - not enough, if you don't want to pay extra. But tasty!
Basic fairly Clean well lived in rooms Clean sheets, old but basic bathroom cleaned and fixed over a few times If you need a central place downtown fast and available its the place. Very Basic and as my heading says A little overpriced for what you get Ample free parking basic breakfast,
I was travelling with a newborn for a funeral for a family member. The staff was very accommodating, gave me early check in and late check out without any issues.
The lobby looks updated but when you walk in the room the cracked dirty yellow tub and sink and the old beds and chair makes you think you have returned to the 70s in a very bad memory! For the price…. no thanks.
The staff was excellent. We stayed in an older room not yet renovated. It was very clean and satisfying. The hotel staff showed us some of the newly renovated rooms and we were very impressed with them. They offered to move us to a new room, but we were already settled in our room. We thought that was very nice to offer the change. The restaurant was very modern. The food we ordered was very... more
We were really disappointed. The staff was ok not over friendly The rooms where ok but the bathrooms were aweful. We didn't even take a shower. The Ac in the room was really old and loud. The breakfast was a joke. The poor waiter was running around like an idiot while other people where standing around doing nothing. We all felt really sorry for him
I could tell this hotel was recently given a face lift but in my opinion they could have done more. Overall for the price it was a good deal and i did enjoy the food.
The rooms are very old and outdated. The bathroom is extremely small and undesirable, which includes a yellow sink and shower. The beds are small and uncomfortable. The price should be approximately $50 CAD per night at most.
We didn't get a newly renovated room, but the room still served its purpose. The breakfast (bacon, egg, hash browns and toast) that was included in the room was good, however I feel that the people who choose the muffin or cereal option didn't get what they would has paid for!
This hotel is not at all how it looks in the pictures. The hotel itself is older and they have renovated the lobby and some of the rooms. However the rooms that haven't been renovated are dated. The bathroom reminded me of my college dorm room - the bathtub was even pink! We were booked for two nights and checked out after the first. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and our air conditioner... more
The room was good however there was a wait to be seated to eat breakfast, none of the empty tables had been cleaned or re set to eat at, I think you would benefit from another waiter/ress
Bathroom was a tad dated, but overall my room was clean, comfy and quiet. Close to the downtown but I highly recommend getting the delux room if you can. I already booked my next stay in a delux room. Overall nice place!
Hotel was nice enough. Restaurant food was good. We had read reviews that the free breakfast was terrible, so we had low expectations, but it was totally fine. Staff was friendly. However, the service was incredibly slow. Other than that it was fine. Hot tub water looked yellow - so we were a bit hesitant to use the pool at all. They said it was normal. It must have been the tub liner... but we... more
Room was disappointing and dingy and to small. No elevator in building. Breakfast was good, but you get what they offer, then if you want extra you have to pay difference.
U set up family at this hotel while doing some family business and found the rooms tired looking and bathroom too small. There was a small tight closet and a bar fridge which didn't work. We have stayed in most of the hotels in Moncton. We always come back to the V. We have been staying here for six years. We love our Gordon and Eric who treat us royally. they are constantly improving this old hotel. probably built in the 60's, they have redone most of it. great value, drive up rooms, small pool, just off of main street, walking distance to club's and resto's. I have been staying here for years.
Stayed one night with my husband at the V Hotel and Suites in Moncton. We had booked a newly renovated room which was good. The room was clean and the hotel was in a great location. Our room was near the lobby and it was noisy so we had to put the air conditioner on during the middle of the... more
Recently renovated and upgraded. When you consider the age of the building they did a good job.
Pay the extra $5 for Deluxe & BYO Soap, everything else was great, including breakfast!
This is an old motel that had a very terrible makeover. Bathrooms were dirty and moldy, tiles were falling off, spray foam used to fill carpet cracks. The rooms still smelled of cigarette smoke even though its a non-smoking motel. Front desk staff were ok at night but not the day staff. Pool is far too small and what we disliked most was the public could pay $5 to use the pool all day, some... more
This hotel has all the comforts of a resort the staff very polite and very accommodating.. We had an amazing stay in Moncton and would highly recommend the V hotel to all of my friends travelling to Moncton.
Hotel Staff were great and hotel was new and clean and close to downtown.
We arrived half an hour after our check in time to find our room would be another 30 min. before it would be ready. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke. The decor in our room was not anything like the pictures on the internet. It was very dated. The pool area was okay, but the pool was quite small for the size of the hotel. Very little room for our kids to play due to the number of people... more
Loved the hot tub & pool but the breakfast service was awful. We waited 45 minutes and then gave up. It is not a help yourself buffet style breakfast. You have to wait to have your order taken, and it is a long wait, as only one person is serving. so, forget about the breakfast unless you have all day.
The ads for this hotel looked very nice and the photos very modern, but the room we were actually put in looked like it was straight from the 60's. The bath tile was moldy and discolored at the bottom near the tub, and the fixtures were acid green and the shower head was terrible. The room itself looked great at first glance, but soon after the "hidden" issues began to emerge. The bed and... more

Nice hotel, food is good, but the air conditionning is noisy!!!
Great facilities with interesting indoor/outdoor combo pool and hot tub. Tasty free breakfast. Great downtown location. Go for deluxe rooms that have access to pool/patio via second door.
we have been staying at this hotel since 2008 for the Atlantic Nationals, and they are the best, any thing you want or need within reason they are there, security is A1 rooms are clean and comfortable ,restaurant and servers cant do enough for you
This hotel was very accomadating. The maid service was great, always clean. The breakfast was very good along with the service. This hotel was one of the best and I would go back again.
The v-hotel has been beautifully updated, but still obviously has the "bones" of a formerly divey hotel. Still a lot of work to be done to renovate it, particularly in the bathrooms.
Other complaints include the fact that the restaurant was quite new, and therefore it took some work to find out how to contact them. No room service- had...

Awesome rooms and staff. They could improve by having a microwave in the room.
Nice price for the value of the stay. Stayed in the renovated room which were nice, but bathroom could of use some love.
Poor luck with the key coders! Every time we would access our rooms we would need to recode the key card to get inside. I had booked and prepaid this hotel through expedia.ca. The pictures on the website were impressive and the site said there was an extensive renovation in 2013. There is a lot more to do! First off, you must request a newly renovated room, as not all rooms have been re-done. The room was VERY SMALL, the bed was a small double. I don't want to be mean, so I wont. Lets just say its not up to my standards... Pros - Location: its right in downtown Moncton, NB. The lobby staff: seemed nice. The pool looks cool, and is both indoor and outdoor.
Good value for the price. Renovated. Clean room, comfortable bed. 70's styled bathroom but functional. Staff friendly, morning breakfast a pleasant surprise. Great central location. Excellent for teams travelling.
Easy to find, friendly staff.
Old, needed work. Tile is the bathroom not white and looked not clean. Furniture and bedding out dated. Pictures on line made the place look modern and update. Only thing updated was the entrance of the hotel. Pictures were deceiving.
Gordon! what a wonderful customer service agent, smiley, helpful, witty,,,and handsome!
the fact that main room was so stylish and the yellow bathtub...well with its size and color did not complete the look of the room, the loud and noisy air conditioner, my friend and I wee hot, but once we put on the loud air conditioner for cool air had to turn it off because the noise kept us awake.
The floor wasn t clean... The bathroom was discasting... We tcheked in at 11:30 pm and we left at 7am... The photo on website didn't match with reallity of the hotel
That it was downtown in a good location could walk to places I wanted to go
That I paid the same price as my friend for a non renovated room, as well that I had to put a 200$ deposit on the room, outrageous. And the staff at the front desk were very ignorant.
-staff friendly
-pool & hot tub first night

Got an ugrade to a king single room.
Room was non smoking but smelt of smoke. This motel is very tired and old and requires urgent renovation. Expensive for location as facilities are old. This is a very cheap and nasty hotel only would not recommend for more than one night. Only booked because of proximity to train station in Moncton.
Quiet location, friendly helpful staff. Room was clean.
Air conditioner did not work properly. It was filthy dirty and
didn't look like it was cleaned in a long time. Therefore, the room
was very hot and the air quality was bad.
La chambre a été rénovée mais pas la salle de bain. Ma fille a beaucoup aimé la piscine et le spa qui était juste a coté de la chambre avec une porte communicante très pratique.

Since the hotel was under renos I think $100 was a bit much.
- The newly designed rooms
- Close free parking
- Modern electronics in rooms
- Loud noisy hotel, lots of door slamming. Did not sleep at all, amazingly our room was located near the front desk and hotel did nothing to stop loud guests at 3am.
- Breakfast included with the rooms has no substitutions or alterations. So if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies your stuck not eating.
Didn't care for this place. Although they are trying to update it and it looked nice (like the pictures), the "old" still shines through. We ended up next to some very noisy people and had to ask to be moved which they did quite willingly. Then we found out that the reno is quite finished but at least it was quiet. The lobby was stylish and the rooms were very nice for motel level accommodations.
It might have been a 'off' day for staff, but except for the first woman we met at reception, the the staff were inattentive - we never received our wake up call as requested and the restaurant serving the 'hot breakfast' was late to open and unprepared to serve breakfast. The last time I stayed at this location it was still called Colonial Inn. It is hard to believe that this is the same place. I really like the changes.
The only thing I didn't like that the lounge was open until 9:30pm and that the dining room was not licensed to serve liquor. Other than that I totally loved our stay and will definitely be back in the near future.
The service was extremely good, and the breakfast was great. The room was quiet and comfortable.
Renovations are big improvement, complimentary parking, LOVELY staff
Much of the hotel is still very 'dingy' (for lack of a better word)
Price, location, night staff, breakfast was good!
Bathroom needs upgrades, only one mirror and it wasn't full length,
day staff canceled reservation and put 4 girls in a single bed room.

Bed was comfortable. No carpeting was a big plus!!
Outdated bathroom. Had to get maintenance in to get the tv to work and also the air conditioning( had to stand on a chair to turn it on and off). Breakfast was ok.
The staff was very friendly and fast. Called for towels and within 5 minutes they were knocking on the door. Liked the little playground to keep the kids entertained.
The pool was okay but the fact that you have to go outside is a little inconvenient especially when its cold outside and you're all wet.
