I bought a tray of sushi and it only came with two packs of soy sauce. There was probably around 20-30 pieces of sushi so obviously 2 packs of soy sauce isn't enough. I first experienced T & T back in the early 2000's in Vancouver. It was back then that I was half in awe half in shock of a bag of fresh shrimp jumping around in a bag on the conveyor belt as a guy was paying.

I've been to this location once and I can't figure out why it's revelled as something so special or unique. It's an Asian grocery store. Upon entry you're hit with a terribly overwhelming fish smell, one that lingers throughout your experience and demands a quick trip in and out.

I'd heard a lot about the T&T chain from friends, but when I was in Ottawa over the weekend, I finally got to see what it was all about.

It's extremely well stocked, has more items than you could ever imagine, and despite it being a busy atmosphere, it's a pretty easy place to navigate.

What an entertaining supermarket - brought my girls here for the 1st time the other day, i must say they didn't like the entire cooked duck, beak and all.....lol....they did like the entire cooked PIG.....including the face!

The seafood section is similiar to a pet store, bass, trout, eel, lobster, shellfish.....all kinds of goodies.....and lots of hard to get meats in from the butcher area

Good and big super market for Asian ingredients plus it has an area to buy prepared food as well like most of the Asian Supermarkets.

This super market is located very close to the Ottawa International Airport, like half hour from downtown.

I like to come here for lunch because their Dim Sum dishes are good and fresh; there is other plates too if you want to eat "regular" chinese food.

I have been there twice, live fairly close, but am not compelled to visit very often. I would rather go to Little Asia and buy there as many prices are cheaper and the staff are usually MUCH more friendly.

Both times I have gone it has been so crazy crowded that I felt rather uncomfortable and frustrated.

My review: meh

Taking the long drive out to the South end of town is well worth it to come to this HUGE... and I mean HUGE Asian food store. If you need something to cook asian food, it's almost guaranteed they have it. As much as you may want to take a bus out there, I suggest driving, as you'll probably end up with items you weren't planning on picking up in the first place.

T&T's arrival in Ottawa has closed a few businesses on Somerset and when you walk in you'll know why. The items are a lot fresher than what was found on the Somerset strip and they even have a full fledged bakery, cafeteria (dim sum, roast meats and various take out items) and a whole variety of seafood, groceries, pantry items as well as kitchen utensils etc. It's like any other commercial... more

I generally go here for lunch almost every day as my office is nearby and it's quick and easy... not anymore... I ordered some shrimp dim sum (looks like clam shells), and a package of dynamite rolls... 5 hours later I was so ill I couldn't get off the floor, the following 30 hours were the worst I've ever experienced. I LOVE this place! T&T (or TNT as some people call it) is an incredibly large Asian supermarket - not just a grocery store, a full-fledged supermarket. They have a few in the GTA, and I was so excited to learn that they were expanding to Ottawa - finally!
