Great food and service, a very welcoming traditional Pub atmosphere. Came in on a Monday and they had half priced appies, a great deal and really tasty!
I am a huge fan of British and Irish ale, which is why you can get me into the door of a place like Trinity, but don't care as much for heavy Irish pub fare. But I was Starving (capital "S" starving) and had to eat something along with that beautiful pour of a Boddingtons on draft. Apparently not that many people in the Whitby area like Irish food either, based on the fact that there were only... more
I'd been craving some good pub food, and this place was suggested as the place to go in Whitby, Ontario. So, we walked in for a late night supper (around 8:30 pm). It took some time before any of the servers noticed we were there (we were just about to walk out). Once seated, it looked clean and had a... more
We decided to grab a bite here before the movie. We ordered sliders and nachos - both were horrible. Would not recommend this place to others....maybe only good for a beer...not the food.
Went for lunch after a movie with a friend here for a burger and a beer. Was pleasantly surprised to see the burger was home made all ground beef and tasted GREAT! :)
I also come here with friends for drinks sometimes. Service is usually good. Monday also features 5 dollar pints and half-priced appetizers.
A great pub on the...

I only went in for a beer but it seemed like a good restaurant. My friend had eaten there before and said the food is very good. Very large bar with a wide variety of draught beers, whiskeys and some scotch. Definitely a good spot for a night out with friends.
Love the food at this pub, so much to choose from. Fish and chips are amazing and a huge order. Staff always very friendly and great atmosphere.
This was my third visit to Trinity and I finally remembered to take pictures or I would've blogged about this long ago. It's a big, beautiful pub in the theatre complex. There's lots of seating, lots of TVs and a small stage.
2 out of 3 experiences were lack luster. The first time was with my friend and it was busy. We knew there would be a wait and when they told us 20 minutes, not bad. I...

I love this place. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. I've tried almost everything on the menu and it has all been great. The atmosphere is cheerful and authentic. I quickly became a regular and thoroughly enjoy being recognised by the staff who promptly seat me in my favourite spots and bring me my beverage of choice, just the way I like it.
There are private rooms where...

Thinking we wanted upscale Irish pub food, my wife and I both ordered the steak and mushroom pie. Peas were dry and oversalted. Pie was shaped and sized like a frozen pot pie. Meat was dry. Crust was burned. Gravy and mushrooms were good. Would be graded at "C" but $14.99 price lowered the grade. Service and ambience were fine... more
Really good food. All homemade. I had the cottage pie with salad. Absolutely fantastic. My husband had the steak and mushroom pie. Equally delicious. For dessert we had the apple crumble which was just unbelievable. A must to taste. The service is excellent. The staff is very friendly
Enjoyed a nice family dinner, tuesday wings were half price & very tasty. Ordered portobello sandwhich and was excellent, haddock & chips was huge portion & quality piece of fish. Will def return. Had visited under old ownership & was disgusted but am now pleasantly surprised with new atmosphere & menu.
Dropped in for my first visit with my wife. We just sat at the bar to have a couple drinks and share some appetizers. The service was very good and the special 4 mini burgers were the best mini's we have had before. Great fresh beef and nice choice of garnishes. Can't wait for our next visit to try some... more
I have to say the staff here went out of their way to make our experience memorable.
After waiting 40 minutes for the rest of our party to arrive, we had to leave. When we went to pay for the two Coke's we'd had, they told us not to worry about it.
When we did return later that afternoon, we sat down and had a great meal on the patio. I will say the Cottage Pie was very tasty, and I was sad...

We waited 5 min or more to be served(should have left in the first 2) I ordered a burger and when I got it the bin was a hard as a rock and I could even bite it without breaking my teeth no joke! When I asked for a new one the manager who happened to be my server microwaved... more
I made reservations at Trinity for my 27th birthday in April this year. When I made the reservations I was asked where I would like to sit my party of 16 people and the server and I both agreed on an area. I told her we will be there for dinner, drinks and to see the live music.

When our friends come out from Toronto we try to visit a different restaurant each time. As it was Monday the restaurant was pretty empty. The food is really good. My husband had his usual hamburger and the rest of the party enjoyed the Steak & Mushroom Pie & Chicken Pot Pie and some of us still had room so... more
We called ahead as we had a large group coming in. The place was pretty much empty except us.
Our group of 22 were given ONE server Kavita. She was awesome...worked so hard, while 2 bartenders were more concerned about texting and chatting. Neither bartender came to help take drink orders or barely help at all. They made her drinks...yay....

I come to this restaurant once a month. A month ago man showed up and introduce himself as new manager.
I was again yesterday and noticed that food is better, service is better. Keep working hard!!!!
Well where do I start? We went to Trinity Pub because we had a friend in from California and thought she would like to see what an authentic Irish pub was like here in Canada. The place wasn't very busy, just a handful of occupied tables and we were told - I believe by the manager - to seat ourselves.... more
My wife and I went here before a movie on Saturday. It was busy, so we sat at the bar for 15 minutes then were seated. The beer was good, the food was really good, and the service was great. When we were ready to leave, we were told that they did not take debit, but there wasa an ATM... more
After reading several reviews slamming the service I was leery to try...
However, the food was very good and we had no trouble with service and in fact I would say it was well above average as we had the server visit us several times as well as the floor manager who asked us how we liked each dish and was open and genuinely interested in feedback/discussion

It's fun once in a while to go out with your spouse to an adult oriented dining establishment and have a civilized meal in peace. Such is the Trinity Pub. We have gone here on a number of occasions and sat outside or inside, weather permitting. Try the calamari, burgers, fish and chips. Good list of craft beers, wines by... more
We've been one other time several months ago and remember the food being very good. So for my grandmother's birthday we decided to give it another try. My dad called ahead to make a reservation for our party of 7. Got in with only half our party, were seated promptly but without menus. By the time the remainder of our party had arrived we had still not received our menus. When someone finally... more
Worst service I've ever experienced. When my wife and I arrived we were the first and only table there. The hostess was sweet when seating us but then it took quite a while for anyone to actually come and take our drink order. Staff spend most of their time chit-chatting at the bar with little or no attention paid to... more
Came in on a Saturday night and were greeted by two friendly hostess. No wait at all which was a plus and we were promptly seated at a booth beside the window.
It's a spacious pub with a large bar located in the centre, stone floors, dark wood, fire place and a live band playing.
The menu has typical pub fare with some Irish specialties as well as changing daily specials. They use only fresh,...

We stopped here for a light meal before going to see a movie next door. We ordered the nachos, and they were delicious. It's a little pricey for a pub, but it's a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere. Will be back.
The hamburgers are amazing, great place to have a pint and great food
Went for a late night Jack & Coke with friend and it was great, atmosphere was fantastic and the service was kind and willing to interact.
Going back soon.
Just a typical Irish pub with atypical prices. Everything is 50% more expensive than it should be and it's just standard pub fare. If you want a nice restaurant look elsewhere, if you want pub fare, look elsewhere and save 50%.
We decided to look for something open on Easter Sunday, so felt something certain would be open in the cinema complex. Trinity stood out as being the most attractive from the outside. Inside is just as lovely, a mixture of old world Ireland and a hint of the modern day.
The Guinness was great but the food was lacking. The...

The atmosphere in the pub is very nice. The food was wonderful though a little pricey. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of their menu. I saw on the menu that for Sunday brunch they have a Caesar bar – we may have to go check that out!!
We often go to see a movie at the AMC in Whitby, and many times we said we should try the (probably) Welsh/Irish restaurant that was located just in front of the main entrance – well, that restaurant closed a year or two ago. When seeing that a new restaurant opened in the same location, we’ve decided to try it... more
