Not happy.

I booked a room here because I needed to stay close to work for a business trip. After seeing the pictures onine, I was expecting to see a cute local boutique hotel. It was the complete opposite. Not like the picture

I needed a place to stay overnight when my husband had surgery downtown. We found the hotel via Expedia. Price and location were good. The picture of a Junior Suite on-line showed a seating area with a sofa and chair. However, the suite I was given was two bedrooms, no sofa or armchair. Carpeting was old and not well maintained, marked in places, where furniture may have been moved around.

Good, solid hotel stay

This place was very solid: good room, great front desk people. It's an old apartment building so the rooms are spacious (I had a one bedroom apartment) though a little Spartan in their decorations, etc, which lent a less warm feeling to the room.

Dirty room

The room was filthy. Book it but could not stay there. It was unsafe and unsanitary in my opinion. Renovated room was slightly better, but upgraded to a low standard and still unclean. Needed to find another hotel.

Nice and close the Downtown

A nice place to stay close enough to the entertainment center of Toronto so you can walk from a bar to the Stay. And still a nice and quiet location so you will have no trouble getting your sleep to be ready for business the next day.

Forget the negative reviews you might read about this hotel. The location is close to everything you might want to do or see in Toronto. The staff was friendly and our junior suite was clean and well appointed. For $135. a night, you can't go wrong. I've beeen a regular guest of the Town Inn suites for over a year, I visit them about twice a month for a couple days. This hotel is old and there website pictures are completely false. Dirty with gum in the couches and food under them, cold showers, rusty metal grates, floors broken from flooding shower, curtains falling down. Poor heating and sagging bed. Front desk staff miserable.

This hotel was not kept up, the carpets were disgustingly dirty and were no longer attached to the floor. the screen door to the patio was broken. Check-in was smooth and friendly, and extending my stay one more day was no problem. The room was very quite large and comfortable, with a separate bedroom and a kitchen. It would be perfect for a longer stay. The decor was drab, mostly gray, so I think it could benefit from some colour. Unbeatable location for the price

The hotel staff was courteous and very helpful. We were surprised by the value and neatness of the rooms for the price paid. We were very close to the University of Toronto, in town for a tour of the campus, and it was a really close place to stay. There was a grocery right across the street and a kitchen in the unit, so cooking for ourselves was an unexpected bonus in savings for our trip.
