101 Tastes To Try Before You Die - Cranberry Peach Jam
- Watered down soup is my number one pet peeve. It is really hit or miss. Usually in the evening the staff have it watered down so much that it is a waste of money to purchase it. I understand days are long but I am paying for the soup...not having enough to last the day is not my problem. I expect fresh food.Kutos on having gluten free bread.. it , however, is the worst gluten free bread this... more
Delicious food. The pickles and the coffee are fantastic. Sara is the friendliest food server EVER! The atmosphere of this place is very welcoming. A definite weekend favourite.
I've been three times: I am well-off financially and extremely well educated and was treated by the counter staff like some wino who'd just wandered in off the street. Never again!
We had lunch here on the recommendation of friends. I had a chicken sandwhich and salad. My wife had a beet and apple soup with her sandwich. We both enjoyed the food immensely. Cost of the food was reasonable. I also bought a loaf of bread from their bakery which has turned out to be delicious. You have to park... more
Everytime i've gone its been MARVELLOUS! Everything is well seasoned and completely delicious! Wonderful for lunch with soup and sandwiches! Great for snack with their baked goods counter and everything is treat! And you can always buy things to bring home too! Mmmmm... wish i lived closer, but its a good thing i don't or id be broke!
Saturday morning Jan 26th - stout, bossy cashier rude - won't be back.
This place used to be good. Now it is more of a factory offering the same selections. The bread was stale, the soup cold, the service indifferent and the prices were way too high. They are riding on their earlier glory but there are FAR better places to eat then this place.
they have home made good food and healthy eating, bake goods and sandwich and salads and they also sell homemade sauces, bread etc... more
Very much the homemade type of cuisine for take out, some eat in and coffee. Worth stopping by when in the Westboro neighbourhood
Monday to Friday scones have currents and are fresh and warm. A scone and tea for 2 is less than $10. Great deal.
I often stop here to pick up cakes or bread but I have not had any luck with the take-out meals. The sandwiches are good although a little pricey but the other items available for take-out, like the precooked chicken or salmon are not nearly as tasty and I have been disappointed in the past. Nice ambiance however if you... more
one of the best catering in the city. they catered my friend's birthday party and the food was innovative and fresh. i brought the chocolate cake...amazingly rich and gluten free
Lovely place for a quiet discussion. Can become overpopulated & parking is difficult to find. Prices for a healthy lunch are satisfactory. Even a simple coffee or tea feels like a special occassion.
I often come here for sandwiches and cakes on weekends. Love the variety and quality of breads. The must try desserts/snacks: key-lime pie, brownie and almond biscotti.
Recently at a party--catering by Thyme& Again. Food was fantastic presentation and taste. Moroccan meatballs were outstanding
Environment is pleasant. Scones are excellent.
Other food o.k. Desserts are much too expensive for quality.Butter tart is made of dough and very little filing.
Do not go for expresso coffee. Machine, and staff have no idea what ristretto expresso, short or long expresso are all the same. Maybe training staff would be a good idea. Making and serving expresso...

There must be something as the place was packed but my lunch was mediocre. If it had been quieter, the lovely light and space would be a great place to work. Food looked fresh and delicious - would be worth another try.
We buy cakes here quire regularly - this is one of the better dessert bakeries around (I can't stand grocery store cakes with their lard-filled icings). The lemon cake is wonderful, and their chocolate pecan pies are to die for.
Decent food, but way way over priced and over rated. I will admit they have original gift choices, but still way too expensive for what they offer.
An excellent selection of take-out with a few tables if you want to eat in - this caterer has offered high-end clients both superb food and outstanding service for several years - a reliable and interesting place to pick up main, supplemental or dessert courses when suddenly needed or just to add interest to a routine meal at home; also... more
It's a cute little spot with delicious home made food, to eat there or bring home. We had a coffee and deserts and it was great. There isn't much room to sit inside though. It gets very busy - that's how good it is!
In newly trendy Wellington West village (ok they are ALMOST IN HINTONBURG) great s/w, salads and desserts to die for.
We've had a few different cakes from Thyme & Again for parties and they have been a real hit! All of the cakes we have ordered from here has been delicious and very pretty looking. I'll definitely be buying more cakes from Thyme & Again.
This charming place has good food, reasonable prices for the quality and is the mainstay of many "too tired to cook" family meals. There are soups, salads, mains, appetizers and great baked goods that are fresh and many flash frozen for trips to the cottage. Art-is-in bread is also available at this location. I personally recommend the Chocolate poppyseed grandmarnier... more
I was quite disappointed with Thyme & Again. I dropped in for lunch and ordered two servings of the filet mignon with sesame sauce and a side for each: parsnips and carrots and basmati rice. It took approximately 15 minutes while I waited at the counter for the waitress to retrieve the filet, sauce and side from the fridge, plate it, and warm it up in the microwave (yup you heard right !). The... more
Amazing soups and sandwiches and other tasty entrees - incredible desserts (for Ottawa). Thyme and Again puts on an incredibly tasty lunch with great coffee options for 10-20$. They have a small eat in area, appropriate for small groups. They also do a great catering service, although expensive.
Great smoked salmon sandwiches and I always drop by to pick up the English toffee pudding. It's the best. Go and try it.
Consistently good quality, service and value for money. Nice atmosphere in the cafe downstairs but a bit lacking in vibe upstairs in the gallery section, but nice and quiet if you wan to get away from the hustle and bustle downstairs. Always popular but prompt service keeps things moving along. Also a great opportunity for some impulse buys...perfect for hostess... more
I treated myself to a Florentine and couldn’t have been happier. It was crunchy and caramelly, with a delicate chocolate drizzle to finish it off. Heaven.
I have been dining here for over ten years, both solo, and with others, because I enjoy their soup and salad lunches, all made on the premises, and beautifully prepared. The quality of everything they serve is superb. The atmosphere is pleasant and sharing tables is frequently required because the dining area is small. If you're looking for privacy, this... more
Fantastic egg salad sandwich - especially on the potato dill bread. The desserts are totally YUM, although they could be a bit more generous with the lemon in their lemon square.
Love to go into this little bistro and enjoy their homemade sandwich, soup and of course their desserts
When a group I belong to has birthday parties, one of the members often brings cakes and tarts from Th&Ag. They are unfailingly rich and delicious and a complete treat for the party honoree and everyone else.
I have been a patron of Thyme and Again since its beginnings in Hintonburg, but now really only go there when I can find nothing else in the neighbourhood. Occasionally, there will be some stellar item (well I remember the passion fruit sweet potato salad of several years ago), but overall the food is nothing special and the staff always... more
Best chai lattes in the world! yummy macaroons and fantastic sandwiches.
They do a great job of their baking and the selection of lunchtime foods is impressive. A bit on the pricey side for what you get but good quality,
Usually have a couple of gluten free baked goodies available (a very rich chocolate cake, addictive almond chocolate chip scones, double chocolate cookies).
This fabulous west-end catering shop in a favourite with people city-wide. Come for lunch, take-away dinner and order the food for your next party. This is worth a special trip!
At any time of day, you can find a tempting meal or dessert. Eat in, take out or catered ... this restaurant delivers. But come early at lunch or you will wait - this place really bustles.
I have experienced all aspects of Thyme and Again's offerings: catering, coffee and dessert, and take home food. It's all really good - I especially LOVE the tourtieres. We have a 'tourtiere-off' on Christmas Eve with friends and Thyme and Again tourtieres consistently beat out places like les Fougeres and Red Apron.
The hors d'oeuvres are delicious and artistically presented....

When I lived in Ottawa, I would frequent Thyme and Again. I was always impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the taste of their food. You are definitely paying for this luxury, but it is worth to give a go as a treat. The food is somewhat adventurous, so its not for the meat and potatoes type of... more
I too am a local and have frequented this place a few times but have found, like all businesses nowadays, it can have some of the worst service imaginable. A simple "I'll be with you in a moment" can go along way but instead the usual reaction is to just ignore those in line. I their defense, the staff never... more
I picked up a sandwich and a fruit salad for dinner yesterday for about $12. It was more expensive than heading to other fast-food options in the neighbourhood but well worth it. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection at 6:30pm and the prompt service.Has anyone tried their gluten free offerings yet?
...everything Thyme & Again had to offer looked amazing.
A decent place for a simple lunch. But when it comes to catering large events (such as my wedding) these guys get 5 stars. Delicious food, impeccable service, miraculous delivery of perfectly cooked food to over 100 guests (including gelato that they managed to serve in tact despite 32c heat). Highly recommend.
I have found this establishment very dirty. Unfortunately the food lacked flavour.
based on the reviews I was expecting something else, but the food for take away was really dissapointing, maybe its great when you dine there, but for take away, the sandwhich was dried, old and with almost nothing inside, just a tiny piece of salmon and cream, it was almost just a bun. The soup was actually tasty but not better... more
Speaking as a local, I like Thyme and Again for their sandwiches and quesadillas, so their lunches. And little else. Their takeaway is uninspirinf and their catering is way overpriced. Go for lunch, but don't take the whole kitchen home with you.
Quaint coffee/tea shop offering a selection of fresh baked goods and other light meals such as sandwiches and salads. Although I haven't tried any of their meals (either served on-site or take-outs), the baked goods were surprisingly dry especially since this place bakes its own.
What a charming place for a nice lunch! We enjoyed a nice soup, sandwich, salad, scones and tea at Thyme and Again! It was a beautiful little place, very charming deco. The location was very nice: after the great meal, there was a whole bunch of stores and boutiques all along the street. We however had a very difficult time... more
My wife, baby boy and I were on Wellington for a baby sale, and we were hungry. We had been on Wellington a couple weeks before for supper at the Wellington Gastropub and we noticed a bunch of new restaurants to try. So we took a walk down Wellington and found Thyme & Again. Well it was great and the... more
Thyme & Again catered the rehearsal party for our wedding. It was excellent and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and the service were excellent and I would highly recommend them.
Thyme and Again is known for catering, but they have a take home food shop and retail shop that caterers to all the 'foodies' in the city. The shop is in a great location, trendy wellington west. Good luck with parking- street only.
This is my favorite place to go for lunch, pick up dinner and enjoy a cup of...

Me, I love sandwiches, so we went to Thyme & Again for a light dinner after work. Unfortunately, we were served sandwiches that were wrapped in plastic and chilled for several hours.
Go for the catering. A little pricey but well worth it!
cute place, great food, menu changes almost everyday..
