Service here was really good. Prices are what you would expect for a coffee shop. Baristas were better here than Cabin Coffee. We returned here, but did not to Cabin Coffee. Try the coconut chai latte or a red symphony.
I was just looking for a place to connect to the internet and grab some coffee and I found The Wired Monk. The coffee was good, the barristas were very nice, and the internet was fast. What more is there to say?
My visit was simple: a wired-sized matcha green tea latté. The price was as good as most and better than some. It was ready quickly.
It looked like somebody's living room just beyond the coffee bar. Very comfortable and cozy.
Interestingly, the latte was not sweetened at all, leaving it to you to decide how sweet you want it. I...

This place saved us on a frigid walk to the VIA station in a blizzard early one morning. Great coffee & breakfast options, and the owners are friendly. The place was well setup and running early. A good spot to sit and watch the action on the street, assuming it's not a blizzard.
Fabulous coffee and great breakfast muffins to set you up for a long day seeing the sights if Halifax all served with a smile. Well worth a visit
Nice little coffee shop with excellent watercolor paintings on the wall. I went back 3 times to enjoy the art with my coffee
I stumbled across this place when I was walking down to the Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market. It's a bit away from the hustle and bustle from main downtown area, so it's a really nice quiet place to sit and relax. The coffee is amazing, the food is delicious, and the guy behind the counter isn't too bad either ;)
Great coffee & pastries, excellent breakfast sandwiches and wraps. Cozy, comfortable, clean, and conveniently located in downtown Halifax. Loved it! Plan to visit often.
Very comfortable with lots of space as well as good coffee, Staff were most helpful. The name is explained when you get there!
Great coffee, wireless works well, service was really slow so it's not a on-the-way-to-work coffee place
Great coffee, salads, deserts and treats. An enjoyable stop while bracing those Halifax walking moments. There is a good bookstore nearby across the street.
If they had the room, this would probably be the type of coffee shop that had poetry slams and acoustic guitar in the corner. Whatever your feelings are about that, their coffee and service are both very good.
After Piatto head over to here for a dessert and drink. Cool vibe and friendly vibe. Plus tables to sit at so that your traveling partner can walk up the rest of the steep hill to get the car while you wait!
Really nice small café near the harbor. Breakfast California Bagel was great, service was very friendly! Atmosphere inside is nice, street is a bit noisy. Can definitly recommend it!
Interesting selection of sandwiches, free wi-fi, good desserts, often have live music. Young crowd and a nice feeling.
This was a great spot to sit and enjoy a coffee, read a book, have a breakfast sandwich. Visited this place a few times on my 4 day trip.
there is too much clanging and banging of dishes... little or no attention is provided to this and with a mainly opened space, while preparing dishes or putting various things away there could be a lower noise level. If it were noise from patrons, it would not be so offensive because there is little anyone can do. I have made... more
We went to this cafe primarily because of it's cool name and we were so glad we did!
This place makes excellent lattes and the staff are friendly and kind. We ordered a large latte and the barista, knowing we were going to share, offered to put in two cups for us.
We had the breakfast bagel and a cheese...

Great Coffee! Bought some to take home to Montreal.
Fantastic coffee, wraps, sandwiches etc. The staff, particularly the own, treat you like old friends. You have to visit!!!!
Close to the Westin Hotel, this little cafe is a hidden gem. Excellent coffee, friendly service--try the squash soup!!
We had breakfast here, I had a breakfast burrito, just the right amount of spice for breakfast, with coffee, and my partner had the fruit and granola with yogurt, also excellent.wi-fi available.
I love the Wired Monk! Went three days in a row on my visit to the city. Wonderful rich coffee, quaint place for a chat and great for students. The staff is beyond friendly and aim to make your visit a happy one. If Iived in the city I'd be there once a day at least. p.s. try their breakfast... more
The Wired Monk has to be one of my favourite spots in Halifax to take a quiet coffee & lunch break. The food is delicious and fresh, with a great selection of made to order sandwiches, and tasty soups daily. They also have a great selection of fresh baked goods. Prices are very fair and reasonable, and there free trade... more
We love the coffee here and the atmosphere but the lunch menu is weak. But go just for the coffee
For coffee lovers and tea drinkers this is the place to visit.
Try the expresso tea yes tea its really strange but very nice
If you're looking for a quick coffee and treat, it is a good place to go. If you're looking to settle in with a cup of coffee and read the paper, not the best in the summer with all the traffic (seems like it is on a bypass truck route).
The staff are friendly, the coffee is delicious, the food is fresh and the WiFi is free.
We bought a Restaurant.com coupon to use on our shore stop in Halifax during our cruise to Montreal. We were looking for a light vegetarian lunch and were pleasantly surprised when we entered the café. It ended up being the perfect choice. The smell of fresh coffee infused the air, wait staff and servers were friendly and spoke English so... more
This little cafe is a nice alternative to Starbucks. Order the "wired" size and you'll get a large size of java that is brewed really well. They have a "lower fat" cinnamon roll that is actually delicious! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is calm and cozy.
I was introduced to the Wired Monk a couple months ago and was very surprised. If you're looking for a good espresso, here's the place for you! Its nice and strong and their single is equivalent to most coffee shops' double, all at the same price. Great smoothies, a variety of sandwiches which I bet most people have never tried, and yes, a liquor license.
Their coffee wouldn't rank as my favorite in town but as they're located just across the street from work, it's really convenient. On the other hand the chocolate chuck cookie they make is really, really good and I highly recommend trying one....or two.
A nice quiet place to sit down with a friend and enjoy the atmosphere. The food was good and the service was great. They also serve martini's and beer which I wasn't aware of - might be a good place to have a drink with a friend in the evening.
The California bagels, with avocado is a very tasty sandwich.
Not close enough to downtown to walk for lunch, but it's a cool weekend hang-out for the trendy South-End crowd.
They host local musicians downstairs and have a liquor license too, if you like your coffee with a splash of alcohol.
I wish we had one in Dartmouth in our neighborhood. Such a great coffee shop and community spot with local poetry night and musicians.
Espresso is the base ingredient for all the specialty coffees here, so your caffeine craving can always be met! Great baked items too. It's a bit out of the way if you don't live within the neighbourhood, but it's a great alternative to the bigger coffee chains.
The Wired Monk Coffee Bistro offers these services: coffee, terrasse, cafe terrace.
