While its renovations are clearly inspired by New York, this 1916 boutique hotel retains a distinctly Canadian feel. Rooms and suites come in various shapes, sizes, and configurations (sofa beds and adjoining doors are good family options) as befits the building's original architecture. All have king- or queen-size beds, plug-and-play gadget panels, and in-room safes that accommodate laptops.... more
Many hotels in downtown Vancouver occupy newer buildings, so it's a pleasure to find one -- and especially one as nice as the St. Regis -- in a so-called "heritage building," dating from 1913. The owners have transformed it into a unique boutique hotel that's handsome inside and out, filled with contemporary art, and wired for up-to-the-minute Wi-Fi. The redesigned rooms and suites have a... more
Formerly a run-down hotel with a stripper pole in the basement, this 1913 relic (no relation to the St. Regis in New York or its namesake luxury brand) had an $11 million facelift in 2008. Now it caters to style- and budget-conscious families and business travelers in the core of downtown. The 65 rooms and suites feel larger than their size (under 300 square feet) and are handsomely tailored... more
I made a last minute, unplanned stay here on a US holiday weekend. I was missing a few things like toothbrush, phone charger, etc but the staff was extremely helpful with everything I needed. They also gave me lots of great advice on things I might be interested in around town. The room was compact, clean and functional while I think the price might have been inflated a little bit since it was... more
Excellent location and super friendly staff. Plan to stay there again on our next trip to Vancouver.
Centrally located: walk to the cruise port, gas town, sea wall and China town.
The place is nice and easy to get around. Its close to shopping and some great places to eat. The hotel offer FREE world wide calling. Only one complaint is no mini fridge.
We use transit to get around in other City's to avoid the hassles of navigating and finding parking in other cities. This hotel was perfectly situated to allow a quick transfer from the airport and to get to all the major sites within central Vancouver without any issues. The staff was welcoming and friendly upon arrival, and the room was beautifully appointed. The staff was more than able to... more
Carpets are a bit smelly, perhaps need replacement
Very friendly and courteous staff. Great location. Can be a little noisy (especially on Sat evening). Breakfast can become boring with limited options available - with extended stay.
Great location, central to everything. Staff courteous & helpful. Always called us by name. Wonderful full cooked breakfast.quality boutique hotel.
This was a wonderful hotel, excellent location but the staff made the stay. From the moment we pulled up in the taxi until the called one to pick us up on the final day. I have never stayed at a hotel, with such friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was delicious. It is in a great location for walking to great eateries, shopping and tours. Would... more
Charming boutique hotel in great location to major city sites and shopping
Fantastic staff and lovely rooms. Definitely the boutique service better than many other many major hotel brands
The staff at the St. Regis hotel were very accommodating. They went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Given the chance, I would stay here again. The location is great. It's only a short walk or drive to almost all the main attractions downtown.
Friendly and clean but lack certain comforts. Issues with check- in, number of guests and laundry trollies that move through breakfast area. The staff is very friendly though. Have to stop in street on arrival to get a parking pass. Complimentary breakfast choices are very limited. Overall you can do better for the same price in Vancouver. It is very central in downtown Vancouver
The only bad thing was I stayed on the first floor and could hear the noise from the street. Everything else was perfect!
Great hotel in downtown Vancouver in the main shopping district. Staff fiendly and helpful. Room was stylish and comfortable with a great bathroom with complimentary robes. Internet free
Room is clean and modern. In general all the staffs are useful and friendly except the manager. He always didn't bother to look at the guests and ignored us even though the counter located right in front of main door of hotel. Breakfast was good. Parking is in next building, a bit inconvenient and very crowded.
I stayed here for 2 nights while in Van yet again for a workshop. Location was prime, but the hotel has a nice personal feel to it since it is on the smaller side. Rooms were very nicely upgraded and clean with all the trimmings, including an extra plush throw blanket in the closet, chocolates on the pillow, huge closet and bathroom, etc. The amenities included in the price were top notch for... more
I have spent 7 nights in the last month in the hotel. Always a pleasurable experience. Wonderfull breakfast in under 5 min. All staff polite and friendly. Bar next door is active and staff there best in a long time. Good food and happy hour specials. Recommend to everyone.
excellent staff, nice service, i enjoyed free wifi and free international calls, B/f included. slightly noisy at night. windows needs to be sound proof. Rooms vibrates when people moves around in upper floor and sideways.
I would highly recommend St Regis! The staff was extremely accommodating: helping us to make reservations at restaurants, plan daily outings, help with directions etc. The location was perfect! We walked everywhere! We had chocolates waiting for us nightly as our beds were turned down, and woke to an exceptional "made to order" breakfast in the downstairs dining. The daily Steve Nash gym pass... more

Excellent hotel and location. Close to restaurants, city train and Canada Place. Hotel staff was great!
Excellent service and wonderful hotel! This place is highly recommended!
Amazing service! We asked for dinner recommendations and got to view menus for downtown restaurants. Concierge even made reservations for high tea and was verrrrrry accommodating. Very personal and love how they greet us by our first names!

Excellent location. Small hotel with tiny elevator and room, but the staff was friendly and I will definitly return. I have stayed in Vancouver numerous times, and this hotel was one of my favourites.
Would be more than happy to recommend The St. Regis, the staff were some of the most helpful I have had the pleasure of meeting in over 30 years of travelling the world. Rooms are of a decent size, very comfortable with a well appointed bathrom and toiletries. Location in central to shopping and many restaurants/Pubs.
I don't normally rate hotels on here, but the staff was so incredibly attentive, the hotel was so nice and the room was amazing that I had to give them credit because they deserve it. Excellent choice for a hotel if you are planning on visiting Vancouver's city centre!!
Hotel is clean and in a great location, with a very nice free sit-down breakfast. They need to get valet or something, trying to haul our suitcases and ski equipment from the basement of the garage next door was less than ideal. Internet was free but signal was very sporadic which made it almost unusable. The poor guy working the front desk was very energetic and tried to be helpful but seemed... more
The room was very clean. The bed was great. The restaurant downstairs was very convenient.( It is a lounge with TV so not especially quiet.) The breakfast was made to order and perfect. The service was cheerful and excellent.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The room was booth clean and comfortable. The location worked well for us to walk to Rogers Arena. The staff was helpful and accommodating. James, the door man that greeted us was a rockstar! Thanks James!
Had a great stay at this lovely small boutique hotel. Staff were very helpful and the room was wonderful. Elegant finishings and design. I will be back!
Great kidless, getaway! The hotel is very clean, renovated and pleasent. Great location just downtown Vancouver. Very good service. Complementery breakfast was great , fresh and very covinient. Defenetly will stay there again
This hotel is located in the heart of the city centre. Walking distance to everything.
Great place to stay, staff were very friendly and helpful.
We loved the hotel! The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location was excellent for getting anywhere downtown. My only complaint was the street noise and also the bed was not the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever had, but it was certainly not terrible.
Fantastiskt bra service Mycket trevlig personal som är intresserade av gästen mycket Hjälpsamma, Finns så man får låna adapter till vägguttag rummen är bra sängen lite hård Frukosten är inte som i Sverige utan man beställer från en meny
This hotel was perfect: easy walk to Canada line (train line to airport), right above Granville station and meters from buses. Lots of great restaurants around. Underbart litet mysigt hotell med bra personal beläget nära till allt. Toppen med frukost som ingick.
Lovely hotel every thing was perfect. Very easy access from the airport. Take the airport train, change to the sky train line at Waterfront and get out at Granville station
Complimentary breakfast was off a menu and blows away most breakfasts I have paid for. Very impressed, will definitely stay again.
Great location if you're traveling without a car. Easy to reach from airport sky train. Walking distance to everything. Really good breakfast. Lots of character, but very clean and modern. Surprisingly roomy for a boutique hotel.
The hotel has nothing to do with Starwood (Westin etc), in spite of using a name that in other countries is the luxury tier of that chain. Room was small, facing street, noisy. Hotel has no driveway, need to throw flashers on street in front. Car overnight in public parking garage across street, hatch window smashed and ski-boot bag stolen (go figure). Won't come back.
It is one of the best Hotel I have stayed at, and I travel lots! Great staff, wonderful room and wonderful location.
Great service from front desk, great made to order breakfast. Room was small but adequate. First floor is a bit noisy, and it seemed to be hot no matter how much we turned the heat down. Would stay again. The value of the breakfast included makes for a good prices hotel.
Very nice modern hotel. Excellent breakfast , helpful staff. Enjoyed staying in St. Regis very much. Will definitely stay again
規模は小さいですが、空港からのアクセスもよく、非常に快適でした。アメニティーも充実していて、女性一人旅でも過ごしやすいホテルでした。
Awesome hotel. It's right downtown within walking distance from everything. 5 minute walk to Gastown. 10 minute walk to Yaletown. 10 minute walk to the arena. Right by Granville and shopping. When we travel, we don't need much from a hotel since we don't spend a lot of time in the room. St. Regis was an inexpensive option that exceeded expectations. Nice, modern room and an extremely friendly staff, who were very helpful and genuinely concerned with our satisfaction. Free WiFi and breakfast to boot. If we're back in Vancouver, we will definitely stay here again.
We had great service, umbrellas and parking included included. Best free breakfast and fitness center access I've ever had at a hotel.
Pretty solid hotel.
1.) Excellent free breakfast made to order. I'm not talking the c@!%!y continental stuff with cereal boxes and pastries, but a real breakfast with eggs, potatoes, orange juice, and BACON.
2.) Free wi-fi!
3.) Centrally located and very walkable. Next to all the major metro lines, good restaurants, bus lines. One straight shot to the airport as well.
4.) Great service....

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was definitely a very nice hotel. It's located right in the middle of all the action so it was nice to be able to get around with out a car. I have recommended this hotel to colleges as an option to much more expensive hotels in the area. Rooms are small but nice, and the hotel has a nice boutique feeling to it. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our anniversary. It was clean, modern, the staff were very friendly and it was all at a very reasonable price for the area. We're already talking about coming back in the fall.
My husband and I just returned from a weekend away in Vancouver. We stayed here at the St. Regis. Both of us loved the hotel. I've been trying to frame this review for a while now, because the St. Regis is better than average, but not quite very good. This hotel is located in an incredible downtown location, has a fantastic pub and an amazing high end steakhouse (Gotham) attached. The rooms are very modern and clean. I had 5 nights at St Regis over New Years in Vancouver. It's in a great location close to everything and was great value for money as well. Breakfast everyday was also delicious and i'd recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Vancouver for a stay of any length of time. The bed was very comfortable, bathrooms big and roomy with plenty of space. All in all, a top notch hotel. Thank you.
Very friendly welcome and exceptional value for a downtown hotel. The included wifi and bottled water were appreciated.
Quiet, boutique hotel where the front counter remembers you by name as you come and go. Great location, walking distance to Robson shopping and Gastown nightlife, plus located above the skytrain station. Our room was uber quiet and comfortable, especially with the extra craft beer package - 22 oz bottles of local beer on ice when we arrived at our room. Breakfast is included, and it's a far cry... more
This is one of my new favorite boutique hotels! I stayed here for business recently and really enjoyed every minute. Room was nice (a little small, but not cramped), bed was very comfy and had a great shower. Friendly and professional staff. Great breakfast included.
The staff were efficient and friendly. Omelette for the breakfast was excellent and the staff in the breakfast room were very helpful.
Check out at 12 oclock was beneficial, and we enjoyed all the small touches in our room, for example chocolates on the bed and an image of a burning wood fire on our TV at Checkin
Enjoyed our stay
The room was beautifully appointed, and easy access to internet. I loved the breakfast, it was so unexpected to get such service at breakfast.
Everything was great.
Staff is friendly and helpful.. Concierge calls you by name. Room was small but clean and had everything. Temperature was very warm at night but you could open window.. that helped. Nice breakfast.. close to everything downtown.
Okay, so the elevator is pretty small and fits only 2 people with their luggage. Other than that, this place is amazing. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There is nothing not to like about this place.
Quality furnishings decor and food services
Did not enjoy having a room above the noisy pub on the weekend
The room looks very nice. But parking is bizarre. It seems that the hotel has only about 15 spaces in nearby parking garage. The hotel staff were very helpful and made the overall stay a success.
Lovely bed and service was fantastic. A nice home away from home.
First the good: the room was comfortable, cozy and had good climate controls. The location is convenient and there are many nice extras including worldwide free phone calls and a cooked-to-order breakfast.
However it is not a “real” St. Regis. They may try to fool the unwary by mimicking the well-known St. Regis website – but this place is clearly not an over the top luxury hotel like the...

Perfect location.
Best hotel experience I ever had!
Not much to not like.
Small lift?
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and well organized. And the breakfast was one of the best complementary breakfast that I have had.
Excellent breakfast. Great location in the heart of downtown.
Slightly expensive for what you got.

Excellent service and very helpful staff.
I find the breakfast order and service arrangement not comfortable. I would rather have the Buffett arrangement for breakfast and let guests suit themselves.
The Staff was fantastically friendly and helpful.
Having free International calls was an absolute bonus as my pre-paid mobile had almost run out and I was able to ring Oz when I liked.
The daily breakfast was also a great bonus- generous one, too.
The rooms were small, but with a 100 yo hotel, that's normal.
Location convenient to downtown. Nice bathroom and toiletries.
Room at back on lower level was noisy from air conditioning vents on the roof. Breakfast choices were a bit restrictive would prefer a buffet style.
Great hotel which did exactly as advertised. Wonderful front desk staff who were always helpful, comfortable rooms and a central location. Breakfast was a bonus.
i found the furnishings of rooms, and particularly the breakfast room, rather dark, but it may be a personal preference.
Friendliness, free wifi and international calls, free breakfast, bathroom, location. Concierges particularly good. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Limited facilities, eg gym and spa

Staff were amazingly helpful, the design of the hotel is great - truly a boutique hotel.
We stayed here for two nights during our last visit to BC. Upon arrival I was surprised to find that this St Regis has zero affiliation with the St Regis hotels owned by Starwood.

Services are also a thumbs up - arrived at the hotel early and the staff informed me that my room would not be ready for another 15 min and he guided me to use their computer facilities first... more
Location could hardly be better and staff is very professional and courteous. Good breakfast.
Very minor flaw, you have to use the single lift in the building to access the breakfast room... rush hour traffic in the lift during breakfast time!
The St. Regis was a centrally located, elegantly appointed hotel. My wife doesn't care for elevators, so we got a room on the first floor, and got to know the clean, nicely decorated stairway well. Ryan, one of the concierges, was very helpful and friendly as were all of the people at the desk. Would gladly stay there again

For this trip I wanted to try a boutique hotel rather than the usual chains. Also its location in relation to shopping, food, metro stations made it an ideal choice.

I loved the close by gym which guests got free access to, there were lots of equipments and a lot of space. The location is amazing, nearby shopping around every corner as all the main shopping streets were there (Robson, Granville, etc.)

Phenomenal hotel. The staff were welcoming and so lovely. They really made the place. Management should be proud of their representatives.
I have absolutely nothing negative that I can think of at all! Probably the best hotel experience I've had in a long time and at a really incredible price. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Vancouver.
Really enjoyed our stay. Just one night, but absolutely no complaints. Friendly, helpful staff, room was spotless, bed was extremely comfortable (got upgraded to a King room), shower was great and hotel was very quiet. The complimentary full breakfast was delicious. The hotel has very nice amenities and included a buffet continental breakfast in the basement dining room. For the price that I paid to stay at the St. Regis, I found it to be an exceptional value considering it's location and its very decent accomodations. The breakfast is very good - cooked to order with a lot from which to choose. But the rooms are very, very small with poor views and the service just OK.

Beautiful, clean rooms. Allowed us to check-in early after our cruise. A short walk to the 'Gastown' area. Two young men at front desk were very helpful with directions, etc. A short walk to the sky-train--easy way to the airport at only $2.50. Rooms on the street side were noisy; take earplugs. Will always stay at St. Regis Hotel when I'm in Vancouver.
Absolutely top place to stay >after long flights from Australia via LAX & checking in at 1.00am ,the staff from this night & every other day of our 4 day stay could not have been more helpful or Courteous.
Staff very helpful and accomodating
The staff were very friendly & super helpful!! The room decor is modern-simple & have everything you need for a short stay. Nearby eatries & supermarket also made the stay convinient. Good location near 2 train stations. Not the fanciest hotel around but it's definitely a good & comfortable hotel. Would definitely return & recommend this hotel.
I celebrated my birthday here & was impressed by their site. The price is okay considering it's located in their downtown area. I'm from California, so I've never seen the hotel before, but I assumed it would be a larger hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious. They give you complimentary bottled water, which is cool because other hotels usually charge you $5-7 if you open their botttled water.

Fabulous 'find'. Boutique style hotel, v helpful staff (do ask about cheap Asian eats) and close to transport and the city. Step out the door, look down Seymour st. to Grouse Mtn-wow. Chocs on pillow the crowning glory, 24hr coffee spot across the road. Will stay there again.... congrats to the team there. Small character Hotel with small excellent rooms. The breakfast is a great bonus, Thank you Tammy for your excellent service for breakfast. My one concern is that I had tried to arrange a higher floor (weeks in advance after the booking) and was disappointed with a 2nd floor room. I have stayed at this hotel prior to this and they did nothing to accomodate me. The front desk staff seemed to... more
Great hotel! This was my first trip to Vancouver, so I don't have other options to compare it against, but the hotel was newly remodeled and everything was very clean. They have a great restaurant/bar attached to the hotel, and the place was pretty active after work hours. Room wasn't very big, but the bathroom was great and the bed was comfortable. They also offer a free voucher to work... more
Boutique Hotels are great.
Service is faster, rooms are more updated and the overall atmosphere is so much cozier.
Stay at the St Regis for 2 night while in Vancouver on a recent trip.
Parking anywhere in downtown is bad, but the parking spot exclusively for St Regis was right off the building. It was safe and heated, so the $25 a day charge was well worth it.
The choice for me to come back...

Had a three day stay in March 2010. After staying in giant condos in Whistler and the Pacific Palisades Hotel earlier in our visit, the king executive room at the St. Regis seemed really small. No fridge was the worst part. We filled up the sink with ice to keep drinks cold. We talked to the hotel about possibly paying to upgrade to a suite but we couldn't afford it. I thought it would have... more
Our room was very neat and tidy, was cleaned and bed remade daily. St Regis is in the best location, close to all major sites in Vancouver Downtown with very easy access to buses and the North Vancouver ferry. The staff at St Regis are the most helpful and friendly that my husband and I have ever seen! They were fantastic! Room also includes a awesome breakfast daily, we had a chance to order... more
Extraordinaria eleccion. Situación excelente, personal amabilísimo, instalaciones modernas y limpieza extrema, todo ello a muy buen precio. Sumar a ello el extraordinario desayuno americano que sirven y queda claro, si vuelvo a Vancouver, volvere a este hotel.
This being our first trip to Vancouver and not knowing the city at all we just crossed our fingers that the room we prepaid online for would be a.) in a good location, and b.) clean and comfortable. Well lets say those expectations were exceedingly met.
The hotel itself we found to be perfect. Great location, awesome accommodating service, and a great room. We walked everywhere. Gastown is...

Highly recommended, great location in the center of downtown. The hotel was recently renovated and significantly upgraded. Great staff...friendly and informative. Included hot breakfast is a nice added touch. The only minor complaint is the parking is at the garage next door. There is no direct access, you go outside and walk about 200 feet to enter the building next door and then take an... more
Excellent location, very friendly and very helpful staff. Great breakfast and beautiful room. Would definitely recommend. Only downside for us was room overlooked busy street and we stayed Sat night so was noisy - we are used to complete quiet at night so may not be a problem for others.
I would have said 4 1/2, but 5 is good too. I love how clean and modern this hotel is. It's beautiful, the staff is SO great. Friendly, entertaining, and accommodating. The only reason I would say less than five is because there is no bathtub. I love bathtubs on vacation. They also have a complimentary "continental" breakfast. "Continental" because they also give you the option of bacon and... more
It was good value for money. The room was spotless and the staff pleasant and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised. The continental self-service breakfast was very substantial - plenty of choice. At the time of our visit, there were alterations taking place which meant the only access to the lower level breakfast room was by the only lift in the building. It did not cause us any problems,... more
Okay for one night but would not like to stay any longer. AC very noisy. Good breakfast included. Good position for Vancouver.
Would only recommend it now to munchkins! Word 'suite' didn't mean much. Oct 07 they say they are doing major remodeling. Clean, good breakfast & great bathroom/shower but NO ROOM to walk between the queen bed & the LARGE piece of furniture which housed the TV. Tiny AC unit couldn't keep up with even moving the air even though it was quite cool outside -- opening tiny window was not a... more
