I am a regular at The Rovers. Whether I am catching up with friends over drinks, or having dinner with my boyfriend, it is a place that makes everyone comfortable, and everyone leaves satisfied. I like healthier options, while my bf prefers pub classics, and that's exactly why The Rovers works for us- its a no-brainer! Plus, I love a great selection of beers, and watching the hockey game on the big screen is exactly the way it should be seen (except when the Leafs lose!). It's comfy, unpretentious, and overall, a great spot. Check it out!
Liked the wide variety of beers on tap, but when I tried some of the less popular beers it tasted like the lines had not been cleaned in a while. I also didn't enjoy the chilli.
I go to Rovers at least once a week with my friends for dinner and drinks after work. The newer staff are all really friendly and fairly quick with taking and bringing orders (some of the old staff were super slow and somewhat rude).
Love the sweet potato fries and they have a HUGE selection of beers (Hoegaarden baby!). Best part is the free UFC and oh so comfortable booths. Awesome place to chill out, relax and enjoy a good drink with great company.
Live music, free UFC, a flatscreen at each booth, pool table, foozeball, pinball machine, guitar hero, and yoga sessions....you name it, and this bar has it. The Rovers is by far the most hospitable bar atmosphere that my friends and I have been to in a long time. My friends and I have been going to this bar for a year now, and are 'veterans', so to speak. The owner of the bar has allowed my friends and I to host several succesful events at this bar, and we also hold the majority of our personal events (i.e. UFC nights, birthday bashes, etc.) at The Rovers.
If you want great food, and a chill atmosphere, definitely hit up this bar located in the Annex. It's like a BIG house party in a bar setting. What more could you ask for?
My friends and I have been hitting up Rovers since they opened last year. It's probably the only no cover UFC place in the city. Love the free pool and foosball. Comfy booths, awesome wings and plenty of beer. What more can you ask for? My recommendation is the nachos with chicken.
I went to The Rovers Pub for a World Cup game and it was awesome! Not only do they have large TV's above the bar, but they have a TV in EVERY booth!!! I had a blast! They really go all out with their events. Not only that, but they have a great selection of beer and the food is yummy, although I would stay away from their chili...something just wasn't right with it. Overall, a great hang!
I had a great meal at the Rovers the other night. The fresh home made patty burger with mushrooms was mouth watering tasty! Great place to hang out with friends!
The Rover's Pub is a relatively new addition to the Annex. They do things a little bit different than the average pub including outfitting the space with booths that come with personal TVs, decent pub grub and a good selection of beers on tap.
First went to the Rovers with a group of friends after a nearby Pub decided our group was too big and declined us service. We got quite the opposite reaction from the Rovers, who gave us free nachos! Very friendly staff has made this our regular meeting spot.
There doesnt seem to be a review about that this place that isnt overwhelmingly negative, or thats obviously been written by a member of staff, I.E. reviewers with only one review to their credit singing glorious praises about the food, service, and atmosphere. (Folks, if ya work there, maybe try and be a LITTLE less obvious about it.)Ive been here a few times for a quick pint. They show EPL... more
How can you have a pub called "Rovers" and have no Guinness on tap is beyond me.
I've been there twice. The first time the service was fine but the beer was on the pricey side. Second time was there on a very busy night (hockey semi-finals). Manager was very accommodating of the big group, but the service was very slow, the food was only ok and it was very expensive.
Poor service. Ran out of wings, fries & nachos. The $12 nachos (that we had to beg and threaten to get after 1 hour of waiting) were terrible - no cheese, burnt. Definitly walk past this place & go somewhere else.
i was excited when this place opened... thought it might be a good local choice. wrong!the waitress brought us a stack of appetizer plates, didnt even serve the plates to each person. when we unstacked them, there was leftover nachos and toppings on one of them. the meals themselves were pretty BAD. the chicken parmesan was stacked on top of overcooked pasta and the whole thing was cold. the... more
Rover’s Pub replicates an authentic English establishment, right in the heart of the Annex. Classic pub fare and 16 draught beers round out the genuine feel of this casual hangout. Featuring 21 TVs, one in each booth, a large projector for watching major sports games and events, and a Golden Tee Golf Game, Rover’s is known for more than its food and drink offerings. Bangers and mash, fish and... more
