A two-story hotel six (long) blocks from the heart of town, this building has been a cannery, barracks, and basket factory in its 100-plus-year history. The decor draws on this past: brick-lined corridors, latched barn-door-style room doors, and second-floor rooms with the original factory beams (now painted off-white) embedded in the vaulted ceilings. Rooms are streamlined and somewhat... more
I worked here in the summer of 2003 at the lounge and pool bar. It is NOT in NIagara Falls. It is a 20 minute drive from Niagara Falls, in a beautiful town called Niagara On The Lake, known by locals as NOTL. As a kid my grandfather used to take me there, for snacks. I loved it then, I love it now. It was built in the 1890's as a cannery. You can still see its orginal purpose in its brick walls... more
Pool way over crowded, not large enough to accomadate number of rooms. Spa worn looking, slippers and robe were thread bare.
Was here this past weekend for an outdoor wedding ceremony
Very pretty venue - the pool area looked great and I was super jealous that I couldn't go for a swim!!!
It is a lovely hotel, but you have to twist and wind your way through the hotel to get to the spa. It is in a basement type of area that is very dimly lit and quite cool. The rest and relaxation area was a bit loud with people eating lunch, but the seating itself was very comfortable. The change rooms and facility are spacious and clean. The treatment itself (pedicures) were great although we... more
I had higher expectations given the price of the hotel. The qualities of the towels could have been better. The bottles of water provided in the room were not replenished each day. Water (from melted ice) was not emptied from the wine bucket. The bathroom set up was poor. It had a pedestal sink, so other then a tiny glass shelf, no where to put your toiletries etc. When we came back to the room... more
From the rustic brick walls to wine themed decor and vintage look-the inn was everything we thought it would be and more. Our room was very comfortable, all of the amenities were there...even a keurig for coffee the next morning-which from a coffee addict is extremely pleasing. A single rose was left on our bed after the turn down service-beautiful touch. Would definitely recommend the inn... more
Talk about an escape from everyday life! And it's just a hop skip and a jump from Buffalo. I stayed here one night in the dead of winter and felt like I took a trip halfway around the world, coming back completely rejuvenated.
Unfortunately I did not partake in their spa services (they were booked - make a reservation because this place attracts a lot of wedding parties) but I can comment on...

I would highly recommend staying here if you're feeling fancy and want a relaxing getaway.
We first came here for an afternoon because a friend tipped us off that if you pay for any kind of treatment, you can use the facilities for free. We got massages at the spa, and then used all the pools, sauna, etc. And all I can say is OUTDOOR HOT SPRINGS IN THE WINTER. 'Nuff said.
So recently we...

I went to the Pillar & Post Inn for a wedding reception this past weekend in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The inn is walking distance to downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake. Pillar & Post has a rustic, country inn feel. The entrance was dressed up to the nines with a huge Christmas tree.
The venue was very inviting and laid-back. The service at the wedding was wonderful! The bar made pre-made drinks to allow...

I really enjoyed my stay at Pillar and Post. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and our room was very clean and comfortable. The Spa was very relaxing and they had many facilities that we were able to use. I highly recommend this place!
Neither the hotel nor [...] would take responsibility for the hidden 13/nt. room fee. The hotel was nice and service very attentive, but this was a bait and switch.
Wonderful experience, waiting area and spa rooms are lovely and relaxing. The outdoor hot tub is wonderful exspecially in the winter months. The only downfall is if your massage room is close to the hallway you might here some noise from people going in and out of the outdoor hot tub.
If you take full advantage of the wonderful spa amenities offered to you (particularly the hot springs) then the Pillar & Post is well worth it. The rooms were nice (nothing spectacular), the service excellent, and the room-to-room service of complimentary roses were a nice touch.
We were there for our 20th anniversary. We got the traditional room and they bumped us up to deluxe. THey went out of their way to make our stay great.
We would recommend this hotel to other The service, food, spa and hot springs were great. Great value booking with Skoosh
They have a wonderful outdoor mineral jacuzzi. The food at the restaurant was great. The waitstaff was knowledgeable & friendly. Fine selection of food. The pools were clean & they offered water exercise classes. The fitness center was clean and state of the art equipment. Full sauna services avaialable. The staff was very friendly and went out of the way to make sure all of your needs... more
I would definately recommend this hotel. We stayed for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The onsite restaurant was fabulous, and the spa was out of this world. A dip in the hotsprings really made it fantastic! It is a touch on the pricy side, but worth every cent!
From the start the staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was comfortable and the restaurant was very good if expensive. There is a nice warm indoor pool with a hot tub. One pleasant surprise is that at the spa there are natural hot springs! The hotel has a complimentary shuttle and if the weather is nice it's an easy two block walk to historic Niagara on the Lake.
Our room had a gas fireplace...which we ran at the same time as the air-conditioner, considering it was mid-September and the weather was still warm. It helped with the...ambiance.
