Decent Property

We stayed in suite 1212 for a one night, weekend getaway. The property was decent and clean. The suite was huge and comfortable. The pool and whirlpool were actually very nice as well. The staff was decent. The location was very convenient to Parliament Hill.

Definitely NOT a Luxury Hotel

On the hotels website ..it states this property as being a "Luxury Hotel" of Ottawa!
For being in Canadas capital it's a shameful hotel! The rooms and bathrooms are VERY outdated!
The front desk don't have the guest service you would find in a Fairmont property.

Graduation Weekend

Everything was great but the construction going on on the street the hotel is on and specifically around the entrance to the hotel was frustrating. However, that's certainly not the hotel's fault. A good location but a tired, dated hotel

The staff was very friendly and my room ( and those in my business party) was comfortable. The "32" rooms i.e. 532, 432 etc....have a large sitting area so the overall room is spacious. The decor and amenities are dated and make the overall experience very mediocre. The food and wine list in the one and only ( very dull) restaurant were substandard. I like this hotel because it is in walking distance to many of Ottawa's tourist attraction. As well, the standard room that I stayed was very clean and spacious, although the decor of the room was a little outdated.

Overall positive experience, great price. Book the hotel through the secret price function on Expedia and was not disappointed. Room was spacious and comfortable. One challenge was that there is a lot of construction nearby and so you can hear it clearly in the morning and throughout the day. As well, loud noises outside at night could be heard.

I was attending a convention this week at the hotel and the service was very good. Food in both the restaurant and during the banquet was also excellent.
The room are very spacious. The décor a little dated but not very important if all you are looking for is clean accommodation. This was delivered.

the overall condition of the hotel is terrible. unclean and old. street work closed the street around the hotel so no taxis could get in. the price should have been adjusted for this.

I was very satisfied with all aspects of the hotel room itself and the service I received at the front desk. Check in was efficient and quick, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel location is great. We had a great suite that we booked on priceline--amazing deal! The kids loved the slide and pool. Very helpful staff, they were pleasant to talk to and deal with. The restaurant was very nice and had great food. We got a great price through Hotwire for our room. Downtown location near Parliament

Easy access to Government sites. Close to Sparks shopping area. Within walking distance of tourist activities. Hotel is starting to look its age. Could do with a modernization in the rooms/hallways.

“Hotel was clean and the room was functional but unattractive. Carpets and TV in room looked very old. The staff was good. For the right price I would stay here again but would likely choose a different hotel if I was booking a room directly.”

Nice Hotel, but first and last stay

The hotel is in an ideal sopt in downtown Ottawa, and really is within walking distance of everything you would want to see! However, the room was just a single queen, no bathrobes as described, no separate bedroom, internet costs $*/24hrs. I visit it was good, but this hotel Delta in Ottawa is a bad hotel. There is nothing in the room just a TV and bed and one chair and untidy bathroom and the bad service in.”

Great Staff

I stay at the Delta Ottawa yearly for business travel. The staff just could not get any nicer or more hospitable. Check-in (and out) is fast, the rooms are clean, quiet (although an ity-bit dated, which doesn't bother me at all) and the hotel restaurants are well equipped. Great price and location

I enjoyed my stay. The only thing that I would suggest is that the hotel staff offer more assistance to the guest upon check in, such as options of how to get around town, points of interest,reservations needed for transportation to and from the airport.The overall experience was very pleasant.

Massive Neglect

The rooms at this hotel remind me of poor 2-star properties:

- old, stained, wall paper peeling from walls throughout unit

- extremely dirty conditions throughout (light switch filthy, air vent blocked with dirt, throw-up or something similar on wall in bathroom, etc.)

- leakage stains directly above bed on ceiling (by the fire detector), which is a joy to look at just before going to sleep... more

“Nice facility Downtown Ottawa. Close to the Market district. 5 minutes cab ride or less to Winterlude activities, restaurants and Rideau Canal. Nice view of Parliament buildings from 18th floor lounge and bar.”

“I enjoyed the stay at the delta as it is user friendly and the beds extremely comfortable but ensure you ask for the queen size bed as the 3/4 beds are too small for two. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I would recommend the delta to anyone staying in downtown Ottawa.”

“The lobby and rooms are very nice, however if you want to avoid the $18 parking charge, your only option is to park in one of the adjacent outdoor lots or try and find street parking (good luck). The location is nice, and if not for the parking issue I would rate this hotel a 10!”

Extremely Rewarding

The staff and accommidations were 100%, The formal resturaunt was breath taking and the service and food were exceptional. Pool and whirl pool were spotless.

Top notched hotel with incredible service. Three restaurants to chose from, great location in the city. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone.
