We had lunch at the Leeky Canoo and enjoyed it! The burgers were great!! We also had vegetables which were really delicious!
We'll definately Come back! :-)
Great place to go for wings, other food good too. We have eaten here many times. Can get very busy and sometimes you have to wait a bit to get table but worth wait.
This is a local restaurant to me and one that I love to visit at least once a month. I have never eaten anything here that I did not like. Its a small quaint restaurant with great food, excellent service, fantastic staff, and decent pricing. The only negative thing I could say about it is because of its size there... more
The Pub is a great place to eat and very popular. The food was really good and the service excellent. The mudslide cocktail/dessert is delicious. Loads of things to chose from on the menu.
If we were staying in the area we would certainly go there again.
We are locals who visit the leeky canoe as a family. There is usually a lineup but never having to wait for more than 45 minutes. The food is excellent and there is a large selection of food. I can assure you that you will leave with your stomachs! The waiters are very friendly and do their best for service... more
Very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. The food was fantastic and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great place for families and friends, whether you are looking for a quick lunch or a place to hang out for some drinks and great eats, this is the place to go in Meaford.
We came here to get a quick lunch and left with full bellies. Sumac was our waitress and was on top of everything. She cracked a few jokes that got us laughing too. Great place! Wish we lived closer so we could visit more ofter. Food was different and delicious.
We enjoyed the fish and chips, veggie burger with a side caesar and a half order of nachos. The veggie burger was delicious, with both a veggie patty and a grilled portabello. The half order of nachos was more than enough for two of us to split as an app. We'll return!
We went for lunch. Food was very good. Leek soup was great with cheese and croutons on top (think French Onion with Leeks instead of onions). Wonderful Hot Apple Cider on a rainy cool day in July. Place was very clean and unique. Restrooms very clean. Service was good. Only bad thing was not a lot of options for gluten... more
Been here only once even though I live in Meaford. The food was good - a chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. The service was average not good not bad.
I had the chicken pot pie and it was great! The waitresses at the bar were friendly...that's where we sat until our table was ready. Towards the end of our meal I took a coughing fit and left...so I'm looking forward to the next time. Thanks for the memories. It's good to know you're there. Various people recommended your restaurant... more
We ate here on Sat. and loved it. My husband really enjoyed the fish and chips and I had the best sweet potato fries ever. The service was also excellent. I would definitely go back to this restaurant if I am in the area again.
As a local, I quite enjoy a meal out at the Leaky Canoe and enjoy its fun pub atmosphere however for reasons of his own, my husband has now refused to go there any more. The menu offers a huge selection of dishes. There is something for every palette.
My husband and I frequently share and an appetizer and a lunch. We are never disappointed with the quantity or quality of the food we get. The service is also always friendly and timely. A good choice for a casual, low key lunch.
As we were staying at the Hilltop Motel, which does not have a restaurant, we had to walk into Meaford and have dinner at The Leeky Canoe. Our meal was good, fresh and plentiful. The service was excellent and very small town friendly. A good choice on any day.
The Leeky Canoe Pub has good food and plenty of it. The staff are pleasant and friendly. The only down side I can see is the dim lighting. The restaurant is very dark and like a previous reviewer outlined it can sometimes be hard to see.
As a regular diner at Leaky Canoe, my wife and I enjoy the great food and service that this restaurant provides. Starting with its location in downtown Meaford across from the Meaford Hall (a local treasure for a variety of national musical acts and local theatre), the Leaky is a small pub style restaurant that serves a variety of meals... more
Good food and nice beer choices. Friendly service and pleasant decor. Worth a visit. Cheese roll appetiser and steak and ale pie were decent.
We took the advice of other reviewers on tripadvisor.ca and ate a late lunch here.
The booth we were seated at was at the back of the main part of the restaurant, with a cute fake fireplace on the wall behind us. The lighting could be a bit brighter in this booth, I had to pull my phone out to...

Fabulous pub fare, awesome wait staff, quick service. We are locals and love this establishment. Went on Thursday night for 2-4-1 burger deal. So for 2 glasses of wine, iced tea, burger and fries, and dessert.....Bill was $37! Great night out!
Nice service. The wings were great, nicely spiced and especially filling! Even leftover a day later they were good. A great place to go.
Great menu choices and value! I've been here several times and the food is well prepared and tasty. Sometime it takes a little while to come however.
We visited this favourite haunt, on our way home from the centurion bike race.... This is not our first time here, living an hour away, we love to visit aprés skiing.... Never a complaint about food, very tasty and the homemade soups to die for but tonight has ended a string of bad experiences! One night we came at peak... more
We had a good lunch in this out-of-the-way hole-in-the-wall hangout: hamburger with mounds of fries, fish and chips, chicken wrap all prepared with panache. This is the place to stop if you are in the area.
Went to the Leaky Canoe for dinner but was not enthused with the food. The place is old and would be a good hang out if you lived in the area but it would be better for you to drive to Thornbury where good places abound. I prefer Meaford to stay as it is a pretty place but better to... more
Stopped at the Leeky Canoe on the way back from the Bruce Peninsula. Right on the main street, across from city hall. Typical local pub atmosphere. Service was prompt. I had the mandori wrap - grilled chicken, smoked bacon, various cheeses, lettuce and tomato wrapped in a tortilla with a sauce. Choices of fries, salad, or soup. Salad had greens,... more
We went to this pub for lunch on a weekday. The staff is friendly and attentive. We prefer to sit in the front as it is usually quieter than the back of the pub. The menu has enough variety and the food is hot, good, and plentiful. A solid good choice for Meaford.
This spot was recommended by our hosts at the Irish Mountain B&B. Decided nothing fancy, so the menu suited our needs perfectly. Menu is your typical roadhouse type food. Ladies had burgers and the guys had chicken wings and it was all great food at a great price. Popular spot based on the packed restaurant and the service was good... more
We (family of 5 plus three other family members) ate at the Leeky Canoe Pub this spring following a day on the Bruce Trail. We were hungry and we were quite anxious to have something substantive and good for dinner. This was a fun spot, great food, friendly service and just the ticket for an after hike meal.
We have been having lunch on and off here for the past five years. This is the highlight of our cycling trips between Meaford and Collingwood. The food is hot and the beer is cold!!!!
We stumbled upon the Leeky Canoe after biking up from Craigleith Provincial Park, and were very pleasantly surprised. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly service and very tasty food. Lots to choose from on the menu. My husband said it was one of the best burgers he's had in years. And we were both thrilled to enjoy Innis & Gunn on tap. Just... more
This restaurant was great. The atmosphere was rustic and quaint. The food was good with nice sized portions. The menu had variety on it which was important to me as a vegetarian. There were several vegetarian dishes to choose from. There is something for everyone here. I recommend it.
Great place to invite Friends. Especially on Thursday. This is a great place to eat at any time.Take that Thornbury overrated Restaurants!
I love the Leeky Canoe. Family restaurant food at its best and great prices.
I recommend the wings, Mandori Grilled Chicken, Smothered Chicken and their flat bread pizzas.
They have a special every night.
An interesting little place, a bit of a college hang-out but nothing bad at all about that. The menu was interesting, food was good. Certainly worth a try if you're on a day trip along the shoreline.
We visited The Leeky Canoe on Tuesday June 11 and it was one of the best lunch experiences we've had. The menu selection is vast and that's great because there's something for everyone. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, they had such great flavor and not just your run-of-the-mill meals. Our Server was very knowledgeable and helpful with my allergy... more
Food is always good but can take a while to be tabled but is worth the wait.
Can get a little noisy at times, especially the back room.
They have good promotions in the winter with giveaways, we won a pizza, an entree & a couple of appetizers. They give you an envelope with your check & tell you to...

Nice atmosphere but the food could have been better. The burger I had was very greasy, I know some people like that but not to my taste.
We are locals and absolutely love eating at the Leeky! The service is great, the food portions are massive in comparison to the price and its 100% kid friendly. They always have something unique on the go on Fridays and the lunch specials are tasty.
... this is a restaurant you will enjoy. However, if you're after healthier fare, stay clear. There were no appealing vegetarian choices on the menu. As someone with dietary restrictions, the choices were very limited and even then, I had to delete two of the items in the wrap.
Wait staff was very pleasant and food was timely.
This was my first time to eat at the Leeky Canoe. We were warmly welcomed and given excellent service. The place is rather quaint and old fashioned but that only added to its charm. The food was delicious with good sized portions. I hope I can eat there again soon.
We recently visited the Leeky Canoe for lunch. It had been a number of years since our last visit. We are pleased to say that this pub continues to offer very good service and value for it's customers.
Our visit for lunch was on a day when the restaurant was not particularly busy. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted...

The menu is absolutely huge - good if you have a bunch of people who want different types of food for dinner I guess. For me I'd rather see a place do fewer things better.
The food was okay. The beer selection was pretty good. The service was slightly below average. That leaves me with a final score of average...

loved the squash soup. clean, nice atomosphere. haven't had a meal yet , that I haven't enjoyed. just great all the way around. People line up to get in here. that in itself tells you how good it is.
I've eaten at this restaurant quite a few times and have always enjoyed my meal. My fav is probably this Veggie California Roll dish? It's a rolled up wrap with cream cheese, olives, and I dont know what else. Just goodness though! I enjoy there greek salad as well. On one occasion I ordered a salad for take out and... more
Great Wings 2nd best place to eat in Meaford for lunch after Christine's Kitchen. The Leaky is probably your best dinner choice.
We frequent this place a lot.Awesome little diner, great food...nice people!!!
Great place to take the family.
I love the home town feel and the atmosphere is fun and close to the water front. Just a long main street it's the perfect place for pub food or just some down home cooking.
It was just ok. Atmosphere was non specific. Would rather had been outside, but unavailable. Food was basic. Not exciting and expensive.
Well -really there is nothing else to go to in Meaford-small town with a lot of older folk but this place is worth the trip. I have been to this restaurant a number of times and each time I like it even more. It does get crowded, it is not a huge place, but the wait is worthwhile. The food... more
I have been here lots of times and just want to say the food and service is always great! I would recommend this reastaurant to anyone passing through the meaford area!
This was the best restaurant ever!! Im from NY and we know restaurants and this was hands down one of the best restaurants that i have been too. The service was phenomenal. Very professional in a casual way. I LOVED IT!!! I have recommended all of my friends to go there when they visit that lovely town of Meaford. Try it, you wont be disappointed!
This restaraunt is not your typical small town hole in the wall. I was pleasantly suprised by the range of choices on the menu. Service was top notch ... and the food was tremendous!
Leeky Canoe Pub & Eatery The offers these services: restaurant.
