Kitchen Table is sometimes known as Failure Table for the fact that if you're shopping here, you didn't walk the 10 minutes to the local Loblaws or Longos with substantially fresher food and better prices. I am guilty of this.
Saying that though, if you're in a pinch and need something, they usually have it.
I haven't tried any of their prepared foods.
Stupid, stupid people. Inept. Moronic. I walk in to order a sandwich just moments ago. Two people behind the counter. Both look at me and say nothing. One women is busy with her salad bowls going back and forth looking at me the entire time saying nothing. The other women is busy organizing her pre-made sandwiches. So I stand there and finally ask if I can order a sandwich. Both look at me... more
If not for the convenient location there is no way I would ever shop here.
Tons of stuff at or near expiry, buying produce here is a mistake and everything is overpriced. The experience is only made worse by completely oblivious, incompetent and rude staff.
Shopper beware.
I stopped in around noon...and there was a line. I needed a quick beverage, and picked up a snapple. It's been a while since I've had one of those. They seemed to have a reasonable selection of stuff, kind of like a Rabba. It did the trick, but I don't know if I would do major grocery shopping there.
I'm writing this review based on the discount section of this shop.

The Kitchen Table is a grocery store with benefit of high convenience store prices. I wouldn't under any circumstances buy groceries here, but you need a handful of items and don't feel like walking to one of the four other grocery stores that are less than five minutes away, it will do. In the summer the line-ups can get really bad here since it's so close to the ferry docks.

Man this place is expensive but sometime one doesn't have a choice and ends up here (most people from the hotel across the street and people heading off to Toronto Island) Some items are prices reasonably but quick grab and go items can pretty expensive so watch what you buy but then again if you stumbled in here you didn't plan ahead and don't have much of a choice.
You're down by the waterfront. You're about to hit the Toronto Island ferry (yelp.ca/biz/toronto-isla…). You realize that you're totally hungry. How you didn't figure that out before you left the house, but there you are. That or you happen to work or live in the 'hood and you just realized that the French onion soup you were going to make for dinner might just need something that you don't... more
