This place is great. Everything is fresh and tastes great and the staff are friendly and helpful. I stopped in today for some mild sausage, which were fantastic. Pricey but worth it! Great cuts of meat and the tomato salad...my son keeps asking me to go back there just for that!

I buy fresh meat here and the service is always friendly. Its okay for the price and I been there several times however now looking for better options. The meat is not always consistently tasty, for me, if you are charging Cumbraes prices you need Cumbraes quality.

We keep coming back here because it's great, everyone loves it. The meat they grill is fresh, juicy and tasty and the price is just $10 (we call them the HST-free Butcher as a pun on their name).

I had the Korean steak buns there for lunch the other day. I had it in their patio. The weather was so nice and the meal was delicious. I almost didn't make it to back to my office. Life is good.

We don't live in the area but we go to the vet clinic across the street. Every time, we would pick up whatever they recommend that day and it never disappoints. We recently got some garlic herb marinated chops for the grill and they were amazing. This place really lives up to its name. I was in here a very months ago to buy steak for a special occasion. The woman behind the counter wad very helpful, she helped me select a great steak and even get it a nice Spice rub. It was the best steak I have ever cooked for myself.

Make sure not to miss the freezers at the back,lots of good stuff in there. Meat pies, soups etc.

They should be called the VERY friendly butcher! Went for the lunch sandwich's, incredible steak sandwhich and customer service. Fresh food and great tasting meat and produce, will be going back again very soon for more!

Fresh Meat, Fresh everything! Hand crafted to perfection, very good sandwiches, price is very decent an wish they serve all day. good for a quick eat and sleep moment.

The service at the friendly butcher is horrible to say the least. The food is mediocre but the rude service, especially from ken (the owner of the meat shop) trumps the decent meat. Lives up to the name! Always a friendly bunch behind the counter, and everything I buy from there is fresh, and top quality. I love going here for all my meat. It's hard to say what's done better here: the friendliness or the butchery, because both are excellent.

The Friendly Butcher is brilliant. In addition to the fantastic meats (and some fish!), the prepared food is excellent - the stews, the soups, all of it. Delicious every time. Love the place and the friendly butcher is friendly! Great place and yes, great sandwiches too! Worth the $$.

The Friendly Butcher has an excellent locally produced, never frozen meat selection. They also do made-to-order sandwiches, Get to know Ken and the family--you won't be disappointed!

Ken is the friendliest, most knowledgable butcher in Toronto. The prices are always fair and I come out of their feeling happy to be a carnivore.

As if I needed another reason to love Yelp, I discovered here that my local butcher shop also makes lunch sandwiches. Since I live with a man for whom the Art of the Sandwich is a religion we immediately ran out the door to check the place out.
