Very convenient

Location is excellent when travelling early the next day. We requested a king bed instead of two queen which the front desk could not provide but they were more interested in trying to sell us an exec room with additional perks than to check us in quickly when it was already late at night and all we wanted to do was get to the room to sleep.

Friendly staffs, excellent facilities

The hotel staffs always greet us during our stay. When we had problem with our room key, the room service lady nearby opened the room for us and gave us complimentary bottle water for the inconvenience.

Excellent location in YVR. Room very nice BUT terrible super soft mattress that did not enable a good sleep for the two of us. Bar chairs also most uncomfortable - actually driving people to go elsewhere. Restaurant was very good - also good wine list.

Very convenient and staff very helpful

Only glitch was coffee pot didn't work even though the maid assured me it did. For a coffee addict who had to make a 6 a.m. Plane, this was a disappointment. Concierge comped a minibar snack in exchange and that was nice, but I still missed my coffee!

No free internet

It's pretty galling to charge $300 a night and then insist on $12 for internet. Oh and get rid of the old high speed connection. Bush league and outdated for a high-end hotel.

Convenient location, great amenities

We had a very early morning departure home the following morning, so being in the airport was so nice. We opted for a Fairmont Gold upgrade at check-in, so our accommodations were super deluxe. I can imagine the regular rooms were pretty nice too. Excellent service.

Not the best location if traveling with kids. The cost of leaving YVR for downtown is much more expensive via sky train due to tariffs( $26 for two adults one child one way) so we purchased train tickets downtown.

Nice hotel within the airport

Coming in late, this was a perfect first night's stay in Vancouver. Price worth the convenience, though I don't think worth it if outside the hotel. Decent food in lounge as well as a nice breakfast (ordered off menu as the buffet price wasn't worth it for us.)

Beautiful room and very quiet which was appreciated after along flight. We only stayed one night as we were leaving early in the morning as this was a better option than going back into Vancouver for the night.

By far one of the best airport hotels. Only real problem is the floor in there pool/hot tub area is very slippery and isn't really safe. Nice Bar and restaurant however very over priced even for an airport.

Ultra convenient airport location

Great place to stay if you arrive late to this airport, very convenient. The staff and rooms are a very good standard, comfy beds and a good breakfast buffet. The hotel entrance is within the airport, so it's a hop, skip and a jump from plane to sleep!

Superb location for short stay / transit. out of the customs area, we made it to the hotel in 5min. the day after, we had an international flight to HK. we were able to early check-in, return to the hotel for a shower (with the requested late check-out), boarding heading for the immigrations area. so convenient.

Once you get to the escalator you escape the airport. The fairmont is not only a great hotel but also has a very nice restaurant & bar for a quick retreat. We stay at this hotel because it is at YVR and very convenient. Usually the service is excellent, and was on our last stay except for the restaurant, we had our 7 year old grandson with us and a 90 minute meal is unacceptable.

It is the only DIRECTLY attached property at YVR. As you are arriving to the check in there is an overwhelming fragrance in the air, not unpleasant but strong. The hotel is well run. Clean. Simply the best

I always stay here even when I am working downtown. It is quietly exciting and I love the rooms overlooking the runway. It is so convenient when flying in from another city to use this as a base. It has the advantage of a great restaurant and bar.

The fairmont lives up to its reputation and is a beautiful hotel. The only negative item I can say is that wifi is not free. In this day and age I expect it at every hotel especially those of the fairmonts status.

Despite being right at the airport the rooms are quiet and sound proof. Depending on what side of the hotel, you can get a room with the view of the runway and the mountains. Some rooms have air-jetted jacuzzi.

Last trip here I found myself needing to stay in richmond bc and this is the one that came up. Other then lack of good places to go for breakfast this was a hit. I like the sky train access to downtown and the location suited be. I may be back, however I am looking for a place that provides a great breakfast. The location of this hotel is IN the airport! Surprisingly it is NOT loud, from the planes like most airport hotels. Our room had a huge picture window overlooked the planes boarding (basically a wall of windows). It was a great view!

The best airport hotel and one of the top five hotels I stay at and I traveled very heavy during more than 40 years. Service is impeccable, the restaurant is outstanding, just walk downstairs and you check in to your flight. If you get an upgrade to gold level there is nothing more to ask for. After a week in a paper mill or other industry this is an oasis to come to for me.

Never in the world have I been to a more airport-convenient hotel. The Fairmont is not only near, adjacent, or whatever those other terms hotels use, but it's ON the airport property, literally an escalator-ride down from check-in. You don't get any more convenient!

It's Canadian-clean, nice accommodations, good service, and a will-do-again.

This hotel is so convenient and easily the best airport hotel I have stayed in, anywhere in the world.

Staff are accommodating, the rooms are spacious with views of the runway, and quiet.

I have found the bar staff at Globe quite surly and unfriendly, so now I just go downstairs to Vino Volo right at US arrivals when I want a snack and glass of wine.

Exceeded expectations. From the entrance, to reception, to the nicely appointed room, it was exceptional. I would recommend it to anyone travelling through Vancouver airport. The location in the airport makes it a good spot to stay when having a long layover.

The Fairmont Vancouver Airport was a huge success and I've already recommended it to all of my friends and colleagues. The staff were very helpful and the service was excellent. The room itself was simply top notch. The service in the bar/restaurant was also first class.

This hotel is right in the airport on the departures level. I have stayed here 5 times before. It is very convenient when you arrive late or you have an early departure. The Fairmont YVR is one of my favorite airport hotels. What sets this one apart from most others is the service (top notch), the feel (casual luxury) and that it is in the middle of the terminal (not 5 or 10 minutes walk like in some of the bigger airports).

It doesn't get much better than this place. I often will just walk-in and stay in one of their rooms after a long flight, even though I live in Vancouver! Get the rooms with the floor-to-ceiling windows and soaker jacuzzi tubs!

Recently I had a 6 AM flight from YVR. I spent the night before at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport and was very happy with that decision. The hotel is stunning, the rooms and bathrooms spacious and attractive and, best of all, I didn't have to get up at 3 to drive to the airport, park my car and catch a shuttle to the departure area. This hotel is a gem....I only wish I could have stayed longer!

average hotel for above average price. not up to standards at other Fairmonts I have stayed. Restaurant prices ridiculous!!

The hotel is located right at the far end of the airport and could not be more comfortable or convenient. It is surprisingly quiet and offers many amenities including a pool and fitness room that looks out over the interior of the airport. It is our top choice for a quick overnight stay in Vancouver and we will be staying there again shortly.

When these Canadians build an airport hotel, they don't mess around! This is a beautiful hotel right in the terminal. Yeah, you read that right. You get off the plane and enter a bustling terminal full of confused travelers and a short 5 minute walk later, you are entering another world. From the lobby you can look down and see the mad crush of people, but you can't hear a thing.
