Delicious Food, cool venue

I really liked this pub, looked like something you would see in Great Britain. Even though it was well loved the premises were clean and the food was great.

Quaint Irish Pub, great atmosphere

Gorgeous building, friendly service, unbeatable food, great prices, and certainly a treat for our anniversary. It's a walk-in off the street establishment but there is certainly lots of parking on nearby streets and parking lots and a nice stop after strolling the local waterfront and downtown shops. Treat yourself, visit The Dock!

quick lunch on the way to Halifax

Needed a quick lunch stop with the fellas and found this place in TripAdvisor. I had the club, the boys had the turkey sandwich, seafood chowder, chicken sandwich. Everyone agreed that the food was great. Nice little pub with excellent service and a great atmosphere.

Nice place to eat even if you don't drink beer

We had good mussels and seafood chowder. The Ceasar salad was also nice. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Awesome food, cool place

Amazing place

This is a true Irish Pub atmosphere! The servers, which has been there for so many years, are very, very nice. Great selection of beer. I fully recommend this place for eating as well, their clam chowder is excellent!

Great Neighbourhood Pub

The Dock is a friendly place to meet friends and enjoy good food. Staff remember your names(if you go frequently)and service is great. Chowder is very good and fish and chips with spicy fries can't be beat.

Hot chicken sandwich

This was my second time at this place. The food was awesome! The waitress was very nice and very helpful .Three of us had the hot chicken sandwich and we loved it. It was the best I had ever had!

Good pub atmosphere

Went here on a business trip. Lots of options on the menu. The food was great and their beer was good as well. Really enjoyed the Irish pub atmosphere. Definitely a good place to go out with friends.

Average Pub Fare

The food was acceptable but I really can't say it was above average or below average. The atmosphere was that of a typical pub with average service. Prices were average too!

Good Irish pub

Really enjoyed the service and the atmosphere in an old stone building built in 1845. Lots of choice of fish and regular pub fare. Wish there was a hotel on the 2nd floor so there would be a hotel with an actual restaurant in town.

Quaint, Fun Irish Pub

Great atmosphere! You feel like you're in Ireland or Scotland. My husband had the chowder and he loved it! We stopped at The Dock for a break between wedding ceremony pictures and the reception and I would have been more than happy to spend the whole evening there drinking and laughing!!

The Dock is located in probably the oldest building in town and has a nice homey atmosphere as you would expect in an Irish pub. A good beer selection and the food is just fine.( but they don't use lamb in their Irish Stew)

We ate upstairs on the deck despite the threat of rain. Good welcoming service, nice view, good food and draft beer. When it started to rain lightly, they offered to move us and others indoors. Happy relaxing atmosphere

Every year when we are in the area camping for a week we always have to make a point of eating here. The atmosphere is so nice and relaxing. Even though I'm a tourist I always feel at home. The food and staff are awesome and just make this the place to be.

The wild cream of mushroom soup is to die for! Covered with a pastry top (which means it takes a bit to come from the kitchen) it comes steaming hot and devine. Lovely New Glasgow pub

Went for lunch here with my parents - lovely place in an old stone building. Lovely atmosphere inside the place. Good selection of beer and ales on tap. Fast and friendly service - generous portions of fish and chips. My mother had bruschetta and she said it was also excellent. Very reasonable prices too. All around good experience.

Very noisy and crowded. Seemed like the only place to eat in town. The food was nothing special and it was a bit expensive. I think we paid about $17 for a clubhouse sandwich, It was an extra $3 or $4 to substitute ceasar salad for fries. Then they hardly gave you any salad. Would not recommend this place.

Nice atmosphere/decor, but don't get the portabello sandwich. It's microwaved, so along with being really soggy and messy, my fries were cold by the time it had cooled down enough to bite into.

The Dock is our destination for carb loarding before the Johnny Miles marathon and for post-race recovery...um...rehydration.
