As place to eat you would get a 2, as bar may a 3.5. I won't come back for the food but they have decent beer deals 5 buck for domestic and 5.5 for import pints

Over priced for what you get - liked the ambiance of the old location better. Staff are friendly. Been going to The Jester for years, but will not make an effort to go there again - only if in in the area and probably just for a beer.

Love this pub! Great food & friendly Danforth folks hang out here! Bonus they have a deli & smoke their own meats...ribs!!! Stopped by randomly today after a long weekend of camping. The GF and I shared the potato skins: they were good. She had chicken fingers which were good and I had the pork ribs, which were very tasty: I'll be back for the ribs again. They had Bolts and Hops on tap so that helped too. Any pub/bar in Ontario without at least a few Ontarian craft brews on tap instantly loses credibility in my books!

Thoroughly enjoyed the chipotle bbq wings, corned beef sandwich and potato salad! My friend ordered the brisket wrap with fries...said the wrap was delicious but the fries were wimpy. My boyfriend ordered the brisket dinner and wasn't the biggest fan of thr salty mushroom gravy on top.

Still unsure about the new location, lunch was amazing. The corned beef Ruben is amazing, love shoe string fries. Skip the standard pub fare like nachos and wings, they are known for their sandwiches and burgers. The tandoori lamb burger is also amazing.

Ah, unfortunately not a pleasant experience at the Court Jester this time. While I only visited the old location 1 time, they seem to have lost their niche - old place was a little run down and cozy and focused on decent drink selection with some pub food.

The Court Jester has moved locations. It is now a bit further east just past Pape. The new location and renos are great. They have a new beer selection including "Pompous A@s" which suits me well ;-)

The food used to be great, but in the last couple of years it has taken a serious turn. Food aside, however, the Jester has always been a great local watering hole with superb service and a good roster of beers. It's a little on the seedy side--but it's cynical, out-of-work journalist seedy; not tweaker seedy.

I only sampled two chicken wings here, so I can't really say too much about the food. As a local, this place is pretty good. I had three pints of Strongbow and my bill was only $22. I've been going to The Jester for years. It's a great pub with a surprisingly good menu at a very reasonable price. The daily specials are a sure bet and they do great standard pub fare if you're not feeling too adventurous.

My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and dinner. I ordered some French toast and it was delicious. The portions are very generous. I also ordered some coffee and I was offered many refills for free, which was awesome. The dinner was good too. Very pleased.

My boyfriend loves this place, but I'm not a fan. Fine for a pint of beer while you watch the game, but I do not recommend coming here to eat. Even the most basic meals are always a bit off and my stomach has hurt a few times after eating here.

That being said, servers are always fast, friendly and competent, so that's a plus.

Good Place for a Quick Beer and Some WIngs

Went there on a Wednesday night for some wings and beer and to watch the World Series. The place had a good atmosphere as lots of regulars seemed to be there. The table beside us was playing cards which was quaint. The decor is in the British Pub style which was well done.

The food is typical, decent, but without any outstanding items on the menu. the service was really friendly, and attentive.

The worst restaurant I have ever tried and the biggest rip off. We got what they call jerk chicken perogies. It was the biggest joke. 12 tiny perogies which comprised of nail-sized boiled ground chicken ball wrapped in dough. The chicken tasted like it was seasoned with just salt - gross. No trace of jerk. This friendly pub is a great place for wings or weekend brunch. Nothing fancy, friendly staff and hands on owner/chef that will accommodate any food needs along with a great 'burger of the day' special.

Very dark place. Food was good, dill sauce and cheddar balls were yummy!

Real neighborhood pub, patronized by locals rather than tourists. Good selection of English draught beer. The food is taken very seriously and is far better than your average bar food. Service is good, and sometimes great. Plenty of character but by no means is this a dive bar.

Our favourite pub on the Danforth

This is our favourite pub on the Danforth and we have been going here for years.
The food is far above that of an average pub especially if you order off the specials menu which is usually of excellent quality. The prime rib, in particular, is always excellent.
Not the cheapest place for a drink, though.

A good pub with above average food because they have a partner-chef. Small patio in summer. Close to Pape Subway.
This use to be my neighbour hood when I lived in the area. Having moved away, I recently re-visited and it was like old-home week.
Food & service still as good, Thank goodness somethings do not change.

At one time this was my local pub; and really, I couldn't think of a better place to claim as my own.

Have to admit, this was picked since the restaurant I wanted to go to was closed, and this looked ok.
Its been rated on another website as a "Fun Pub" - I guess we were there between the fun!
