Nice place
Nice staff
Simple menu: easy to read and understand.
Food:
What could I say I have tried the club with normal fries and sweet fries both were c@!p. The sandwich was ok nothing but bar food.
The group I was with the had the daily fish thing and they liked it with a salad and it was good. but you had to pay more for the salad.
I do go back for my card group. But I try to eat at home and have a drink or small things...
Fit For a King
Patrons of Torontos Greek Town wanting to wash down a classic pub meal with a pint of Guinness could try this pub, a warm establishment a few blocks west of Pape. The menu is pretty extensive, covering all the pub essentials and offering portions fit for a king. You can find munchies like sweet potato fries, wings and nachos as well as several salads like tuna salad with...

This friendly pub is a great place for wings or weekend brunch. Nothing fancy, friendly staff and hands on owner/chef that will accommodate any food needs along with a great 'burger of the day' special.
This is a pub located in my neighbourhood.
I do go in from time to time by myself and have always felt completely at home and relaxed. I have gone with others also.
It has been in existence for about 15 years but I only started going to it in the past couple of years.
The servers are friendly, the...

The Danforth is a barren wasteland when it comes to wifi. You have two options: Try the Carrot Common (Timothy's only sometimes works for me), or, if you like to drink and surf (and based on the growing number of bars in the city that offer wifi, you do), you can grab a seat at the Court Jester. It's busy enough to provide lightly distracting human theatre, but not so busy you're worried about... more
Real neighborhood pub, patronized by locals rather than tourists. Good selection of English draught beer. The food is taken very seriously and is far better than your average bar food. Service is good, and sometimes great. Plenty of character but by no means is this a dive bar.
I don't know if it was because the bar was filling up quite quickly or because it was a rainy day, but the waitress that helped me and my friend was extremely rude and barely even paid attention to us. At one point I suggested for us just to stand up and leave just to prove a point that she probably wouldn't even notice... At the end, after having two beers and one humus appetizer, the check... more
Excellent food and great baby-free atmosphere. I was very pleased to see Black Oak Pale Ale on tap.
Only one person taking orders on a Saturday night service was very fast.
I am not sure what it is about the Jester, that have a nice patio and a decent menu, just seems so dark and quiet in there. Again, good food, good patio.. just no atmosphere!
It was an okay spot. People coming in were regulars as they knew the bartender and servers. I wish we had a place like that in our 'hood. I'd stop in again if I was in the area. 3... more
My husband and I used to be regulars at The Jester on Danforth. Probably having dinner or drinks at least 3-4 times per month for the last 2 years. Well, no more. Last night we came in with our 9 week old baby and a friend for some drinks. (No stroller, baby was sound asleep) The waitress came over and informed us that they would "allow" us in the restaurant but if the baby started to "fuss" or... more
I've been to the Jester twice and I have been amazed by the service. There seemed to be only one waitress but our glasses were never empty and our food order was quick. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often.
This is our favourite pub on the Danforth and we have been going here for years.
The food is far above that of an average pub especially if you order off the specials menu which is usually of excellent quality. The prime rib, in particular, is always excellent.
Not the cheapest place for a drink, though.
Food and service was awful!! A dive..
The Court Jester is a pub with all the traditional fixings.
