Pets need dental care, too. Over 85% of all dogs and cats over 1 year old have some degree of periodontal disease, and this bacteria can spread through the bloodstream and seriously affect internal organs. Along with regular, professional care by a veterinarian, daily brushing & nutrition can help your pet maintain positive oral health.
During the month of February veterinarians...

The Animal Clinic has has been proudly serving our community for 32 years.
This is a wonderful vets office. We're living in Toronto temporarily from the States, and my kitty was really sick and we didn't have a vet. The overnight emergency vet was going to charge me a fortune and they still weren't really sure what was wrong. We waited til the morning and the Animal Clinic diagnosed him and he was better a few days later after the medicine kicked in. The man at the... more
I'm a first time pet/dog owner and the service and care that I and my puppy get here makes me feel like one of the family.
You'd expect that I have endless questions and concerns and The Animal Clinic is never too busy to answer them. They've been wonderful with my little guy and he loves going back there. They're careful and will always err on the side of caution-wouldn't any professional?...

Very rude staff. I took my pup here and they were obnoxious, rude, self righteous. Avoid Alda at all costs, I went to complain and she was a very disrespectful woman, oh and they OVERCHARGE, and tried to charge me once more for NO DIAGNOSIS when they told me they wouldnt charge me! Save yourself the trip and go elsewhere.
Okay, update--the post-surgery followup was over-the-top amazing. They called the next day to check how the incision was healing and when I mentioned the cat hadn't been eating, they booked me in for a complimentary visit the next night so they could check on her, in addition to the regularly scheduled followup appointment a week later. They really care about the animals they see.
WORST WORST WORST EVER!
These people will ALWAYS tell you that they are fully booked even if you have a serious problem. They love to tell you that they can accomodate you for emergncies but that's not true. It has happened to me twice. The first time, my dog had a lung infection (and almost died). The doctor told me himself he was 'too busy' to see my dog and would see her in a week. Had I...

This office is clean and tidy. The receptionists seem relatively on the ball and are generally in a good mood. My sore spot with this vet lies squarely with the pricing structure. $500+ to spay my dog? Are you serious? Seems a little outrageous considering I can have the surgery completed for less than half of that amount elsewhere. I'm aware that they use "cutting edge technology", lasers or... more
This clinic has interesting ways of making money. In a routine geriatric test, they determined that there could be something wrong with my pet's health. I assumed that there possibly was going to be some health issue since the cat was geriatric however, he didn't exibit any symptoms. I was reluctant to bring him in for what would be a barage of tests because if they didn't find something with... more
My 13-year-old dog and I visited Dr. John Reeve-Newson at this clinic today. All I can do is rave about him. He was very knowledgeable and genuinely kind. Right away he shook my hand and told me he prefers all of his clients to call him "John". He immediately won my dog over (this has never happened at the vet in his more than 13 years!) by only giving him affection and treats for the first... more
I used to take my dog to the Queen West Animal Hospital, but when I moved to the Church and Wellesley neighbourhood, I decided to look for a vet closer to home. I did some research and found The Animal Clinic. I sent them an email looking for information, and the vet clinic manager immediately responded to me, and invited me in for a tour/consultation. At the end of August I decided to bring my... more
I go to this place because I have a French Bulldog who can have unique health issues and sometimes can't follow the same run of the mill remedies. I have heard of horror stories where these dogs were mis-diagnosed and created even more problems. This place is run by Dr. John Reeve-Newson, who (wink wink), used to breed french bulldogs.
I have been going there since he was a pup and will keep...

This is a high-end clinic with good facilities including the ability to do laser surgery. They do tend to recommend more than bare-bones care, including full blood work before procedures such as spaying. This is reflected in their prices, which are definitely on the high side.
All the vets and staff I've dealt with have been very nice, and the care my cats have gotten has been excellent. The...
