For years the only places one could go to "rent" and shoot a handgun was Las Vegas or the West Edmonton Mall. No more. This place is the place for anyone who wishes to experience and understand what handgun shooting is all about. The open houses are great, I've taken my nephew with me on a couple of them already. Great fun!
After getting my PAL at Target almost 2 years ago with a few friends we have joined the club and have taking up shooting as a hobby. Great people, excellent club. If you haven't tried it yet come by for a visit during one of their many open houses. Or set up an appointment for an orientation. All I can say is I have no idea why I didn't do this sooner. See you all soon, and happy shooting :-)
A co-worker organized a visit to your facility for a small group recently.
I was impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of everybody we encountered.
Almost all of us were new to firearms and brought various degrees of apprehension.
The manner in which everybody treated the experience left us feeling safe, with respect for the firearms we handled and having an enjoyable time.
The experience has all of us wanting to come again if not take up the sport more seriously.
Well done.

Lacking customer service. I heard side comments on every question I asked. I don't see myself buying anymore items from this store. Learn customer service people you're not the only gun store in town.
I actually felt pretty nervous and intimidated going into a gun range, but Target Sports Canada made my first time shooting super comfortable and I had an awesome adrenaline-filled experience there
I was surprised to see so many people on a Sunday afternoon - didn't know gun ranges were this popular! Luckily, since I came with a large group, we were able to book a time slot, allowing us to...

Besides learning that I would not survive a day in the military since I actually needed two fingers to pull the trigger, I had pleasant first time at Target Sports.
Well, as pleasant as shooting shotguns at zombies could be
$100 for:
20 rounds of 9MM
20 rounds of .40S&W
10 rounds of .45ACP
5 shells of 12 gauge 00 buckshot
And a very thorough safety instructions lesson at the beginning of...

Had a great first experience here, and felt like a total badass shooting some guns. I came with a group of 14 people for a friend's birthday. We had reservations, so there was no problem getting waivers signed and ID checked and equipment ready to go. Despite looking a little intimidating at first, all the staff members ended up being very nice, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Of... more
Great experience! The staff is funny and not intimidating in the least bit. I had never touched a gun before coming here and they made me feel very safe and at ease from the moment I came in, to the moment I walked out the doors. I felt a judgement-free atmosphere here. I can't emphasize enough how friendly the guys were.
I had so much fun and plan on coming back many times. I only wish Target...

Brought my friend here for her birthday, and we came on a Tuesday night thinking it wasn't going to be busy at 6pm - it was. Had to wait 1.5hr. That was the only bad part.
Once we got in, it was so fun! Edgar, who was our instructor was amazing! He was super friendly and funny, yet also professional and safe.
If you go there, request him.
Today I took some friends visiting from Australia . We walked in and this is how it went.
Gun Guy - Can I help you folks?
Me - we're here to try out the range
Gun Guy - yeah, you guys picked the wrong time to come up. The range is closed for maintenance until Sat.
Me - really? I was just on your website and there was no mention of it being closed.
Gun Guy - umm, we only posted in on our...

I've been to this location twice and I have absolutely nothing bad to say. They are safe, informative and fun. It something I think everyone should try. I came here for my birthday with my mom and brought my best friend here for Christmas.
It's a fairly simple process. You come in and sign a waiver and show government id. They give you a brief lesson in a mini class room. You pick out the guns...

The range is clean and well maintained; However, you pay a hefty price for an annual membership. The business model seems to focus more around the non-licensed "drop-in-and-shoot" patrons than licensed and experienced shooting patrons. For the non-club member, Target Sports will do just fine. For the experienced shooter, Target Sports appears to attract the weekend-warrior shooter who you may... more
First they tell you on the phone that they don't take reservations for groups, but to come in as it shouldn't be too busy.
Then you arrive in the middle of nowhere only to be told there is a 3 1/2 hour wait AFTER we filled out all the paperwork. When we complained we were asked why we didn't book ahead!
Apparently they take reservations when they feel like it.
Terrible and unsympathetic...

My boyfriend and I were given gift certificates to this place for Christmas a couple of years ago, but just couldn't find the time to go. This weekend we finally made it out and it was... ok.
I'm not a fan of things than make loud surprising noises. But I've always wanted to try shooting a gun. Our range officer was really nice and assured me that I would "love it". We tried 4 different guns...

I've heard of this place quite a bit but never got around to checking it out until my friend asked me to be apart of his group. There were twelve of us, so had the deal where we all get 20 rounds of 9mm, 10 rounds of 40 cal., 6 rounds of .38 special, 8 rounds of .45 and 3 shells of the 12 gauge.
As we walked in just before noon, we were immediately greeted and directed to signing waivers, then...

When we have done group events here, we always had a great time. The gun marshals were great. Unfortunately, we have arrived to discover that the marshalls weren't informed of our reservation, and we have had other times where the admin (Liz) is really not friendly at all is super severe with numbers where they will immediately book the day... more
I've been here 3 times and have loved it every time. To be honest your experience will totally depend on the mood of the range officer who's working when you're there. I've been lucky and have always gotten someone nice and cheerful, but i can understand having a bad time if they're in a c@!%!y mood. That said i still plan on continuing to come here and will definitely be bringing new people.

I was here for an event supporting the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association and the staff were great, friendly and helpful! The range is well run and they have a good selection to choose from.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, exactly on the date. I called beforehand to book but they take reservations THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE. So I didn't make it... but they suggested going early before opening.
The day comes, we were there 15min before opening. We were allowed in 5min to. There was another group. That group and us, we were the first FOUR people.
The next groups who came...

BANG!
I have been pining to hit this range for a long time. It's a bit of a trek to get to, but its definitely worth it. Making an appointment is definitely recommended so that you don't have to wait in line for too long.
They have a lot of space dedicated to their products, so their actual inventory of guns for the range is small if you are not looking to buy.
This is a great place to get...

I am one step closer to becoming the next Bond girl - not. Considering I only barely got bullseye once in 50 rounds, lol. However, I do have a left bias, so just dodge to your right (my left). I mean, I would never harm a fly!
William T. brought me here for Part I of my birthday adventure. Considering it was a weekday during work hours, this place had no shortage of customers. Thanks to...

Tough place to review fairly - there is some really good here mixed with some genuinely mediocre.
Let's start with the nice, shall we? It's a well-maintained range with a decent number of lanes, ample parking, and fair prices in the Toronto area, where you options are otherwise profoundly limited. The staff are all friendly and they take advance reservations for groups. As I walk in the door,...
