We stumbled across this place and went in for breakfast. Obviously the whole town knows about this gem. The place was packed the whole time we were there. Real food for a awesome price... We will be back

Better then Great service!! Always get a burger for takeout and they make it perfect every time, best home made onion rings I've ever had a must try! Also a unbelievable breakfast super cheap and really good!!

Bad service, good food

My title are the words from the owners own mouth and they couldn't be more true. Been coming here for years and the service decline makes the good food not worth it. Went to the Wellington Pub for breakfast instead, awesome service, good prices, and no frustration.

mega-breakfasts

Went in the morning for breaky with family members. We all had something different. I ordered the omelet. It was huge !!! Found out later that this was a 3-egg omelet. You can order a 2-egg one, not on menu... Couldn't eat the whole thing, but it was very good.

Worst eggs benny ever

Reading the reviews of this place makes me think I ate somewhere else. No, I ate at Tanias. The eggs benny was awful. The sauce was curdled and like runny milk. The eggs were hard as rocks and the home fries were like a pile of mashed potatoes with little crispiness to them at all.

Biggest servings & best prices

The "big breakfast" is a hit and probably cost them more to make than they charge! Lunch time try the burgers! The BEST! The staff are friendly and take care of you very well.

A Great Find

This is a breakfast and lunch place, you have to visit. Locals go here and we understand why. Prices are very reasonable, the portions are large, the service great and the food is excellent. There isn't much else to say. This is now our lunch place when we are in Nanaimo.

A classic

Good service and a smile. We go often. Great spot for lunch or quick dinner. Always something good on the menu. Can get busy but its full of friendly regulars and worth the trip.

We were just passing through Nanaimo early one morning, and asked a local where was a good place to get some breakfast. He recommended Tania's.
It was easy to find, and the service was very good. The food was even better, and the price was very fair.

Best breakfast spot in Nanaimo

Tania's does not stint on food and has very reasonable prices. The breakfasts are tasty, standard breakfast fare and unlike some other reviewers; I find the service staff quite friendly. I've been there several times and will keep going back when I want breakfast out.

Used to be great but sadly no longer

My parents used to go to this place three times a month for Sunday breakfast and raved about the food and service. But we went there today and sadly it has gone downhill. If you want a cheap breakfast, this is the place to go. However, You do get what you pay for. The servers are friendly but too laid back and a bit slack. Very busy place, line ups for sunday mornings.

Great Breakfast

If you want a great breakfast, this is the place. Full of locals, its a typical small town atmosphere with most people knowing each other.
The food is very standard breakfast fare, served with bottomless coffee. Service is friendly and prompt. I go every Saturday morning if in town.

It is what it is - and it is perfectly what it is. It is a diner with low prices, big servings, and breakfast diner food: eggs, pancakes, bacon. It's great! It doesn't pretend to be other than it is and it is always hopping for that reason. I absolutely recommend it for a fun, cheap breakfast.
