A "broad menu" of "delicious" "authentic" Middle Eastern plates, including "healthy options", is "served with a smile" at this "well-priced" Midtowner; the "small" place is "slightly shabby", but that doesn't deter devotees who deem it a "family favourite."
This was an amazing find and surprise, as I was meeting a friend for lunch in an area I didn't know. We wandered in for lunch, and found a table but only because there are many. Gluten-free bread greeted us on the menu, along with the usual fare you might expect. Yet the tabule/tabouleh can be made with quinoa if... more
One of our favourite restaurants in Toronto!
never had a bad meal, always fantastic in every way.
I had an excellent dinner (both food and ambiance) on the street side patio of Tabule the other day. The staff was very courteous and the food was excellent.
What a fabulous place to experience Middle Eastern flavours for the first time! With next to no knowledge of what to order, we relied on the expertise of our waitress to explain the dishes and make recommendations. Every dish, from the sample platter of appetizers to the main course, was excellent! So fresh and tasty. The falafels were light but... more
This has got to be the best Middle Easter Retaurant in Toronto.
The food is fabulous, the service is impeccable and the ambiance is magical. My friends and I simply love this place for dinner or for special occasions.
Tabule has good grilled food, falafel and babaganoush. Service is good. I wouldn't recommend the desserts, quite disappointing especially the konafa and frozen yogurt. It is usually crowded and can be too noisy sometimes
Labaneh and falafels were particularly tasty, and the Beirut Sangria cocktail was a nice way to start. Reasonably priced. Would recommend.
I miss living and working so close to this place. I've been several times and the food is authentic, reasonably priced in think and consistently tasty. I usually get the falafel in a pita with fries, sometimes the kefta. I've also been during summerlicious, it's slower but again great food. I will go back best time I'm in the area.
The food here is reliable and delicious ( baked tomatoes and sea bass are special favourites). The service is efficient and friendly.
The restaurant is a lively and noisy neighbourhood place. Lots of families and activity in the early dinner hours. Good value. Enjoyable.
We recently moved to the neighbourhood and have been checking out the local well-rated restaurants. We've been here a week and have eaten at Tabule twice, for takeout. Dinner and lunch. Wow! We loved each meal for its freshness and wonderful flavours! Can't say enough about the food. Some people complain about the service, but we have no complaints. Even... more
Always good. We know we can always depend on Tabule to deliver tastey food, with friendly effecient service at a reasonable price
I've been to this restaurant many times, and always enjoyed it. My friend was coming for the first time. We were offered a seat inside or on the patio; we chose outside because it was a lovely evening. Our waiter was pleasant but ignored us for much of the meal. My friend needed time with the menu, he came back once, and then disappeared. We had to ask the staff to find him. That was a theme... more
<3 Always order the lentil soup! You will never be sad ever again, it is so smooth and delicious... We are not real foodies, but my boyfriend and I enjoyed the salad very much even though we don't like salad usually. And the water jugs are fascinating. *w* Definitely adds to the experience. The only problem we had was that we had to move outside because something in the air inside the restaurant... more
This place has the best cocktails I have ever had I tried 4 different ones and all very tasty and unique. The bartender was really friendly and the food is very good. A must try in Toronto! We didn't had a reservation but they found us a place at the bar.
I was happy to find Tabule as I missed Lebanese food. The food was great. We ordered Kufta banaduri and beef kabab. I took one star down because the fatush salad was good but not great. It only had 3 ingredients instead of 10. The dressing was good, but the bread was not fried - I guess more healthy!
I would definitely go back again.
Suggested Tabule to co-workers for Summerlicious, not knowing anything about the restaurant except it served Mediterranean food & where it was located. Loved it! From the price, to the food, to the serving sizes, to the water pitcher and how it was poured, to the Turkish coffee...so relieved my co-workers loved it, too! I will definitely go back, but w/my husband this time.
Was here for Summerlicious. Excellent food and service. The Kefta Banadura was amazing. Good mojitos too!
Fresh veggies, delicious dressing, my favorite item on the menu.
Chicken breast was on the dry side, but still good.
Went during Summerlicious; very good menu; didn't skimp on quantity. High quality food very tasty, had a great martini with orange blossom fantastic. Will go back for sure.
Great belly dance performance and even more amazing water pouring technique. Great experience.
Tabule on Yonge is one of our favourite and the best falafel in Toronto! We usually come with friends and we were never disappointed. Summerlicious or regular menu: always great food and good service.
Hope they will continue this way!
The summerlicious menu is not cheated. So many options and big portions! Must try knaffa Ashta!
The food is wonderful and the wait staff friendly and attentive. I would and do highly recommend it to friends.
Tabule has great food, in good portions and in perfect location, easily accessible by TTC. They wear their name well: absolute best table I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Thanks for a great lunch date :-)
We went here for Summerlicious. Our reservation was for 12 noon. We arrived before 12 and were asked to leave and come back when the restaurant was open, since they were cleaning, which I thought was not very friendly of their staff. The food was good, portion sizes were quite large but the staff were not on top of special requests. I had booked this through open table and have informed them... more
Went to Tabule for the first time with 2 friends. We each ordered different items from the Summerlicious menu. From the falafels, to the dips, to the kebobs and dessert...nothing went wrong. The falafels were probably one of the best I've ever had. They were super crispy and had great flavour to them. The chicken kebobs were moist and the grilled veggies and rice were well seasoned. Our waitors... more
As a lebanese woman in Canada, I rarely find truly GOOD Lebanese food, and Tabule restaurant serves just that. Good food. The experience was better than the food itself, in my opinion. I liked being surrounded by classier arabs and the items on the menu definitely brought back some feelings from across the ocean. The food itself was ok, nothing really WOW, but decent. For the price, I wouldn't... more
Food is always consistently good and the service wonderful!!
The place is all about atmosphere, so it was disappointing to be the one facing a wall in the corner. I could hear a room full of patrons behind me having a great time, but I had to turn uncomfortably to see and experience what was going on. It's a great place, but I think they could reorganize some of the tables a bit to make it more engaging for everyone.
the food was fine, although portions were small. The service was not the best and the waiter did not seem to want to be there at all.
Will forever return to Taboule - it's outstanding and not expensive.
Showed up for reservation and got a table on the patio which was empty despite it being a lovely night. We ordered drinks and appetizers advising waiter we would order mains after we had more time to look at the menu. After delivering our drinks and the appetizers, the waiter failed to show up to get our follow-up order. After waiting for 45 minutes with nothing to left to drink, I went inside... more
Tabule continues to be a great place to go with friends for dinner. The food is very good with lots of choices to share. We always start with the sharing platter. The service is very friendly and for a busy spot, we never feel rushed. We keep going back because it is very dependable
The food at Tabule is always great. Their chicken is so completely delicious. We sat on the patio this time though and were a bit neglected by the servers. They took really long to take our order, forgot our beers and long with the cheque.
Not sure why Open Table booking would seat us at the kitchen door, knowing this review would follow. Not served for 10 minutes. Food was good and moved tables during the course of the meal. Will never return nor recommend.
Never had a bad experience with the food here. I find the drinks to be a tad expensive but the food is incredible so it's totally worth it. Best falafel I've ever had!!
I stumbled upon this restaurant during Gluten Freedom Week (the prix fixe menu). My SO ordered the combination plate, kefta banadura, and pistachio gelato, and I ordered the falafel salad, salmon kebab, and orange blossom gelato and we received a basket of gluten-free laffa flat bread. All of it was so tasty, and by far, best falafel I ever had! I could live my days being fat and happy with the... more
we have enjoyed this restaurant for many, many years. even after all these years, we find they
have had little to their already near perfect restaurant as a go to place for nearly any occassion
calling for good food.
Having.never had middle eastern food I was a.bit worried about what to eat. I needn't have been as it was all great. We had mixed starters and then I had lamb. Perfectly cooked. No room for dessert but.little.space.fir Lebanese coffee. It was delicious
I love the atmosphere of Taboule. The music makes me relax immediately. I am gluten-free and dairy-free and appreciate a restaurant that has seriously considered people with allergies when choosing their menu. The wait-staff are friendly, patient and really intent on making your meal one to remember. The babaganuj is divine, and being able to eat it with gluten-free laffa is a dream come true.... more
High energy, warm ambiance, great food, entertainment and service.
Tabule has fabulous food that is great for sharing. I went with some girl friends and we all shared a bunch of different plates. Their appetizers are the best. The dips, the falafel, the pita... all good. The Labni and Babaganoush are my favorite. In the summer their is a good sized patio but it fills up rather quickly.
Tabule has great food, delicious mezes, also very kind and friendly staff. It's a good choice for dinner, especially at the weekend. Don't forget to try house arak and enjoy belly dance show on Saturday night.
A table of 8 of us met here for dinner on a Thursday night. Our waiter was average. The food was average. My dinner arrived 10 minutes after everyone else's did. When the bills came, there were several mistakes and he let us sort it out.
Won't go back.
I used to live near this neighbourhood...and there never were restaurants like this back than. A shame! Tapas style Lebanese. Ventured well past the falafel balls....to some plates that took this experience up to the gourmet level. i was very impressed and have been back three times.
delicious and fresh - nice wine list as well. we enjoyed a fun family dinner here introducing the kids to some new flavours
Excellent food, its been one of my favourites in Toronto for a while and it never disappoints.

Food was wonderful - especially the lentil soup & the best fried cauliflower I've ever had. Aside from the food, the other reasons to visit are the shows - belly-dancing & how they pour your water.
Consistantly good tasty food. Professional friendly staff. Always a poitive experience and goo2 valu for the money.
The food was fresh, tasty, and service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to friends. Love middle eastern food and the flavours.
Excellent middle eastern food
Lots of food for the prices served by good staff
Excellent price for the quality if the entrees
Service was prompt courteous and friendly
Good for the entire family
The food is great - authentic and savory middle eastern delicacies ranging from the basic that might expect in all similar locations to the more exotic. In general, the more basic the choice, the better the food. The hummus and other like items were great starters. Likewise the chicken and fish mains were also done very well. Other dishes were... more
Tabule is all about take out. I've ordered from them at least 5 times with consistently delicious food. Last night I took a guest there for dinner that last 3 hours (because the food simply didn't come out), missed 2 items I ordered, and a server who dropped things twice.
I ended up with a $130 bill after having to...

Great authentic middle eastern dishes, the humus is indeed "excellent". We had a variety of the items on the menu and none of the 4 was disappointed. We were a group of 12 we ordered for take out office dinner.
Our order included appetizers Kebbeh , Hummus ,Baba Ghanoug, labneh , hallum, and main course like Chicken skewers, Lamb and Beef as well as Falafel and Mjaddarah.
The Food was ready in 30 minutes and the cutlery they provided and plating was excellent.
Every thing was delicious....

A group of friends and I visited here during Toronto's 'Winterlicious'.
For $25/pp we all had delicious meals. I started with their mezza platter - hummus, falafel, tabuleh, babaganoush and pitas - excellent. My main was their chicken and vegetables on a bed of rice. Really lovely flavour, even better with a side of garlic sauce. Dessert was baklava which...

We are yanks from the lower 48, and were in Toronto for a day. Found this restaurant on Yelp.com. We were looking for a quick lunch before heading back to Buffalo. Had dinner at their Eglinton@Davisville location.
I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very lively, but not loud, lending to an ambiance that is welcoming.
Service was attentive, but not at all rushed. I lingered over our meal for over two hours. Started with the appetizer "share" platter, with babaganoush, and hummus. Absolutely the best babaganoush I've tried--ever. Flavourful, not...

A friend introduced me to this place, which he said he had found to be a very satisfactory place for lunch or dinner. Three of us went here for lunch. Pretty good food and great service. I loved the appetizer platter however the selection wasnt huge. The portions were so big most meals could be shared. I would go back.
Havent been back here for a while but the food is still very good, The kefka bandura was excellent as was the red snapper. Even the baklava was good. The belly dancer (only on Saturdays) was very entertaining and talented. The staff was friendly though a little over-worked and likely could have used a couple more to speed things up.
This second location looks great. The decor is middle eastern done in a hip urban style. Well laid out, large windows open up for open air dining in nice weather. Very pretty bathrooms. Middle Eastern music kept at a comfortable decibel level in the background. Chairs not very comfortable.
Had a light lunch of just the falafel salad, grilled pita...

Good food and atmosphere, but a bit slow in service. Otherwise everything was good.
Food was awful. I've had middle eastern food before. This was the worst. The falafel was oily. The rice and chicken were dry and over spiced. The salad tasted of parsley only, it was over powering. Learn to cook.
we went to this restaurant as a family, and the food is great. when we arrived the restaurant mostly empty (mostly because we always prefer to eat off time, at around 3pm). i ordered Kefta, it was to die for. and the lebenese rice and hummus are one of the best i have ever had. however, the tawuk chicken was... more

Was invited for lunch. Food is mostly good. Recommend dishes are the fried kibbe, the kafta, the hummus, fried cauliflower, tabule, and fried eggplant. Service needs improvement as the wait staff needed to be reminded of several orders. Probably one of the better Lebanese restaurants in Toronto, though
Sometimes restaurants that have had a good reputation for a long time start to get complacent, ( or lose chefs?)and I'm afraid this has happened to Tabule. I went back there this week.
