Excellent value & Fresh cuisine

Over priced
March 10, 2013This is my first time ordering from this restaurant. I did take out... $25.99 for a tiny mango salad (that could only feed one) and pad thai. Pad thai was good but a little over-flavoured. Best I've had in Durham though... still doesn't come close to Suko Thai in Mississauga!!! I think I'll save my money for sushi instead.

Amazing Thai
December 18, 2012I had take out from this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. I called and asked for house specialties and was not disappointed. Great fresh and tasty
November 20, 2012We go to Sweet Basil Thailand for takeout often. Best Thai in Durham hands down. The Atmosphere at the restaurant needs a little help. More people dining there would make the difference. Very clean and neat but a little too subdued. Highly recommend it but make sure you have 4 in your group to liven the place up.

Great food... Something odd about atmosphere
August 31, 2012The food here is great! Good quality ingredients, good portions, great flavours, and well presented. From a food perspective, you can't go wrong. But... There's something odd about the servers and the atmosphere. It's always DEAD in the restaurant and so very quiet, it can be unnerving. Also, the servers seem so timid and quiet. June 23, 2011My husband and I had dinner at Sweet Basil and I had the best pad thai ever! The food was very fresh and appetizing. Only thing I would change is add more vegetables to the vegetarian version. The vegetable spring rolls were great as well. All nicely presented. Easily the best and Most Authentic Thai EVER
