A good spot to go with kids

I find it funny seeing people complain about this hotel. The price is very decent, you get a free breakfast (remember to bring your fruit), you have a nice clean pool with a really fun waterslide that the kids loved, the rooms were all very clean and you're close to all attractions. The only downside is that you have to drive to restaurants, but it's not a huge deal. Again, really great place... more

Decent hotel for a low price!

The hotel is quite old, looks old on the inside and has that "old hotel smell". Other than that, my room was clean (except for a bit of grime in the shower tiles) and was actually pretty spacious in the bedroom part (the bathroom was a little small. All in all, it was close enough to Downsview Park and great to stay in for one night for Riot Fest!

Great value for price

Hotel was clean, beds were comfy, pillows were a bit lumpy. The lady at the front desk was a little miserable, which isn't really something you expect at a hotel, but for the price I really didn't care much. This hotel had all we needed

Very pleased. I had my 6 year old granddaughter with me so the pool and ho ttub were great. I actually went on the water slide too. i was supposed to come back this Sunday for a week and was looking forward to it but my course was cancelled and i had to cancel the reservation. Wouldn't stay again

Pool was dirty, after booking a king size suite we were put in a double queen room.After being moved to our booked room it was missing a tv. The room next door was full of teens constantly going in and out at all hours of the day. Will not stay here again.

Close to the City Playhouse Theatre

We needed a place to stay for one night.....booked it online.....and were pleased. It was close to the venue we were attending and the price was right. Beds were clean and comfortable, service was excellent.

not bad but prefer not to return

My room had a dirty carpet which had numerous stains and crumbs. I also had reserved a room with two queens and upon arrival, was given a room with a king and pull-out couch, which ended up being fine but not what I expected. I had enough pillows though and washroom was very clean. I liked that we had a microwave and fridge. No conditioner in the hotel.

Super 8 Toronto North

Room was ready when we arrived, I accidentally booked a smoking room and what a mistake,all of the clothes we wore and our luggage smelled like smokes and the sheets also smelled like it was not change because it does not smell fresh at all.

The manager is nice and accommodating. Room was perfectly fine for the price.

Had a great stay!

Fantastic central location! Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable. The water slide was a big hit with the kids and the wonderful breakfast was a great way to finish off our stay! Would definitely return!

Close to shopping.

It was quiet. Did the job for a night's sleep. Staff were friendly but by no means enthusiastic. The pool area was clean but the pool it's self did not look very clean. In our room, I had to wipe down our bathroom vanity as it was quite dusty.

Overnight stay for shopping trip

The hotel was easy to find, close to nice restaurants within walking distance. Staff were polite. The room is self was spacious, but it was not very clean. We lifted the bedskirt and found all kinds of dirt and pieces of garbage under it (like used toothpicks, lint, wrappers). In the bathroom their were still hairs on the floor along the tub. Building, property, rooms are not clean, staff were not friendly. This franchise is not par with most Super8's/Ramada's I have stayed at.

Nice place to stay

We had a wonderful stay at this motel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the breakfast was great. The only disappointment was that the slide was closed because it wasn't a weekend.

Dated facility

this hotel could use some upgrades...TV's were old 25" .. washroom had stray hairs lying around.. bed was so so for comfort. The pool was a sick green colour..I didn't go in.

Fit for purpose

Had to attend appointments at Princess Margaret Hospital - Toronto As we live some distance away and the appointments were spread throughout the day - easier to stay locally and return to the hospital as required. Price was therefore a factor for us.

Pleasant Surprise

This hotel well exceeded my expectations. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The location was ideal for my visit, and the room was well appointed and clean. I was traveling with my 11 year old for his birthday and this room was something he remarked on that he'd always remember about our trip. Thank you!

Had a lovely stay at the Super 8. Room was spacious. The bed was a bit hard but we enjoyed the separate space with couch and tv. Wifi was great. Nice hotel close to Wonderland

We checked in around 11pm and there were no issues about our online reservations. The room was spotless. Beds were so comfortable. Would definitely go back!

It met our expectations

We were looking for queen beds so we could sleep 4, a pool for the kids, with a breakfast included, in North York. This hotel did it for us.

close to Canada's wonderland

The first night wasn't bad with the pool the life guard was nice the second night the life guard was rude to my kids but besides that the hotel was pretty good especially the complimentary breakfast my kids lived to make their own waffles

I chose this hotel for the close proximity to Canada's Wonderland and the Vaughan Mills Mall. Room was clean enough but the decor was a bit dated. We had 2 queen sized beds, I found the bed I slept on to be too soft and saggy. If I leaned to much to one side it felt like the mattress was about to dip to the floor. Clean rooms and great staff but otherwise lacking

Room was clean and staff was very helpful but you could tell there hasn't been much done to this place to bring it up to today's standards... old mattresses and bedding... tube TVs instead of flatscreen... and we found a huge clump of hair floating in the pool... overall... was not impressed... Great value for your money!

Enjoyed the stay and the service. Kids loved the pool and the waterslide! Only complaint is the waterslide only operates friday and Saturday nights from 6-10pm and Sunday morning which is misleading and not advertised on their website!!!

Good enough

Due to availability I could only book a smoking room. This room was gross - cigarette burns in the grimy sofa, a tear on the comforter (which i toss off anyways) and the washroom door looked like someone put their fist through it. Other than needing to replace wear and tear (literally), the location was ideal.

Great service. Will book ahead next time to get a better price. Room was smelly as we had a smoking room, but it was the only one left so we had no choice.

convenient location

This hotel is in a convenient location for us. The rooms are spacious and we like that the bedroom and living area are separated. It is close to Tim Horton, McDonalds, Subway and there is a great restaurant called Angelos...all in walking ..We stay there every year when going to watch tennis at York U.

Stay was okay.

The breakfast was lacking. I would have liked to see some fruit or yogurt. The pool was cool and the hot tub was barely warmer than that. My kids and I "swam" in the hot tub for over an hour and we were not uncomfortable with the heat. We stayed here while we were shopping and going to Wonderland. I would probably pay the difference and get a better hotel next time.

Convenient to Rt 400 if going further North

Front Desk personnel very nice, rooms were adequate with convenient refrigerator and microwave. Restaurants close by within walking distance, Very nice Italian restaurant in strip mall excellent. Bed was a little soft for my taste. They have a nice indoor pool that was getting a lot of use.
