The hotel is located near to the Go Station which made it convenient for my trip.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was neat and tidy at check-in.
Price was a bit higher than expected, compared to other similar hotels.
Overall a nice, quiet place to stay.
Found out friends got the CAA discount for one night and then told it wasn't available. We added a night to the beginning of the trip and it cost $10 more for no reason. When we asked about the CAA rate told it wasn't available however the Super8 emails state AAA discount (which is my opinion is the same). Could've... more
Very clean everywhere even room. Staff very polite and helpful. Only complaint was that there was only one chair in the room and it was not comfortable. Breakfast area very clean and tidy and food was good but nothing for diebetics such as plain cereals without all the sugar!
If you need to be in Ajax this is an easy to find place with a central location. I have stayed there several times.
We enjoyed our stay. We did find the price expensive for less than a 24 hr stay.
The exterior windows need washing as well as the top of the entrance car port.
It is situated very close to the 401 and the Go Station.
Stayed two nights. Complained of loud music and drug smells for TWOnights. Nothing was done by staff. Did not believe the 5 rooms complaining about. "Lack of evidence". Seriously? Entire hotel reeked.
The motel had no restaurant had to walk to kfc.Wasn't given any direction's to get to better places to eat.
When we made reservations, we pointed out I was handicapped and my wife was in a wheelchair. I was told everything would be ready. When we arrived, they put us in the "quieter" end of the hotel. I thought that was nice until we found this room was quite a distance from the front desk. I didn't say anything at... more
-Ants in bathroom, room 204
-despite room being a suite, no place to sit other than on 1 of 2 queen beds
(no table & chairs)
-hot tub temp set at 70 degrees instead of the recommended 104 (thermostat had a lock on it -despite posted warning that kids under 14 where not to be unaccompanied; pool / hot tub...

There's not much in the way of hotel competition in Pickering and Ajax. I have stayed at the Hilton and it was very good, but I needed a more affordable option this time around and the Super 8 gave us that value.
The staff was friendly and were eager to make sure our stay was a good one. The room...

Perfect place to stay, affordable and clean and close to everything in Ajax!!!
Nice and quiet and very enjoyable.
Room was clean, and staff was friendly. Easy on and off the 401. Good place to stay for the price point.
Overall a good experience except pool, pool area and hot tub condition extremely disappointing!!!!! as well front desk staff had very little knowledge of how to handle pool conditions.
Ditch the styrofoam cups for coffee. It affects the taste. Any decent coffee place offers paper cups. There is a reason why
The staff at this Super 8 are what makes the hotel. Upon arriving the heater in our room was broken and we had to move rooms. For our trouble the lady upgraded us to a junior suite which was quite nice, although it did smell a bit like old smoke, not enough to make this Nazi x-smoker move rooms again,... more
If you are looking for decent budget accommodations this Super 8 is adequate. Everything is average. The room was clean but a bit dark and stuffy.
The staff did not have our reservation. They did have a room. Room was okay. Breakfast was
a bust. They then charged me 2 nights for 1 night stay and refused repeatedly to credit my card
for their mistake. Or maybe they did it on purpose. Anyway, avoid this motel at all costs.
Stopped there for a night on our way to Niagara... $129 for a 2-room suite (that's all they had left)! The place is super clean, nothing fancy but who cares. There's also a free continental breakfast, indoor pool and very nice employees!
1st time staying here for a family get together , found it to be great for the money. Breakfast is better than most continental breakfast we have had. Kid friendly with having a waffle maker and swimming pool. Like most super 8's for what ever reason the pool water is always to cold. Daughter always has blue lips while swimming... more
Beautiful place. Very courteous, super clean, feels fancy for the price. The manager, other staff members and even the cleaning team were very nice and always smiled at us and tried to make pleasant talk. There are coffee facilities in the room and a laundry room for your convenience as well. There is a pool but we did not use... more
The hotel was pretty clean from the front desk up to the room. The hotel was none smoking so that was a plus. The staff was friendly, the ice maker and the elevator worked. There was a clean small pool available for swimmers or children. There was a breakfast provided which included waffles, bagels or toast, cereal, orange, juice and... more
Stayed twice for two nights and found all to be as needed. Rooms spacious and clean. Breakfast grand for continental standard - lots to fill up on if you wanted.
Location easy to find off the 401 and plenty of eateries and shopping nearby if you have a car.
Used pool only once and was fine - just us two!!...

We stayed at Super 8, Ajax for seven nights and we enjoyed our stay. All the staff are great, from the owner/manager to the cleaning staff, we found them wonderful.
Breakfast was good if very “samey” and the room was well cared for, the swimming pool is not large but was fine and for the price it was good.

The front desk staff were very friendly, the breakfast was better than most. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only concern was when I was able to connect to the internet and that was not often it was very slow. Otherwise an enjoyable stay.
Far too many young adults are in the "ME" Generation. They only think about "ME". Why would they wander up and down corridors at 1:30 AM, laughing and screaming, then decide to enter their room (unfortunately next to mine) and continue the loud talking and laughing until 4:00 AM? Most motels have no security available to handle this situation which... more
Unpretentious, yet pleasant, this hotel is quiet and friendly. The welcome was lowkey and respectful. The room was big enough, but not quite as clean as expected. Being there for only on night I didn't bother complaining, but rooms should be cleaner. The breakfast was ok, but not quite the healthier fare I am used to. No whole grain cereal,... more
My daughter and I had a nice stay for two nights. The beds were 'Super' comfy and the room was very clean. We especially enjoyed the breakfast each morning. My only advice would be to not get a room right behind the elevator. It was a little noisy.
After driving in a blizzard, it was very nice to arrive and everything was ready for us. Picked up the key and headed to the room. All services were very satisfactory. The hotel was full of childeren as there were many youth oriented sport tournaments going on in the area. Still got a good nights sleep after I told the... more
I had a pleasant overall experience. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well, which is important. I felt the breakfast looked rather stale and unappealing so I opted to eat at a nearby fast food restaurant instead. Besides that all was well.
Hi I have stayed at this Super 8 on many occassions. One of the reasons I keep coming back is the service. Particularly the front desk associate Gail. She is an asset and is more than helpful and friendly I wopuld recommend this location for its value and its front desk clerk service.

Waited 10 minutes to check-in while desk clerk was on the phone. Elevator was very slow. Took the stairs to the fourth floor every time. Ice machine on the first floor for the hotel. Not cool when your on the fourth floor! Continental breakfast was average.
I have chossen this Hotel for it's location to my work site, competitive pricing, very good wireless cinnection.
Friendly staff, generalyy quiet hotel to allow some one like me who getts very little to for rest.
Reecent Matress up grade, microwave.

I had booked a room for one night on November 12, 2012 for business. The staff member was helpful and pleasant on check in. The room was clean and well maintained. We were very happy with everything about our stay. It was a good location for us near the highway. Easy access. Check-in was easy and friendly and checking out was the same.
Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff, but very thin walls!! too many kids running around, and also drunk people in the middle of the night in the hallways.
kinda old inside especially the elevator that I thought was going to quit everytime I was on it. Nice to have a pool, but pool enclosure area only 70 degrees. Its obvious this Super 8 is trying to save expenses, there was not even a pen in the room. I was told the room was $99.00 for each of the... more
if you need a place to lay your head then that is all to expect. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, you could hear the plumbing working in the other rooms, the noice level was atrocious and was woken up in the early morning hours by a fight down the hall. The complimentary breakfast was pathetic. No... more
We stayed here in July and September due to the location for a sporting event. We just needed a place to sleep. Gail on the front desk is great and very helpful. Going up the elevator (I had a room on the forth floor), I found myself looking at the cirtificate on the wall to make sure it was up to date. There was a lot of dirt in the corrners of the elevator. The rooms were not too bad, and the TV's are flat screen. The bed felt like sleeping on... more
The rooms are very basic, old TV's no movies for rental. The breakfast provided is cereal, stale bagels and an apple. Coffee, barely drinkable. Kids reaction .... let's go to Tims. The beds are uncomfortable. The walls and floors are paper thin so expect noise.
We booked through Expedia for special rate but were not guaranteed a non-smoking room. We ended up with one that smelled like stale smoke. Luckily, we only had to crash after a banquet for a few hours.
Location is convenient to people travelling Hwy. 401. Close to Pickering Town Centre mall and many major box stores. Several fast food outlets...

Husband works in Pickering (lives hours away), due to being close choose this hotel to stay at. Simply put this motel was a grossly overpriced dive. It was really the sort of place you'd expect to have a $50 price tag. It was acceptable but if you don't get a better deal then definitely search elsewhere.
I stayed at this hotel while I was taking a three day course in Ajax Ontario. The room was fairly clean with the exception of the bathroom exhaust vent (full of dirt) the elevator sounded like a train.
Free high speed internet was included with the room however it was only wireless and i could not get a strong signal....

Room furniture is old and badly needs updating. The office chair in our room had obviously had bodily fluids of some kind on the seat and a poor job had been made of cleaning it. When we complained the front desk immediately came with another, which unfortunately, was almost as filthy as the first one. This hotel badly needs a... more

Loud motel, kids playing in the halls at seven in the morning on a Saturday. Staff very friendly but it doesn't make up for the awful beds. Spend the extra $20 and stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Scarborough.
What a nightmare! Hotel was full of various teams (lacrosse) and staff unable to cope. All day kids wrestling in the halls and dogs playing outside our door. We could not open our window at night because the tail gate parties went on in the parking lot till 3 am both nights and of course for air we needed to... more
I recently stayed here with one of the hockey teams that I manage and would never recommend this hotel for teams to stay in despite its excellent proximity to the Don Beer Arenas. You shouldn't expect a lot from a Super 8 except a clean functional room, and while we did get that, this location seems a little rough around the edges. Two problems in particular: a bathroom door lock that did not work and litter in the stairwell. In addition, carpets in some of the common areas were very worn and in... more
