My Stay

I just needed a place to sleep, didnt spent much time in my room, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. To my surprise they gave me a suite, which was a complete surprise! This came with a king sz bed and a jacuzzi.

Service great. Room not so much

Room had mold in it light was very dirty and not bright. Beds comfy switched to smoking room but still room should have been ok.

Super 8 Guelph

Was a standard room, nothing too special, been in worst and better rooms.

"Cheaper than Elora!"

A satisfactory spot $89 a bit steep for a basic motel.We're used to $39 to $59 in America. Only a 25 minute drive to Elora/Fergus. Included breakfast very basic but looked after morning hunger. (Tim's near by.)

I would never stay here again

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Ridiculously high price for what you get. Complaints based on my stay: 1) the room was very humid. It was the middle of summer, but it was so humid, the floors were sticky. Friendly service

Friendly service , greeted me as a normal person very genuine .. Room was just what i needed with a fridge and microwave , everything was clean. Safe parking lot no problems all together ..

In a bit of disrepair

No coffee or breakfast in the morning and walls and floor boards were in disrepair

I've stayed at the Super 8 many times and had both very good and very bad experiences due to management. The current management is extremely pleasant and helpful; I could not have been happier. They have renovated the rooms which are much more attractive and clean. Bathrooms could use some work.

Convenient location

Check in went well, room was clean and comfortable. No noise problems although I was told there were a lot of kids staying overnight. They were placed in the back, so no problem. Check out went well.

Not worth the money

We were greatly disappointed with this hotel and will not stay again.

out of the way, but reasonably priced

This hotel was perfectly priced for its location; it was a bit out of the way of the main amenities. That said, it was perfectly situated to be able to drive anywhere in Guelph within fifteen minutes. The room was extremely comfortable, came with complimentary wifi and was extremely comfortable and clean. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my stay.

Safe but no Wow Factor

I was not disgusted but I wasn't thrilled with the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom tiles had some black mould in the grout (very fine) the tub showed it's age with a worn finish and discolouration. You could see a bit of dust on the register. Looks can be deceiving

Hotel looks a bit tired on the outside but my room was just what a person would want or need for a comfortable night's stay. I would say I got exceptional value for the money.

Low cost - very basic - could be cleaner

First of all make no mistake that this is a motel not a hotel. It has been updated somewhat to meet motel 8 standards I guess. There was a newer nicer bed in a 70's style room. Dirty, Old horror movie type MOTEL!

This "hotel" is not a hotel, it is a very dirty disgusting motel. The rooms stunk, bathrooms had mold all over and was just dirty. Would not stay again.

dirty dirty motel not hotel. layers on dust on exposed cords. scum and mildew in bathroom and shower. stains on curtains. hair on pillow that was not ours. we were just waiting for a drug bust in this place. slept with the bathroom light on!!

Middle of nowhere and depressing.

While the hotel staff, especially the front desk staff were very polite, accommodating and helpful, the room itself was an unmitigated disaster. Nice hotel close to the bar

The room was clean. It looked nice and love the picturs on the wall.

Convenient Location

This hotel was convenient for it's location and the purpose of our trip. We received new towels and toiletries each day, but the room was never tidied for us (beds made, etc.). Day staff was very pleasant, night staff not so much.

Fine place for one night, pleasant breakfast, cheery accommodating staff but appalling bathroom. The tub was beyond filthy/needed a good scour. Wouldn't even take a shower. Other guests also remarked on the dreadful bathroom conditions.

Super 8 in Guelph

Any Super 8 I ever stayed at was new and very nice with a pool. This particular Super 8 was disgusting. It was an old motel..poorly painted and maintained..even my comforter had stains on the top.. A night at Super 8

The room looked grubby - the rug not vacuumed. It was a very hot night and no air conditioning. The bathroom was clean. There was no extra lock on the door. The girls at the desk were pleasant. It was OK but I wouldn't go there again.

Extremely dissapointing stay in the Guelph Super 8

The Air Conditioner in the room was extremely noisy and continually dripped making it difficult to sleep. There was also a party going on above this room which did not finish until approximately 2 am. This room had a sign on the door stating it was a no smoking room however you could tell that it had been smoked in previously. Unsatisfied

The angle of the photo led me to think it was a hotel, not a motel which it was. Lets just start with the bathroom, the hair all over it was not mine! The sink was not attached to the counter making turning on the water difficult considering there was no water pressure. I was not expecting my room to open out to the parking lot. There were kids who were staying at the next hotel for lacrosse playing lacrosse around my car and lounging on it as well as knocking on all the doors. The bathroom door would not shut...

As stated, the bathroom door would not shut and the carpeting, while new, was buckling and coming up. The bed skirts looked to have been picked up at a flea market. Lack of Hot Water

Lack of hot water for bath or shower. Bed was very comfortable. Free Wi-Fi was very nice.

I didn't find the room to be the cleanest, the tub was very stained and there was rips in the curtains. I think that the hotel didn't have the greatest continental breakfast either. I would recommend to friends for a cheaper hotel, but I probably won't return

It was cold in the room and outdated. The hot water took about 10 minutes to warm up. The curtains were a mess. Missing hooks to close it properly.

Not Good.

Good hotel for the price

This hotel was fine for a short stay. There was the faint odor of smoke in the room, but was not a big problem. The bathroom facuet was hard to turn on. Overall a good room for the price.

Super 8 Guelph On

The room was not clean, I went to open the microwave and the back of the handle was stuck hard with dirt. The frig front was dirty and the overall needed to be dusted and the carpet vaccumed.

The room we stayed in was okay. They indicated a recent renovation to the hotel, but we did not notice. The room was painted badly and there were cracks and paint on the ceiling. hotel could use some basic maintenance - the bathroom door wouldn't even close. it was close to restaurants and our destination. desk clerk was unfamiliar with the property as they suggested we get a room on the ground floor so we could access our vehicle, but then they gave us a room on the driveway with no parking. next time, I'll spend a few more dollars.

Good for the money

Very good for the price. Breakfast is cereals, oatmeal, boiled egg, and the usual toast, bagels, peanut butter, jams, coffee, The rooms do not have a heating control althought they do have an air conditioner with heating and cooling. Great little hotel for the price

Under new owners and being renovated. Rooms are comfy but not all are updated yet. Rooms are Cery clean and staff is friendly and interested in making your stay good.

It was ok but smelled of cigarette smoke

We booked rooms at this hotel because we were arriving for a wedding. We checked in only long enough to change and dash out to the wedding. The smell of air spray was overwhelming but since the room had just been cleaned and we were in a rush we did not ask to move. It was a bit below average, as cigarette smoke was still prevalent. Beds were clean. Bath was clean. Motel is tired and likely needs to be rebuilt or refurbished in the next couple of years. However, it was economical and good value for the money.

Hoped for a relaxing overnight and got guest parol

Phoned the day before arrival to let them know we were on our way and would arrive after dinner and request, if they could, that the room for my wife and I be next to or as close as possible to my Mother-in-Law's room.
