Nestled in British Columbia's striking Thompson Okanagan region, the Delta Sun Peaks Resort makes it easy to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.
Located in the middle of Sun Peaks, the resort offers something for every guest in every season, from award-winning ski slopes and rugged hiking trails to relaxing spas and boutique shopping.
My first trip to Sun Peaks. Great mountain. Good snow (somewhere between the wetter Western WA snow and Colorado Powder). Definitely want to go back.
The Grand Hotel was an oddly mixed bag. The Hotel had that beautiful grand feel in the lobby, but I found some of the accouterments a little dated. Their staff also seemed to be a step behind what I would have expected. We took 4 couples and I...

Note to self - Next time...5 days...2, 1, 1 (ski 2, xc 1,ski 1)
Sun Peaks Grand lodge
Must stay in the Summit Club/5th floor. Worth the $$. We had 2 rooms that faced the town...I recommend asking for a mountain view room though they are a little smaller.
Breakfast in the Summit club was a major treat...clothing recommended. Haha! (I swear a guy walked in in his robe and bed head...not a good...

This place used to be pretty well run and maintained when it was operated by the Delta. It's consistently going down hill with regards to service and maintenance. It's too bad because it's probably the best location at Sun Peaks. Hope they improve.
I have been to this Hotel 2 years ago when it was a Delta Hotel. It is now NOT a Delta Hotel. Though the beds are comfortable, Some of the finishing in the rooms is a bit tired.
The worst part of the stay is the staff efficiency. We had booked months prior for a King Single room. The night we arrived there was a wedding and they were Sold Out. They put us in a room with 2 small Double beds,...

Went on a much needed relaxation retreat and wow! The staff very friendly, the facility clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tubs were spotless and not over chlorinated. The restaurant although a bit pricey had fabulous food and the few shops and restaurants that were open were excellent as well. We will definitely be back. Oh and the added touch was the awesome complimentary chocolate... more
enjoyed an off season stay for a price no higher than a modest motel in Kamloops
Enjoyed the outdoor pool & hot tub at the end of October. Facilities are very nice but found the extra charge for the cot/bed ridiculous when I already paid for an add'l person to stay in the room. Also parking was extra on top of the room charge. Besides that the staff were very friendly & accomodating!
Had expected a Delta hotel as per ad....turns out new owner. We knew it was off-season, however, upon arrival not hardly anything was open....no shops, no restaurants (except the pricey one in the hotel) The rather smug desk clerk asked for $13 to park in addition to,the $169 night! No refunds (we would have gone to kamloops at that point). He waived the parking upon my complaint (all of 5 cars... more
Great location. Nice deck with pool and hot tubs. Hotel is looking a bit tired. Our hallway smelled like an old folks home. We were there at a very quiet time of the year - in between skiing and mountain bike season. Breakfast was mediocre.
Had a great time, went hiking and out to the local night club which had a live band... Really good time
We travel quite a lot and were more than pleasantly surprised with what we got for our money when we arrived at Sun Peaks. The Place was like a little city all of it's own it was so quaint and Pretty set into the background of such majestic mountains, making for Beautiful views! Inside the lobby was Magnificent! such workmanship and detail, beautiful woodwork. Our room was CLEAN, very... more
Very enjoyable, definitely would return, central location, clean, beautiful foyers with tapestries, it really is quite grand. Those comforters are odd, pillows are lumpy too? All in all very good value, we used the hot tub and appreciated that not all the pools were in brilliant sunshine at the same time. Thank you!
this is my 3rd trip to othis hotel this year.it never disappoints.
Heerlijk verblijf op een toplocatie en dit voor zeer goede prijs.
A wonderful restaurant and very comfortable, clean well appointed chalet. We stayed at the Cedar House on our way to Kelowna from Calgary and enjoyed every minute.
We were touring from Vancouver to Calgary and chose this hotel for an overnight stop. It was slightly out of the way from our route but definitely worth the detour. The rooms were nice and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely like to return for a longer stay. The hotel is surrounded by a mini alpine village where you can go for walks and get food and souvenirs. The... more
Good customer service. Location is close to attractions and restaurants.
It took them 45 min to find our reservation then room light was not working they fave bus room at the end of world. When we asked to oral to manager no one followed up with us. There was no amenities in that room their ice machine was not working when we called at 11 pm at night they tried but still no follow up by the management and at the check out my husband mentioned that we were not happy... more
We were lucky enough to have a mountain-facing balcony room from which we were able to: enjoy the retro music concert, watch mountain bikers careen down the trails, people watch and quietly sip morning coffee while reading a chapter or two.
It was a very relaxing 2 day stay. We stopped in on our way back from Vancouver and decided to stay an extra night. Staff were very friendly and room was very comfortable and clean. The location offered lots of activities -mountain biking, hiking, golfing and dining. The village had outdoor entertainment which was very enjoyable. The local residents were very friendly and welcoming. Overall a... more
One thing I am not happy about is paying parking, $13 per night.
We loved our stay at this hotel and actually decided to stay one night longer than planned. The room was big, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The cleanliness of the room was excellent and I am picky about this in hotels. We enjoyed a nice meal on the patio of the lounge and the food was delicious. The hotel was very close to the chairlifts and bike park. We enjoyed... more
We stayed in Sun Peaks as a midway stop to our "real" destination. The hotel itself was quite nice. The village of Dun Peaks 8 cute. But, this was not a good destination in summer. Restaurants were closed early. Not many people. The resort is pretty. The outdoor heated was very nice. The morning that we left, a tree feLL on the power line for the village. Only one restaurant had a generator.... more
A descent hotel. I was a bit put off by the parking charge. While I expect that downtown in a city, there is no scarcity of land here so its really tough to justify that parking fee. Would choose another option in sun peaks next time for this reason.
What a delightful surprise this hotel and resort was. A little gem in the interior of BC.
Summertime visit to a ski favourite. Almost as much fun in the summer. Great village and the Sun Peaks Grand is a very comfortable hotel.
Sun peaks is a wonderful setting with golf in the summer and skiing in the winter. Bavarian feel to the town. Not enough high end restaurants, pretty casual fare. Be careful the time of year you stay.
Great Hotel, staff were super helpful, especially Tamara at the front desk. Nice location. Lots of choice for meals. Would visit again when everything is open. We went during off season on a quiet day.
Only disappointment was at the Mantles Restaurant. Great food but the waiter basically forgot us. When I finally got his attention he apologized then forgot to bring us our dessert. It put a real damper on our anniversary dinner. Also the room was cold. We were completely satisfied with the comfort and service at a competitor's restaurant and ate there for the remainder of our stay. The... more
Surprised by the beauty of this alpine village in summer. We loved our stay. The grand was very pleasant and prominent in its surroundings. Great decision to stop here instead of kamloops on our trip. Only wish we had allowed an extra day to fully explore, or a week to fully relax. Next time.
Really nice hotel only thing is in summer there's not a lot open during the summer in the hotel or village perfect place to spend winter!!!
Saw blue rodeo great concert venue!! Staff was very helpful. Prices a little high in the restaurant.
Bed super comfortable, lunch burger & salads great, margaritas perfect. Front desk staff suburb! However, didn't resupply coffee mugs and glasses, nor creamers. Breakfast smorgasbord fair at best. English muffins stale, wife's Benny not cooked, hash browns cold and dry.
We had a very nice stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and accomodating giving us a free upgrade on our room for our 30th Anniverary. The room (though in a private area of the hotel) was surprisingly not very special. The balcony was on the parking lot side of the hotel and wasn't very impressive. Overall I was disappointed in the blahness of the room. I did love and enjoy the... more
Hotel bonito e com funcionarios educados. Noite repousante.
the village was lovely but nothing was open , June is between the.seasons . in winter or high summer it is probably better.
Very nice hotel staff, very clean room and clean hotel. It is worth driving a little more.
Great staff...room was large ,with a deck ,now if only the weather had been better..
We stayed there for just one night but have to say we had amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and addressed all of our needs. Would stay there again
I took my family to Delta Sun Peaks for two days during the off season. The level of attention we received is without question the best I have ever seen. Every staff member was kind and went out of their way to make us feel at home. I could not recommend the hotel more.
Room was clean but hotel has some expected wear and tear as should be expected for a ski village. Hotel staff were very friendly. There are three outdoor hot tubs - temp was great but jets were weak in the one we tried. Our room was not ready at 4pm on the day of check-in, not really a big deal. They offered to call when it was ready and it only took 30 more minutes, and also offered to waive... more
We had a fabulous stay at the Delta Sun Peaks. The beginner hills right outside the hotel and you can sit in the hot tub and watch the skiers go by. Staff was friendly and very helpful to us. Definitely stay again.
loved the hotel, breakfast was VERY expensive and not overly worth it, and they didn't tell us that we had to pay 40 dollars for parking found out after we even checked out.
We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend getaway from our hectic lives. There was an event going on so the hotel had a lot of activities to manage. The front desk and help were awesome! Great guys managing the luggage in and out. However housekeeping was slow or non-existent with requests. It didn't ruin the stay though, merely a heads up for others.
Great front desk staff, friendly and helpful
Clean rooms, good service. Breakfast was just ok. Ill be back
The mixture of ideal location, friendly staff, and lovely spacious rooms made for an excellent visit!
Excellent location, spacious rooms, very clean, pleasant staff
Hotel was great, excellent service and a beautiful pool and hot tub slope side. Beds were a little too soft for my liking.
Very expensive rooms. Very small beds. Stains on the carpets, hair all over the bathroom. Would not recommend this place to anyone. The night club was so loud you could here it in the hotel room.
I keep getting in the habit of leaving my phone charger behind. In rental cars, hotel rooms and lord knows where else. I stayed at the Delta on numerous occasions and this last trip brought me to a work conference for 3 days.
The hotel is set in beautiful Sun Peaks and the name definitely does justice, especially in the mornings when the sun rises over the mountain. Staff is friendly, except...

You cannot get a better location in Sun Peaks! Overall love the hotel service, staff is always friendly. We try to stay in the Residences, if we can. They are one bedroom suites with a full kitchen. Perfect for families! I'm only giving a 4 star however, because there is always something small that is missing. For example this last time, there wasn't a dish cloth in the kitchen. I called... more
Would recommend this hotel. Its very modern with good facilities although we went in July it is a fair way from the main road but a good alternative to Kamloops.
We went up with some friends on a Groupon "pre-season" special for a quick ski trip. It was late November and there was enough snow to ski but patchy in some spots. A good value and I'd recommend it. The hotel is right at the base of the ski hill and once you park, you'll not need your car again. Check-in was easy without any surprises. Parking was included. The room was great with plenty of... more
I love it up here! Then again we are owners in the residences!! The suites are beautifully finished and I get to bring up my little yorkie! The beds are fantastic and the pool and spa areas are clean, well maintained and looks out at the ski hills. Room service each day is optional as part of their 'green' effort to reduce water usage and they'll credit you $10 per day towards any food service... more
Well, after a first visit that got off on the wrong foot at this hotel, my husband and I are returning this coming weekend. Why? Because the sales manager and valet made a so-so visit a great one. You see, you can turn things around - IF you care about customers enough. All I can say as a great honest effort was made to keep us happy and get us to come back and visit. And that's a heck of a lot... more
