On a strip of Dougall Avenue, surrounded by truck stops, no-tell motels, fast-food restaurants and adult retail outlets - sits The Stonecroft Inn. Those are the only negatives about the hotel.
Greg helped me arrange accommodations for my family reunion, and was fantastic. The rooms are large, super-clean and everyone remarked on the comfortable beds. The A/C was fantastic, cooling...

Not a huge hotel so there aren't 100 kids running the halls. They made us feel welcome by putting our team name on the front sign. Rooms are very clean and well kept and upgraded. Staff is friendly and professional. They have a nice continental breakfast which was just fine for us. Gilligan's restaurant is attached to the hotel and... more
Got a great friendly vibe from Greg, on the phone, so we reserved a double-queen room. Arrived after a long day in the car to a friendly, efficient welcome and most importantly - a spotless, well-appointed room. This Inn could show the chain motels a thing or two about quality.
Our room was comfortable, the beds fresh with big, plump...

To be fair, this is not my first visit to the Stonecroft Inn in Windsor. For eight years, I have been coming to Windsor for the Wounded Warriors Golf Tournament. The Stonecroft was recommended to me by the organizers of the tournament. The Stonecroft has always offered good value. The free continental breakfast and quiet rooms have always been appreciated.... more
Staff was very friendly and was made feel quite comfortable upon arrival. The room was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was done nicely with a huge shower. I could not find one fault with this hotel and will definitely be back
My husband and I were in town for a concert at the casino. We've been to Windsor many times and found the hotels we have stayed at in the past just keep raising the prices....more and more. Too expensive. I saw this on Trip Advisor and it looked great, with a great price. I called the number and the guy... more
I just came back from a great weekend away and stayed at the Stonecroft Inn. My Manfriend found this place by looking on this site and I am glad he did. The location of this Inn was great and just a short drive to the Tunnel where you can cross the border into Detroit.
The rooms have been very nicely...

Everything was excellent. We had a king bed room with a kitchen including cooktop, microwave and bar fridge. Obviously recently renovated. A small table with 2 chairs was a nice addition. Sitting area with couch and TV that was visible from the bed as well.
Bed was comfy, pillows good and the AC worked perfectly. The bathroom was recently renovated...

We visited the Stonecroft Inn in mid July. I can't say enough about it. Clean, renovated rooms. The bed was the best I have ever slept in. Continental breakfast was free, and consisted of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee and tea. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Convenient to downtown. Highly recommended!
The entire hotel feels like it was recently redone. The interior has a clean modern feel. The hotel has two floors. I did not see an elevator. All the rooms have an interior entrance. When I arrived late the night I stayed, I had to park on the back side of the property. A room key was required to enter... more
This hotel is a wonderful alternative to the large skyscraper options. Smaller and very friendly. All rooms have been updated and include top quality beds and pillows. Very clean and stylish decor. Lots of parking and restaurant/bar on site. Very nicely priced as well.
Booked a jacuzzi suite based off of reviews and pictures on their website.
Was disappointed to discover the jacuzzi suites have not been updated. Old furniture, linens and microwave/mini fridge in room barely worked. Also, there was no shampoo, conditioner or lotion in our room upon arrival. I believe the website should state that not all rooms are updated as...

We were in the process of moving out of the city and needed a hotel for one night after our furniture was loaded on a moving van and before I flew out. I requested an early check-in and the staff were very accommodating. The rooms have been renovated recently. They are spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a large fridge... more
I stayed at the Stonecroft Inn on a spur of the moment trip to Windsor. Didn't want to spend $400-$500 Caesars was asking so looked on Trip Advisor and saw the high rating so thought I'd give it a try. Really glad I did as this little spot was a pleasant surprise. The property has an old school motor inn... more
My daughter and I were attending a convention in Windsor recently and chose this little motel. Good choice! Looks like it has been renovated in the past few years and that has brought it up to date with modern hotels. The bathroom was as stunning as some high end hotels we have stayed in.

You will not be disappointed!!!! We stayed there for two nights while fishing for MUSKY on the Detroit River. Caught a 5 incher. This place has been recently remodeled and they did a great job. The staff especially Bob had breakfast open for us at 4:30 am. Stay here and save, Close to Wall Mart.
Found this gem after reading reviews and was not disappointed. We were given an upgrade to suite with a fully equipped kitchen that would be handy for extended stay's. The room was spotless, beautiful, modern and with a very comfortable king size bed. We were on the second floor near the back so it was very quiet even though the... more
I'm staying here from May 26 to May 29 for business and usually stay at Caesars/Hilton however since both hotels are sold out, I did my homework and found this gem. From the minute I called to see if there was any room availability to actually checking in, I was greeted superbly and kindly. The host/clerk went above and beyond... more
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel recently, while in town for a wedding. What a gem! Chose it after reading other reviews, and wasn't disappointed. It is an older motel building, so there are no elevators if you get a room on the 2nd floor, like we did, but it has been renovated and the rooms are beautiful. We... more
I stayed in room 228. Fully equipped kitchen, stainless steel appliances, granite counters, nice lighting fixtures (just missing dish cloths and hand towels for clean up).
Modernly outfitted king size bed, leather sofa and nice desk/work area.
The bathroom has a great "rainfall" walk in shower and ample counter space. (No hair dryer - bring your own!).

The outside looks like a standard independant local motel, but the accommodation (recently renovated) and the friendly staff made a huge difference. I stayed in a single room and although it was on the small side, the lovely decor made it feel anything but small. The bed was comfortable and the walk in shower stall was great (as big as... more
We choose this motel due to limited availability of other motels/hotels in the city. We were pleasantly surprised at how helpful, pleasant and accommodating the staff were. The rooms at the Stonecroft Inn have been recently renovated, and it shows. All the furnishings are modern, comfortable and clean and the fancy wallpaper, carpets and fixtures are also great. There's a flatscreen TV facing the bed.

We stayed here for 2 nights while in town for a birthday party. We got in late on Friday night and received a wonderful, warm welcome. Continental breakfast was very convenient, and our room was spotless and beautifully renovated. Awesome!
We were in town to visit family and do some bird watching. I am always a little dubious when the lodging is not a known chain. The Stonecroft was equal and in some ways superior to some of the higher end chains (Best Western Plus and others) Large modern rooms, extremely comfortable beds and a well above average bathroom. We had to make a trip down to Windsor over the Easter long weekend and my husband used Booking.com to find this hotel. I stayed here while on business. The room was 'high-end'. Sleek and modern with a walk-in glass full sized shower and nice fixtures. I was in windsor teaching a class at the university and was not able to get a room at Caesars. In a pinch, I booked this place and hoped for the best. I was glad I did because this could now be my "go to" in the city. The prices were very reasonable and rooms were clean. Would stay again.
Stayed 1night for an emergency situation. Hotel staff was great very accommodating with late late night check-in. Quiet rooms no traffic noise like you get over on the Huron church chains. Nicely renovated rooms beautiful bathroom and very clean. Would not hesitate to stay again. Keep up the good work
This hotel was like a boutique hotel. It must have been renovated recently; the room was really nice and new looking. There is no view, but it is near all conveniences. We recently stayed a couple of nights and were pleased with all aspects of our stay. The room we had was recently renovated and well appointed. I absolutely LOVED my stay at Stonecroft Inn. To put it plain and simple:
1) The staff are all exceptionally kind and accommodating
2) The new renovated rooms make you feel as though you are staying in at least a 4 star hotel. I love the fact that it is a very small and quiet building but the rooms are...

To be honest, the reviews are fair. This really is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are dated - perhaps we could say "retro"?

Stonecroft Inn is warm and hospitable. Prices are very moderate and the staff is polite and courteous.
My husband's parents discovered the Stonecroft as a less costly alternative to a hotel in downtown Windsor.
