The perfect place to go if your craving a good tasty burger with no gimmicks.. the atmosphere looks like the dive so don't be fooled.. but between the good food and fantastic staff... i sure go here a lot... (i usually do take out.. lol.)
It's a dive, but they do stunning burgers. Fussed over and cared about, made fresh on a charcoal-buring grill from beef that's never been frozen, and cooked to order. The result is...just about perfect. It is, at any rate, good enough that some of the frou-frou Plateau chefs that have been sprouting up like mushrooms all around this place have started to catch on.Check out:... more
Mauvais et laid resto. Savent même pas faire un club sandwich. Prennent pas les cartes... more
I need to note that napkins are a tremendous must. At one point, one of the tomato slices came flying out at me.
One of the best things about North America, and what I missed so desperately while in London was a good, greasy spoon brekkie. Montreal does not disappoint.
What's this restaurant doing here anyway? I mean, it's a fairly good greasy spoon that serves good food, and it's not a bad place to stop if you're taking a walk on Mont-Royal Avenue, but if you're traveling to Montreal, I would suggest other, more trendy and "different" burger spots!
You can't go wrong with a steerburger. In Montreal that means a small, but real, burger, and of course those suzy-Q's! If you dont know what those are, you gotta have 'em. . .they're spiral-fries, but heaped and all tangled up1
