I was very impressed with the efficient and friendly service at The Sports Exchange. They recommended a great pair of skates for me at a terrific price. Who cares if they are last year's models? As a occasional recreational skater, not me.
Good selection, good prices and good service.
If you are in the neighbourhood and need something quick like tennis balls in my case then give these guys a try. The service was friendly but don't expect the bells and whistles of a nice store.
Holy s@!t this place has a lot of selection. I wasn't able to flag down help, however, was self sufficient enough to my ability. Prices were competitive.
Misinformed me when I asked about the level of a particular skate, ie where it fit in the heirarchy of quality for a brand...the guy pretended not to know. i bought it with the proviso I could return it if the other I was looking at was preferable. Totally unpleasant when I did return it. Lesson: Don't trust their sales staff. Have never gone back, despite knowing sometimes deals are to be had.
Great store with great service, no young teenagers floating around lol.
experienced ppl who know their stuff.

I was told we don't usually hold items but that this bat was on hold for the owner of the... more
Great prices for discontinued and out of season hockey equipment. I usually buy sticks and, when I use to live around there, get my skates sharpened. Never had issues returning items and they generally have a good selection of equipment, aside from adult skates.
Service is not the best in terms of attentiveness but my skates got sharpened pretty quick and never had to wait too long.
Hockey people- this place is like Disneyland for hockey gear. There is no place else to go for selection of sticks, and I think they must use sticks as a bit of a loss leader, because they are always $10-$40 cheaper than anywhere else.
I love this place and make excuses just to go there.
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is service. I mean, these guys are like the walking dead....
