Great experience

Went in to purchase a pair of hiking shoes. The store was busy but a sales lady appeared promptly, asked all the right questions and quickly got me what I wanted, even steering me away from what would have been the wrong choice for my needs

A very reasonable store with relatively good selection, but only if you are only semi-serious about your sport. If you want to buy some ski stuff to go to Blue Mtn with your friends, its fine. If you're an actual skier, then you need to visit a specialty store. Skiis and Bikes on Don Mills is significantly better for the serious skier, and if you really want to go somewhere with excellent... more

I am looking for a warm jacket, NOT FOR SHOW, to stay warm, especially when its -10, - 15 C degrees outside.

i asked staff to help me out and show me their warmest jackets (price range 600$ - 1000$) ...shouldn't be a problem ..... WRONG

i was told that Canada Goose Kensignt parka will keep me warm......WRONG.

just went outside to test it out, 0 C degrees outside (and it says it can handle... more

This is THE BEST store to go and find a very wide range of coats. Before you go, you will be confused that the first floor is mostly guy's stuff and boots, and the second floor is mostly for women.

Packed full of coats, lots of variety, a good selection, and a small kid's section off to the right.

There's also a lot of ski stuff, and the range in each brand (e.g. Canada Goose or North Face)... more

I love this store, my Father was sports professor..and subsequently, I really enjoy...buying sports gear.

This is the #1 place where all of my white friends come to buy clothes which identifies them to others of their own heritage. Abercrombie, North Face, Canada Goose and etc.
The store is packed with merchandise, and it's very clean. There are sales persons at every department, and sometimes... more

Ah, cyber monday. It wreaks havoc on unsuspecting businesses. I get that.... But when you eff up and make a mistake, don't accuse your customers of lying, and don't try to use non-existent fine print to save your behind.

They ran an ad on their website that apparently no one knew about, and when I called them out on it with... more

Browsing through Yelp, I am often surprised by how few reviews this store attracts.

I'd guess that Sporting Life appeals to a less tech-savvy demographic, but if you ever pop by the hard goods section, and eavesdrop as gearheads chat with well-informed staffers, you'd find that hard to believe.

A Toronto mini-empire, Sporting Life has built a reputation on customer service in a field governed... more

I don't find myself if sporting goods stores very often, but I have to say that I'm very impressed with Sporting Life on Yonge.

Staff were uniformly friendly, proactive and almost ridiculously helpful. I had a question that an associate couldn't answer, so he immediately tracked down a manager who could. While in the change room area I shared some feedback with the attendant and less than five... more

Sporting Life combines high quality athletic equipment with equally high quality lifestyle goods. You can find everything from a Tour de France-worthy racing bike to a Lacoste sweater and Top-Siders for your days off. In the winter, their selection of outerwear is unparalleled.

The staff are very knowledgeable about their products, and will not try to push something on you if it isn`t right,... more

Terrible location but excellent products and staff! :) I came here on a Sunday afternoon so parking wasn't a problem. I parked in one of the residential streets.

LOVE this place for ski wear including apres skiwear. The selection is fantastic. The sales staff is very knowledgeable. If you catch a sale prices can be reasonable. Love it!!

I go to Sporting Life primarily during the winter months. As a skier, I purchase most of my equipment from them and have it serviced here. On both fronts, I can't complain.

I also have a normal day job so I can't usually get out to SL until the evening or weekend. This usually means that I'm competing with large families who know little about their sport they're looking to get their child... more

Sporting Life is a place I love to browse around and trying on clothes. They carries the latest fashions in ski jackets and down jackets.. both functional and stylish. Of course there is a price tag to match.

You can also found newest accessories for the sport persons as gifts and they are all of good qualities.

If you are into racquet sports, they do have demo racquets that you can sign out... more

Bought a Canada Goose jacket here full price - no discount because I can't handle cold weather. They never have anything on sale. All the good, expensive fancy stuffs. They cater to the rich neighbourhood.

A place for rich people to buy clothing and gear for rich person sports and for looking cool after they finish playing said sports. I don't mean this in a bad way and I'm half joking, but I do think it's important to be aware of Sporting Life's target market.

Sporting Life has excellent staff; knowledgeable, friendly, and never pushy. They have a ton of stuff packed into the store, but the... more

I've only really come here looking for winter sport equipment and this is THE place. Given it also probably carries the most expensive equipment in Toronto but given the selection, the really really helpful staff and the quality of the equipment, you really can't go wrong here.

Kids - Osh Kosh to Polo
Shoes - Treetorn to UGG
Accesories - Nixon to RayBan

The folks at Sporting Life somehow manage to perfectly balance FUNCTION and FASHION in their immense stock of beginner to amateur apparel, accessories, and equipment. Though I prefer function, sporty spice girls and guys can find their fashionable gears here too.

Sporting Life has everything one needs to suit-up and gear-up for activities ranging from a mild increase in heart rate (e.g.... more

I'm not much of a sportsy person. I mean, I like exercising and walking, but I'm kinda an amateur at everything and anything sporty. Sporting Life is the store for me, because they make everything look so good, so much so that I just want to become a sporty person.

This Sporting Life is a cool shop. It's a fair size, stretched out on two storeys. They have a collection of bikes upstairs which... more
