One bite from one of these burgers, made right before your eyes, with your own toppings, specialty sauces and fries, and you will keep coming back every time your in town.
If you can eat a burger and fries and you are still hungry, I'd be surprised, but if you did have room, they have the best fix, they are not called splitz grill for nothing, try the spilt it will top you over.
From beef to wild salmon, chicken, Italian sausage, free-range bison, organic turkey and signature spicy lentil burgers, fun starts in the Garnish area as you direct cooks to start piling on toppings and homemade sauces galore. Balance the grease with a Caesar or greek salad, or keep the vitamin G flowing with onion rings and house cut fries. Finish with ice cream floats and sundaes, and... more
For a joint in a resort town, Splitz Grill has remained remarkably reasonably priced for family fare. Its atmosphere isn’t going to win awards—the mock ’50s diner look is a little done—but for $6.75, the Splitz burger is fast and rewarding (a mere $7.50 to make it a Salt Spring Island lamb burger). What keeps ’em coming are the extras: standard sauces—mustard, relish, ketchup—are supplemented... more
If you're looking for good burgers, especially for take-out, this is your place. With a large selection of vegetarian, beef, buffalo, chicken and salmon burgers, plus an array of topping options, there is something here for everyone. The burgers are made to order and topped with your selection while you wait at the counter. The staff is fast and friendly.... more
Contrary to the add on the radio that always plays on MountainFM, Splitz Burger is not Whistler's best hamburger. Just because you put Babaganoush on a burger don't make it special. If you want to eat a great burger... make one at home.
Don't get me wrong... burgers are decent and worth a try. But bucksy for sure.
Food at Whistler tends to be pricey, but not here! Casual dining, great burgers with tons of choices, big servings of crispy fries...and try the Splitz sauce. A delicious garlicky mayo. Soooo good. Beer & a burger, can't go wrong! They have a wide variety of burgers too, not just beef! try lamb, bison, tuna, turkey, whatever you want!
To say finding inexpensive yet good food in Whistler is a challenge is a huge understatement. Especially since the Olympics when prices went up and have not come back down.
Splitz Grill is a welcome exception. Cozy atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff and good food. 5 people can get fed for under $50!!
The only problem is it is located... more
Do not think for one minute that this is any sort of restaurant, it is more of a take-away with a few chairs that you can eat at if you wish. All that said, still a tasty burger, I had a Bison Burger with Cheese, and was very nice.
We went to the Splitz grill because we needed somewhere to eat fast before the boys fell asleep after a hard day in ski school. This place didn't disappoint. The burgers were great and you could choose exactly what toppings and sauces you had in them. The kids menu was also good and the kids hot dog was massive. My... more
This. Was. Awesome.
The best freshly cooked burger you will ever have. I've spent most of my life as an American, so I feel I am more than qualified to recommend this most awesome place.
If you want to sit down and eat, you will have the wait as the secret is out and many will join the queue, spending... more
All 6 of us had a great meal at Splitz. Excellent chocolate shake, endless refills, good onion rings, great fries and great burgers make this a keeper. I suggest that if you go during peak hours and plan to stay, grab a table first while your friend(s) is in the line. The place was hopping and the meal did not... more
A small out of the way place to grab a burger. Several types of protein to choose from, beef, bison, salmon, chicken, turkey. Many toppings. Good fries and shakes. Cooked to order in front of you. Convenient to our condo so ate there several times. Everything in Whistler is super expensive but relatively speaking it was a good bargain.
Burgers here are definitely worth it! It is one place we always eat at whenever we are in Whistler, whether to dine in or takeaway.
The burgers are huge and they have different meat options as well as a vegetarian option. I recommend the bison/buffalo burger and be sure to bring your appetite as I always have enough leftovers for... more
Had read reviews about this place and looked forward to going there. A wee bit of a disappointment. Burger was just okay - I would take a burger at Earls over this any day of the week. Poutine was sad as well. You can't put cheddar cheese on poutine...just not right!
I would say save your time and money.
In Whistler, BC October 1 - 7 2012. Read about Splitz Grill and had a reccomendation from on of the locals. Went in - they have the awards for Best Burger on the wall for the past -( was it a decade?). This made me more of a sceptic than I already am.
This is one of those rare places... more
We have eaten at Splitz a number of times over the years and always love coming back. Our most recent trip included three Splitz combos which came to less than $35.00 and we were stuffed - a great value and great quality food. As a self proclaimed burger aficionado, Splitz is up there with In-N-Out, 5-Guys, Elevation Burger, and Wild... more
When we inquire where's the best place to bring 4 hungry kids ( plus equally hungry grown ups) the person at the info center told us SPLITZ Grill! We were at the center of the town and she gave us a map (cool for them to have a thick pad of this for tourist), and SPLITZ we came.
Quite a... more
The cashier was quite pleasant and helpful.
However I felt a bit rushed.
Ordered the Splitz burger with cheese and bacon.
Although I wanted to stand and wait for the burger (as other later diners did), I was told twice to sit at a table and they would call my name.
I took the burger to my table and saw... more
I really don't like giving negative reviews but my wife and I did not care for this hamburger at all. First of all it was around $10, It was dry, and had an unusual spice in it that we did not like at all. They fries were very greasy, some good, but many stubby and crisp - over done. This... more
Having read the great reviews and a recommendation we headed here for lunch. We had 1x salmon burger combo & 1x organic turkey burger combo
Good things - friendly staff & quick service. Great idea to offer toppings choice.
Not so good - we thought it was really expensive for a burger and fries. We thought the turkey burger would... more
We dined here one evening in mid September. They had customers, but not a crowd. My traveling companion had some intestinal issues and we were looking for a place that was neither spicey nor pricey - we intended to eat light. She was also put off by the loud music that most of the restaurants were playing and while I... more
Hands down the best burger in whistler/blackcomb!! It is a creation beyond what you expect, the meat is delicous, the veggies are fresh and the sauces are out of this world.
If i could go here every week i would fly to canada!
A casual place to eat. There's a wide variety of burgers beyond beef such as turkey and bison. And things other than burgers as well. Beer is sold here as well. Definitely can tell that the burgers or handmade from quality meats. My husband and I both had the Bison burgers which were very tastey. Located near the Marketplace at... more
Had the chorizo burger and it was great. As you go in through the door you order and pay and can have your beer at that point. The burger gets cooked for you then and there and you queue up to select you veggies - bit like a subway concept really. TIP: Order two beers because you'll drink one by... more
So, we went to Whistler for the adventure race Tough Mudder and ended up walking here from our hotel after the race. Holy c@!p! Either I was so hungry I could have eaten anything or this was the best turkey burger I've ever had. I love the way it's laid out and that you can pick and choose how the... more
We went to this place as it was highly recommended on this site. It got insanely busy just after we left, lucky for us. It's not a typical restaurant, where you get served. You pay for your food, choose the toppings, and then go and enjoy it. We had a bison and lamb burger. My boyfriend had the lamb, he... more
A fun family burger experience. You pick the type of burger, beef, bison, lamb, chicken, veggie then add any toppings and sauces you would like. If it doesn't taste great there is only one person to blame. They also offer soda or beer and ice cream. The have the best prices in Whistler for ice cream cones. Or order 1... more
If you are going for the first time, let the cashier know and she'll explain how it works. In addition to the usual toppings, I had hummus, Splitz mayo, salsa and pickled carrots on mine (I basically copied the lady in front of me who looked like a pro). Great burgers and delicious fries! We ate at noon and weren't... more
When we fancied a burger in whistler we went to Splitz after reading all the reviews. You choose your burger, and they had a lentil burger for veggies, and then choose the bun and all the other bits to compliment it. Good choices and very tasty burger. You can also have fries and soft fizzy drinks. It has no frills... more
Best burger joint in Whistler with out the frills. 3 of us ordered legendary Splitz burger served with multi grain or white buns, choices of toppings from tzakiki, baba ganoush, splitz sauce, peppers, and the basics. Good size and tasty. I had salmon (cooked rare) burger with baba ganoush, splitz sauce, spouts, onions and tomatoes. Onions rings were cooked perfect,... more
This is a burger shop with an interesting variety of meat and non-meat fillings including salmon, chicken, beef and veggie options that you can customise with bread choice, sauces & veggie toppings. They also sell homemade cookies and snacks. A lot more interesting than a KFC or McDonalds!
I love this place! I am a fussy Vegan and my boyfriend eats everything so Splitz is just perfect for us. We can both get custom meals that suit. I dont have to drag my boy to a bland vegan restaurant and I dont have to go to a steak house and eat the same old green salad...blarrrr. Its yummy... more
Maybe it was because we dined at RimRock the night before and came here for lunch the next day that it felt like a let down.
THE BURGER: nothing to write home about. I'd like to be able to taste my cow; my burger came in super well done that it was dry.
THE WRAP: better than the burger...
"""Great """"tailor made"""" burgers. There are almost too many choices so you need to have a strategy. As a first-timer it was difficult to see at first that the real choices of toppings came AFTER having ordered and payed. The seating area could have been nicer """
We had heard reviews about Splitz as being one where the locals go - it took us a bit to find it - and it did not disappoint -wonderful burgers
A hole in the wall on a side street serving the Best Burgers in Whistler. Creative burgers with dazzeling choice.
A casual dining experience. You can choose from gourmet chicken or
beef burgers and pair them with fries and onion rings or a helping of
poutine. Chicken, salmon, Italian sausage, lentil and veggie patties
are prepared daily with fresh ingredients. Offers more than 20 different
sauce varieties, toppings you pick yourself and a complete kids menu.
Splitz has some of the best burgers on the planet. They have some
of their own special sauces. You will likely make a mess of yourself
as the juicy burgers and sauces make for a drippy combination.
It is all very healthy stuff too - well, as healthy as a burger can
Best Burger Joint in a Mountain Resort in North America. Great
selection of various types of burgers from Chicken, Lamb, Moose,
Beef & Lentil!
As they say.... "It's all natural... no implants baby!"
Huge burger and amazing fries!
American-style burgers are only a skip away from the village in Whistler, where these popular gourmet burgers have become a hit with locals. Since their opening in 1997, Splitz has fast made a name for itself with its local, fresh ingredients and down-home style service. In addition to all the classics try a Saltspring Island Lamb burger, a Teriyaki Salmon burger, or even a Spicy Lentil burger.... more
Splitz is known for doing something extraordinarily well: Burgers. But not just the humble beef burger (though they do that as well). Here, you have a choice of chicken, salmon, sausage, lentil, veggie and a few others. So, start off by choosing a burger, and then select a few from a list of about twenty toppings. Accompanied by a heap of fries – or even poutine, if you're so inclined – and you... more
