Cancellation FEE?? What
June 01, 2014
Phoned 1 month before stay to cancel and was charged $25 fee. Never heard of this before. Nothing on website about this fee also none communicated during my conversation while booking.
Was told to phone back to talk to manager, Rob.

no sleep dirtbag motel

Older, clean, neat, pet friendly hotel

We were greeted on arrival. All was good except we didn't get a gate code for the park area gate but that was easily solved with a call.
Clean, well maintained older hotel with renovating done quite well in the room. Comfortable except the sleeper/sofa was a bit tired.
All in all a good value hotel.

Don't stay there

A trip down memory lane

Spanish Villa in Penticton
Arrived on July 29th for a 12 day stay. Patricia at the front desk was very nice and helpful that day and throughout our stay.
The room was very nice, clean and very much like the pictures. The beds are comfortable, but I didn’t like the pillows. The towels are very nice.

The exterior needs a lot of work; extremely dirty.
The interior needs freshening up. The bed wasn't overly comfortable, the furniture has most likely been there since it first opened but the room was clean and the location can't be beat.

Ideal location

stayed here for three days in July. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is right across from the beach and easy walking distance to restaurants etc.
The indoor pool was basic but served the purpose well.It was great value and will be our preferred choice when stopping in Penticton.

Retro holidaying

Felt like we had stepped back in time when we entered this hotel. This hotel has all the original furnishings and fixtures from the 70's. I quite liked the retro feel - it will probably become a living museum in a few years!!

The hotel location is pretty convenient, right in front of the beach. I think thats the major factor giving convenience. Otherwise, the motel itself is pretty average and little bit on expensive side considering older looks and condition of the rooms. The kitchenette was a real convenience.

Very central location across the street from the beach. Lots of loud motorbikes and cars on "sunset" drive. Beach was very dirty, lots of garbage on the beach. Has Penticton gone downhill lately?
Rooms are dated and dark with old worn out furniture. Very 1970s. Only reason we stayed here is because we couldn't get into a decent campsite.

Be carefull when booking the room. The management doesn't care about you. They care more about making the extra money.
Rob from Hotel Reservation charged me $25 when I've called to cancel only !!! after 1 hour of making the Reservation.
Their rates for July 01 went up so you might be better by shopping around.

Our girls soccer team stayed at the Spanish Villa for the Provincial tournament in July 2004 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is fantastic, having the beach across the street as well as being within walking distance of many restaurants and other attractions.
