Phoned 1 month before stay to cancel and was charged $25 fee. Never heard of this before. Nothing on website about this fee also none communicated during my conversation while booking.
Was told to phone back to talk to manager, Rob.
We found the Spanish Villa to be good value for your money - it is across the road from the beach at Okanagan Lake - the room was clean, the beds very comfortable. We spent very little time in our room as we were there visiting family over Easter weekend. It would an awesome and affordable place to stay if... more
It started with a smoke smelling non smoking room. The 2 beds in the room were broken, the hide a bed had no blankets. The loud parties started at 11 pm and ended when we called the police at 4am. The front desk did nothing to stop the parties. Car alarms went off from 6am to 7am. The showers height... more
we got a 1 bedroom queen suite for 3 nights. The room had been renovated and looked very nice but we had no housekeeping for the days we were there and there was no hot water for showers or doing dishes. When I mentioned this at the desk when we checked out the girl said
" she would look into...

We were greeted on arrival. All was good except we didn't get a gate code for the park area gate but that was easily solved with a call.
Clean, well maintained older hotel with renovating done quite well in the room. Comfortable except the sleeper/sofa was a bit tired.
All in all a good value hotel.
My family travelled to Banff last September and we spend one day in Penticton on both our way to and from Banff. The Spanish Villa Resort is a nice neat family hotel and it's especially pet-friendly. I feel sorry for the reviewer below who said the place is not neat and smell weird, but I was pretty lucky that our... more
I just stayed at the Spanish Villa in the pet friendly room and paid about $100 for it. The room stunk like stale cigarette smoke, the carpets were stained and had a greasy feel to it. The shower didn't have enough hot water for 1 shower, the Kleenex box was empty, but the worst of it was the power in... more
The Spanish Villa is located right across the street from the beach. It's dated but the rooms are clean and reasonably priced. It is close to downtown restaurants and all the wineries down the Naramata road.
Spanish Villa in Penticton
Arrived on July 29th for a 12 day stay. Patricia at the front desk was very nice and helpful that day and throughout our stay.
The room was very nice, clean and very much like the pictures. The beds are comfortable, but I didn’t like the pillows. The towels are very nice.

The highlight is the city and the hotel, located right on the lakefront, is a nice place to park.
It is not a fancy place nor does it claim to be. The reception and staff were friendly; the rooms (inside the drive in courtyard with rooms surrounding it) were fine - the rooms are suites with a living area/kitchen and...

This property was booked last minute. It is a bit outdated but maintained well. The reception desk was very pleasant. Lots of these old style motel rooms. We booked a one bedroom suite that was fully equipped with living area and kitchen, 2 double beds. The mattresses were a poor sleep and the beds are jammed up against the walls... more
The room was spacious and clean. I liked the separate sink outside of the toilet/shower room. HUGE flat screen TV. Good air conditioning. Upper floor was very quiet. No one using the pool in the afternoon so we took advantage of that after returning from the beach. Lots of barbecues, sitting area and flower planters. Directly across from the sandy... more
My fiance, Marc, and I stayed at the Spanish Villa Resort in Penticton for the Challenge Penticton race in August 2013 and were very impressed. We booked the queen bedroom suite for a week so that we had a kitchen to make our meals and pre-race breakfast without having to go out for dinner. It was also located within a... more
The hotel was directly across from the beach and convenient for walking to Main Street. The room was very comfortable and clean. The furniture and appliances were basic but very well maintained, but the full kitchen enabled us to cook some of our own meals.
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights for our trip to Pentiction. The agent that made the ennitial reservation was very nice and helpfull on the phone. When we arrived we were checked in with no problem and it was done quicky and effently. When we arrived to the room the beds were preaty big and very comfy. The... more
The exterior needs a lot of work; extremely dirty.
The interior needs freshening up. The bed wasn't overly comfortable, the furniture has most likely been there since it first opened but the room was clean and the location can't be beat.
Will I stay there again? Probably not, as there looked to be much cleaner / fresher properties down the...

My 9 year old granddaughter and I stayed here for a few days in July. She loved it ;-) Super friendly staff, excellent location across the road from the beach and walking distance to downtown and fun attractions such as mini-golf and the between lakes canal (which is a lot of fun!). The rooms are basic but a decent size... more
stayed here for three days in July. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is right across from the beach and easy walking distance to restaurants etc.
The indoor pool was basic but served the purpose well.It was great value and will be our preferred choice when stopping in Penticton.
Felt like we had stepped back in time when we entered this hotel. This hotel has all the original furnishings and fixtures from the 70's. I quite liked the retro feel - it will probably become a living museum in a few years!!
Big rooms and close to beach. Clean and comfortable. Great base for holiday.
Stayed 2 nights en route to the Rockies. What a lovely town plenty to do & see. Handy for the wineries. Hotel was opposite the beach, staff were courteous and helpful. Room was clean & comfortable with all the facilities you need, cooker, fridge, utensils and crockery etc. Handy laundry so you can pack less.also has an indoor pool
We stayed at this motel for three nights in May. The reception staff were courteous, the room very clean and quiet. The kitchen area had been renovated fairly recently and the bathroom and flooring re-tiled. The furniture was adequate for our party of four - two adults, two children. The motel is located right across from the beach and there... more
My sisters, daughter, grandaughters and niece and I enjoyed a pleasant "girls weekend" right across the street from the beach. The room was not fancy, but comfortable and staff was very friendly and happy oblige our requests for more and more towells for so many girls! This hotel was like staying in grandma's house. There was really dark, heavy furniture in the room, but it was cosy and very clean. There was a full kitchen, it was right up against a nice park, the lake was right outside the hotel. There was a beach and lots of restaurants all around. Lots of families were in the... more
If you're looking for a good place to stay during Ironman (or next year's Challenge event) this is a good choice. Although you'll have to pay for a one week minimum stay, at inflated prices (as every Lakeside motel will charge during the event) it's probably the best in the bunch. The rooms are clean and updated, the kitchenettes are... more
Booked room in April, just cancelled my reservation for end of July & they charged me $25 cancellation fee. There was no mention of such upon reserving ... be careful and know what you are getting into.
The hotel location is pretty convenient, right in front of the beach. I think thats the major factor giving convenience. Otherwise, the motel itself is pretty average and little bit on expensive side considering older looks and condition of the rooms. The kitchenette was a real convenience.
Be careful at the indoor pool. Does not have any warning about the...

Friendly staff and the location is great. Very nice room and it had a kitchenet along with a pull out couch. Great...o yeah, pets were allowed to.
Well what can I say we had to find a hotel due to a family emergencey, very hard since it was peach festival. We found this that excepted pets and had a kitchenette. When we checked in I asked for the key and said I wanted to see the room first since they assured me the rooms were very clean. When... more
Kitchen Suite is ok. Well layed out. Big Fridge, stove with oven plus microwave. No closet. Sparse on kitchen amenities.
We had a large room which was great because we have to small children. The bathroom shower had someones long black hairs stuck to the walls, there were bits of food under the bed. lots of people sitting around drinking and partying outside there rooms. We ran into the owner or someone who worked there and we were petting his dog and i... more
Stayed for one night during the April Easter long weekend. Clean spacious 2 bedroom suite for a reasonable price. Great location, right across from the beach, friendly front desk staff, would recommend this motel to friends.
This summer will be our third visit to Spanish Villa. Extremely clean, super friendly and helpful staff. The unit was beautiful and looked brand new. We were very well taken care of at this wonderful resort, I love Penticton, with the big city amenities and the small town feel, the beach is cleaned every night and I hope to spend... more
Very central location across the street from the beach. Lots of loud motorbikes and cars on "sunset" drive. Beach was very dirty, lots of garbage on the beach. Has Penticton gone downhill lately?
Rooms are dated and dark with old worn out furniture. Very 1970s. Only reason we stayed here is because we couldn't get into a decent campsite.

We loved the hotel years ago however last time we were there i opened the bed and found some guys underwear in there. we changed rooms, obviously they hadn't even washed the sheets, but this time we got stuck below or beside some outragiously large party animals with motor bikes who swore drank and reved their motors all night long.... more
We were traveling to Penticton for the 4th of July weekend to train on the Ironman Canada course. We booked our hotel at the last minute and the Spanish Villa was available for $128 CAD/night. Be carefull when booking the room. The management doesn't care about you. They care more about making the extra money.
Rob from Hotel Reservation charged me $25 when I've called to cancel only !!! after 1 hour of making the Reservation.

This hotel offers good value. We paid 100 dollars for a two room suite with two beds plus a sofa bed. Full cooking facilities (stove plus microwave) together with a fridge freezer were included.
