Flies in both water glasses brought to table.. Had to clean our utensils ourselves the looked barely rinsed. Unless you are family or friends of the family this restaurant is sub standard of any other place I've eaten.
Avoid if possible.
My wife and I had an enjoyable meal, everything we ordered arrived hot and flavourful. the staff were helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The only negative was the room temperature was cool
My husband and I were there to celebrate our Anniversary. My Husband proposed to me at this very spot 5 years ago. Five years later and it is still our favorite family restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised that more people are becoming more familiar with this family owned and operated restaurant. I have yet to have an ill experience. This... more
Spago always has a warm friendly atmosphere and our family is always treated lek we own the place, which of course we do not. The food has always been amazing and being Portuguese the food I feel is exceptional. The Bachalu is a brasa is always amazing and my favourite. The Pork and Clams is 2nd on my list as... more
Our group (10) of diners (who enjoy good food, particularly seafood) were all disappointed with our meals. The Ribs and Quail were chewy, the Paela and fish dishes were overcooked and the Canneloni was mediocre. The restaurant was clean, the decor was pleasant and the menu read very well but the service was painfully slow, we could not get separate... more

The food...

Was offered free dessert, but really I wasn’t interested. The waitress was rude beyond belief, the supervisor came out and when I tried to explain my side she walked away in disgust. I have never been treated so... more
We went for dinner and had wanted to visit this place for a few years. I thought it was very overpriced, too salty and I was given day old potatoes. I have been to Portugal and did not think it was all that similar. Kind of very simple food for the high price.
The menu emphasizes traditional flavours of Portuguese cuisine along with a healthy dose of spices. A tremendous selection of robust wines is available. Mon – Thurs 10 am – 2 pm; 5 pm – 10 pm; Fri 10 am – 2 pm; Sat 4 pm – 12 am; Sun 10 am – 9 pm.
Spago is a Portugese and Portuguese restaurant where most Menuism users came for a romantic date.
Not an outpost of Wolfgang Puck's famous eatery – far from it. Edmonton's Spago is actually a family owned and operated Portuguese restaurant with a warm and homey feel, a place where children are wholeheartedly welcomed and regulars are greeted like members of the family. Probably the most notable characteristic about this place is the service, which is unfailingly convivial and completely... more
