If you love soup, you will LOVE this little bistro. Their Daily Specials are excellent, and they shop locally, certain specialities will be in small quantities due to availability of ingredients...

Excellent soup and beer bread is a MUST

This is a great spot to pick up a bowl of soup and some bread. Very creative soups each day, and always 5-6 soups to choose from. Also two types of sandwiches on offer. Very frendly staff, great service.

The best soup in town

The soup is always amazing. I've never had a problem getting vegetarian soup either - they always have several vegetarian options. The beer bread is soooooo good!
The only downside is their hours - they're often closed when I have a craving for soup! Check their hours out before you go.

Turning non-believers into believers

Took my significant other to try this place and he was doubtful he'd like it. He really does not like soup but after 2 minutes with a bowl of soup in front of him, it was gone. Truly no better soup anywhere!
I wouldn't have a bad thing to say except if you're looking for a sit down romantic dining...

Ok. I'm not much of a soup person normally but this place is amazing! They have a variety of fresh, homemade soups every day so there's always something for everyone. I've also tried their sandwiches which are fabulous! The staff are friendly and always great, although they're usually swamped around lunch time.

Fantastic, but limited hours
January 10, 2013So, they will blow your mind with their beautifully crafted, creative soups and beer bread. Keep in mind though they are only open Monday-Friday during the day (not for supper). I always order the extra large and it comes with 3 breads, and I split it with a friend. Huge portion of greatness for just over $5 each.

Nice light lunch
November 06, 2012I had a simple lunch of Thai kente soup that was filling and flavorful Bread was amazing. Service was ok and all out of sandwiches, when there is a limited menu you should have enough of your items. I will try it again for sure.

Never had such good tasting soups
October 26, 2012Every time I am in Peterborough (daughters goes to Trent University) I try and visit this little hidden gem. If I can't eat in, I want to get takeout. Have eaten here once a month
July 02, 2012My daughter and I meet here and have a Father daughter lunch pretty regularly, they are consistent with quality home made soups and there side of bread is great. Staff are friendly and so is the owner sometimes a small wait is needed..... Seats about 24. Well worth any wait.

I love going to Soupcon on a cold day when I'm running errands down town. There's always a great selection of delicious soups and the beer bread is fantastic for dunking :)

January 18, 2012Every time i go for lunch, eat in or take out, i have at least 4 or 5 choices of soup - some creamy, some not...all made from scratch and always delicious and unique. the beer bread is incredible. No better value, delicious lunch around for $5-$7!!

My colleague and I look forward to the menu being posted each day on Facebook! We take turns going to get take out, and are always able to find parking during lunch hour, which is a plus! Often times, the lineup is at, or out the door, but service is brisk.
