Came here for my birthday with my family. It was alright, nothing special. Not busy at all when we went, kind of lackluster.
Amazing! Date night with hubby and no complaints whatsoever. Perfect bottle of Chilean merlot (velvety smooth) to accompany our meal. We started off with the crispy calamari...perfect. My husband had the veal chop with tiger shrimp special, he says it was definitely 5 stars. I had the seafood crepe in a white wine sauce...heaven. For desert we shared the cannoli...not crazy about the cinnamon... more
Great service with exceptional meals!
The Calamari was cooked to perfection.
The Veal Chop with Tiger Shrimp and Veggies was amazing.
The service was amazing. I don't think I ever poured my own wine once.
Would highly recommend.
Had a great time dining here with my office colleagues after our sales enablement work day.
Enjoyed the ensalata with fresh mozzarella cheese with sweet fig wrapped in Prosciutto. Sweet and salty just like heaven and earth! I just wished they had served this with virgin olive oil and freshly ground pepper it would have been a home run!
The Orata sea bass was perfectly seasoned and cooked...

Would give 3.5 if I could.
Made reservations for dinner and decided we wanted to sit on the patio so saw very little of the interior of the restaurant. The patio itself is quite small but we were the only people out there and since this restaurant is set back from Lakeshore, it was quite pleasant.
The food was very good and worthy of more stars. The bread served at the table was incredibly...

First time hear on a visit to Toronto. Restaurant was nice. Our waitress was very good and the food was pretty good too. Will definitely come back again.
We had dinner here last night. The food was worthy of 4 stars, but the service was awful, so I've reduced my stars to reflect that. There were about 8 tables (ours being the largest party), one waiter and who I think was one of the owners occasionally floating around. The waiter took our appetizer order and basically ignored us for an hour before taking our dinner orders. Coffee was served... more
I came to Solstice a long time ago for a Yelp event. The desserts blew my socks off! I had wanted to return since but I needed an excuse (I live in Markham; Solstice is located in Mississauga). So happily, my boyfriend had his birthday, and I got to pick where to wine and dine him. And I picked Solstice.
A step up from many places, the classy services greeted us before the pleasant venue. The...

This is one of those restaurants that is definitely a local gem. I stopped in one night after having seen the restaurant pop up as a Yelp event spot.....I also happened to be at the post office nearby and saw that it was seafood week!
I ended up ordering the calamari as a starter. It was excellent. I also ordered the surf and turf (I have included a picture). Both the lobster and the steak...

Went there for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find a spot like this in Mississauga. I had a steak sandwich and it was amazing, juicy steak greatly presented.
The venue could use a bit of renovation but the service was great and friendly.
Went for dinner with a group of 10 last night. Solstice comfortably hosted our group with lots of space for others. The host and waitress were very welcoming and answered all questions including recommendations. I had the veal parmigiano, which was not the best I have had but was pretty good. I probably will not return to Solstice as it was a fine restaurant but did not provide anything to draw... more
The decor is modern and simple with a moderate amount of seating. They also have a private dining area. I had crab cakes that were delicious and the arugula salad. Both were light, yet filling proportions. One friend I was with had the seafood risotto that he finished off entirely (obviously it was to his standards) and my other friend had a hearty-sized pork shank that he said he would have... more
Came in for dinner tonight and tried the Kobe Burger and truffle fries. Food was amazing! You can't go wrong eating here. Have tried other dishes on the menu and everything is delicious. The atmosphere is great. Food is utterly amazing and the staff is so friendly that they make you like you're at home. And it doesn't hurt either that the chef is good looking!
From the moment we walked in we felt welcome, ordered a recommended California cab very nice . I had their summer prix fixe for $30, amazing value, my wife ordered the arancini and the strozzapreti pasta , she loved it . Our first time , but we will definitely will be back often .
We have been patrons to this restaurant for over a year. We always feel welcome here. The server, Leonardo is always professional, friendly and attentive. Our favorite dish here is grilled calamari. My husband and I tried calamari dish everywhere we go, and by far, this is the best grilled calamari we have! Quality is consistent. The latest Taste of... more
I took my gf of 1 year for dinner and the wait staff were very friendly and the food was excellent - although some more colour on the plate would have made it more visually appealing
We decided to give Solstice another try after a mildly disappointing meal three years ago and found things much the same.
The nicely presented Antipasto platter was the highlight of the night (3.5-4 stars) with a good selection of meats and cheeses. I ordered the pasta in a chunky fresh red sauce (1 star) and found it extremely bland (think well cooked pasta in a watery tomato broth).
Another...

I was their at a yelp event and I parked the car, looked at the restaurant and said to myself isn't this small for Y.E.E but as I stepped in the place was nice, clean, big, gorgeous, classy restaurant (*perfect for dates*bookmark it!).
The staff was friendly as I was greeted when walking in and out, plus the all the...

On a beautiful sunny Sunday night, I decided to surprise SummerFunGirl with an impromptu night out for dinner at Solstice in Clarkson. Solstice is tucked away in the back corner of a little outdoor strip mall on Lakeshore and advertises itself as an Italian Restaurant/Wine Bar.
Upon entering, the room is wide open with an upper level on the right…an...

Anybody remember the Elliot House??? Well, the sons of that business have a great little restaurant in Clarkson / Lorne Park....
Great service and food - JP is great with the quality and dishes he serves up. Also, they have a wood burning pizza oven that is great for children or those who want a light snack...

They have some very nice food, good atmosphere and friendly people. Slightly up scale but right at the back of a small strip mall.
The food and service are always stellar and on the mark. The staff is great with special requests and recommendations. Never disappoints.
this was my first time to Solstice - ordered the vegetable focaccia from the lunch menu. Several others with me ordered the steak sandwich. The amount of 'bun' in the sandwich is much more than anyone needs at lunchtime, but the focaccia was perfect.
Service was very good but there were, surprisingly, very few diners in the restaurant. For a...

We have been having our book club meetings here for almost 4 years now at Solstice. They are always so welcoming and patient with us as we get excited and louder. They have a space saved for us with the same waiter every time who knows are likes. He pays careful attention yet is never intrusive. I think the fact... more
Thank you Solstice…
The moment I walked into Solstice, I fell in love with the warm…welcoming atmosphere. I did not hesitate booking the private party room for my brother-in-laws 70th surprise birthday party which took place last Saturday. Upon discussing my plans with John Paul I was impressed with his suggestions and willingness to accommodate my every request and upon...

Last night a group of GTA yelpers decided to take part in their first dinner during the recent launched Savour Mississauga. The great thing about promotions like this is that they encourage you to get out into your local community and try restaurants again or for the first time.
I chose Solstice because of its great $35 prix fixe menu, and the fact that it was a virtual unknown to the Yelp...

I am not a promoter, but seriously guys, CHECK THIS PLACE OUT for Savour Mississauga. Good value.

Thank you Savour Mississauga and Yelp for helping me discover new/hidden restaurants in my neighbourhood. I went here as part of the Savour Mississauga event in a Yelp group. When I walked into the restaurant, I was thinking "umm..this place is so nice and so formal, do I...

Enjoyed our first visit to Solstice. It is indeed hard to find, at the far end of a narrow plaza on the south side of Lakeshore Road (across from the Goodyear store). Well worth the effort though. Menu was not too long but offered a good selection of fare. Three of the four of us had the specials which were very nice. Good sized servings (mine was actually a little too much for me with two... more
Went to Solstice on two occasions, once for a birthday and once for a corporate event within the past 6 months.
Both times I was impressed with the quality and quantity of the food and the service.
While it was packed one of the visits and somewhat busy the second, the wait staff was prompt and the food arrived quickly on both trips.
It was a bit tricky to find as it isn't directly on the...

I reserved a table for two for my fiance's birthday dinner through open table. It was our first time there and we will definitely return. The food was delicious, perfect portions, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. To top it off they surprised my fiancé with a bday sparkler in his cremebrule :) thanks guys!
Chose from their "best of" menu and thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses. My wife ordered Chicken Parm, which was not on the menu, but they made it (perfectly) for her. This was our 2nd visit and we were not disappointed. This is truly a hidden gem.
We recently celebrated a friend's birthday and we were in the Mississauga area. We tried Solstice and I was quite impressed with the facility, service and food. There was a fixed price menu and one of the items was lobster. I figured the lobster would be one of those little tiny things you usually get on "specials" but decided to... more
Former owners of Elliot House reopened as Solstice. Always loved their tiramisu- very creamy, loaded with mascarpone, liquor laden cake, just dreamy.
Had lunch with colleagues and ordered the chicken parmigiana, very tender and well seasoned served with vegetables. Veal and steak equally good and tasty. The bread is soft and good as well. They were not very busy during...

Solstice was difficult to find as it is set in a little bit from Lakeshore. The menu offers quite a variety: pasta, pizza, meat and seafood. My pasta meal was simple, yet well-prepared. The restaurant décor is modern and simple. Food and service were good, but nothing memorable. The prices are reasonable for a restaurant downtown Clarkson.
I just discovered they offer customers the option to...
