I have had a few precious prints framed by Soho Art Custom Framing and have been delighted with each one. They recommended the perfect frame that would best suit the print and picture and I was so pleased with their professional and friendly service. They called me when the frames were complete in a timely manner which I appreciated. I would recommend Soho Art Custom Framing to everyone! ... more
Spectacular work. The owners and the staff really know what they are doing. Their custom pieces are fantastic and they are quick, efficient and reasonably priced. Definitely my go-to framing store! They also have neat items for sale in their store front. I love popping in and browsing the merchandise.
The price here was very reasonable and the staff was friendly.
However, they took about 4 weeks to do the job and did not call me when my picture was framed. I thought they would.
On the invoice it says they are not responsible for things left at the store over 30 days....
If you get something framed here make a note in your calendar to call then when it is supposed be ready.
To preface, please note that this review is purely based on a custom service experience over the phone, no services were purchased or judged.
I work in an office nearby this shop and was looking to get a few posters mounted to a wooden board. We were hoping to go some close and support a local shop, so I called in to inquire if they might be able to help with this.
The employee that answered...

I had Soho install a gallery hanging system in my place (referred to as a "click rail system") and couldn't be happier. I dealt with Tamar via email and David did the installation. Great customer service and David took the time to do a really good and very precise job. I love the flexibility the hanging system allows- I can move art around however I want and no nails in the walls. Looks... more
Great framing shop in a great neighbourhood. I've always received excellent knowledgeable customer service. Considering how small it is the selection of framing materials and options is huge.I got 2 of the "Joey Bats" prints for gifts at Christmas and the relatives loved them!Highly recommended.
Great service. A bit on the pricey side.
The woman helping us was very knowledgeable and very helpful. It was 30 minutes before closing and she didn't seem annoyed or reluctant to help us decide on some options to frame our huge picture which was really refreshing and respectful. You don't see that very often.
She had many ideas for our picture and asked us where we'd be putting it and what...

Excellent framing shop in my old neighbourhood. Great place to bring your family photos, professional photographs, favourite prints, fine art and even your child's art. Also, they offer a nice variety of gift ideas, including beautiful prints and posters, some already framed.
Close by my place so thought I would try it. Much success. Friendly, helpful staff, reasonable pricing and various discounting throughout the year. I requested a quick turn around on a framed gift and they accommodated without any additional cost. I've used them again with similar great results. Many thanks.
Soho has a nice selection and they have a flair for design and color no matter what your pallet is..Would recommend them to anyone for professional quality framing.
Horrible service, way overpriced, and these are very dishonest people, NOT TO BE TRUSTED with your valuable artwork or anything with sentimental value, as they will hold it after they jack the price up on you.
They do okay work, but the customer service is terrible. I had some posters framed there and they wouldn't run a wire across the back to hang it. They said it would warp the frame. I collect movie posters and have had loads of big ones mounted with wires (which make hanging then 1000 times easier) by legit places in town: alternative arts, telegramne, etc. I have never had a problem. I guess... more
Getting my kids photos framed at SoHo was a really fun. I admit , I was worried that it will be a long process , matching the frames and mats but it ended up being 30 mins .The lady there gave me a really good tip : if you have lots of different photos of your kids put them all in the same frame and the same mat colour to unify it - it looks great !! Thank you - I will be back.Sara K
What a great place.
Saw them at the Design Show this year and bought a Toronto print.
I framed it myself and not too hot on the matting I chose, so I think I will go to their shop and have them frame it professionally, because when I bought the print I got a couple for 30% off....so hopefully I will get a good deal.
I bought a print from Soho at IDS12. The print on the booth wall looked amazing! When I brought it home and unwrapped it, I was so disappointed to see that that the print had an obvious typo on it. Quality Assurance Fail! So I called the store that day and was assured that I could bring it in for a refund - no issue. Boy, was that a HUGE mistake...

I have not had a good experience with this store. I am having several photos framed and so far they have managed to only get part of the order right. Issue 1 - they failed to tell me that I had to call before coming to pick up my order to check if they were complete on the due date they provided. Of course my order wasn't ready so a wasted trip. Issue 2 - when I did pick up my order it was not... more
I am very disappointed in Soho art. I have bene here before and was pleased with the job they did. I did find them very expensive compared to other places but admit the convenient location is what brought me back. However this time, I found the whole experience to be terrible. Firstly , I felt pressure to pick a matting, like the woman was too busy to help me but didnt want me looking through... more
Really poor customer service!A month ago I took two pieces in to be framed. When I went to pick them up they had done one with the wrong frame. I was assured by the sales person that I had paid for the right onebut the wrong frame had been sent by their supplier. So now a MONTH later I returned to pick up my painting only to be told that I owed more money. The sales person (of course - the... more
The first time I went in here the owner was working and he was so nice- chatty, kind, your typical small business owner appreciative of his customers. Nice enough in fact that I returned to have some items framed. The catch- I had a Groupon coupon to use there that said "$50 for one framed item at Soho Arts." Apparently the owner did not understand what they signed up for and tried to tell me... more
I noticed SoHo because the outside of their storefront was dotted in balloons in celebration of their 6th anniversary. Most things are on sale for the month of June, fyi!
Unlike "Prints Charming" up the street, staff at SoHo greeted me warmly the instant that I walked in. I had them re-frame something for me, got a couple of custom mats (mattes?) done for two other prints, and a frame for one...

I should probably being by stating - I'd never had anything framed professionally before. I'd always just printed images off on Photo paper, and stuck it in a $1 frame from the Dollar Store. Would I hang it in a Gallery? Hmm..maybe, if it was some pretentious comment on Minimalism. However, I'd never feel comfortable giving someone something so, uhm..."Fiscally Responsible" for something like... more
My boyfriend's mother gifted me with a beautiful piece of her own art and I needed to find a framer who could interpret my need for the 'just so'.
I was recommended Soho Frames by a local to the neighborhood and I thought why not do a little east meets west in this artful exchange. Watching the proprietor pull out his gleaming frames, then his matte frames, then his antique frames, then his...
