Like its name
March 08, 2014This is our family's go-to place for tasty Chinese food in Ottawa. We've always been pleased with it and our last experience was no different. We love the Hunan beef, Shanghai noodles and Wu Se chicken. We just wish Peter - So, hence the name - was there more often!

Good food, affordable and family feel

I think the title says it all. If you are looking for a "proper ambience" and five star dining, you can go spend a couple of hundred bucks on a steakhouse. However, if you are looking for fresh, tasteful and authentic Chinese/Oriental food, this is it!
Service is also okay and Peter So (owner) is very interesting.

Great fun and good food

Wonder Chinese food
November 27, 2012Not much to look at, but very good inexpensive food. Highly recommend their wonderful peanut shrimp dish. Also not a big fan of tofu, but their salt and pepper tofu dish was wonderful. Also highly recommend their fried rice. It had lots of goodies in it.

Even when the place is full, the food is fast! Definitely recommended. I tried the spicy squid (as pictured) due to multiple online suggestions to try it...they were right, its awesome!

The food here is really awesome. I can't say whether it's the most authentic asian fare, though, because I've never been to Asia. But I still love it.
I always order off the vegetarian menu when I'm there. It's extremely extensive and I have full confidence in the staff that they're truly serving me vegetarian food and not slipping beef...

Huge menu with tons of tasty gluten free options
December 28, 2011We go here often for a quick, safe (gluten free) meal in this tiny restaurant that is always packed. It may not have much curb appeal, but this joint has fantastic food... My favourite is the salt and pepper shrimp (ask for them to use corn starch and clean oil to have it gluten free).
