Years ago my gullible self was suckered into purchasing a timeshare, and every year I find myself receiving a letter informing me that my unused points will expire in a couple months. This subsequently prompts me to search online for some last minute resorts close to home so I don’t let too many points go to waste.

The coffee is excellent. The cinnamon buns were decadent but a tad pricey at 4.50 each. Still they were worth it. The lady who seems to run the place was extremely personable and outgoing. While I was waiting she gave me a history of the area and her family there. Charming.

Fantastic coffee spot
July 14, 2014Went in for some morning coffee and WiFi and found this fantastic little shop. Make sure to chat up the owner for local tips and knowledge: she's a wealth of local information. Pastries and coffees come out wonderful as well. The fireplace would be nice to sit by in the winter though!

Great coffee and Fabulous cinnamon buns
July 05, 2014We stopped in and grabbed a couple of cinnamon buns, a couple of coffees a scone and a breakfast bagel. Great breakfast on the run and fairly priced. The coffee was very good and the cinnamon buns are very large! We would return.

I thought it was a local Coffee Roaster, but
June 18, 2014I went into get some coffee, and a snack. What I found was a large space, and it was like the coffee was an afterthought. Maybe there were sandwiches. Frankly I don't remember. Very enjoyable
June 13, 2014Great cinnamon rolls, great breakfast, great atmosphere sitting on the deck outside. Nice mix of coffee drinks, good service. The roll was huge and served four of us. A very fun coffee spot that was a very enjoyable breakfast.

Weak Americano and Mocha

Great atmosphere but lunch selection a little limited
March 07, 2014We loved the drink selection (it is vast hot and cold) but arrived too late for breakfast but lunch seemed limited to soup and sandwich ( unless we missed something). You order away from where the food is so that is a little distracting as I had to run over to the food counter and then back to order! Lovely... more

Breakfast to go
January 04, 2014Was staying down the road, found this place by googling "breakfast in Fairmont". I bought huge cinnamon bun that melted in your mouth but not sweet, eggs to go, Glutenfree baking, Americano's were awesome. Off the highway on the hill, hard to see but 2 blks up the hill. If they were located on the Highway they would be packed!!

A perfect deck with a perfect view for that morning coffee

NICE coffee house
September 06, 2013Our visit to this place was for breakfast and coffee one morning while we were staying at Fairmont Mountainside Villas. Everything was excellent, the décor fun and interesting, and the people very friendly and helpful. Helpful hint: their cinnamon rolls feed at least 4 people!!

Pleasant breakfast spot
August 08, 2013Wonderful baking and coffee! The cinnamon buns are huge. There are things for sale as well - art, coffee and tea pots, cups, mugs, and such. It is a bit hectic at certain times, and you may have to wait a bit as the line-up for coffee can get long.

Good lattes
July 24, 2013When visiting my brother-in-law at his home on Columbia Lake we stopped in. Smoking Waters is his daily stop for coffee and I can understand why. I'm from the Seattle area and am somewhat of a coffee snob so I'm pretty picky. The latte was prepared well and was quite satisfying.
