Good food and service

We have eaten here lots and always find the service great and the food good. If we have wanted an adjustment to an order it is always okay. This restaurant likes to please!

Good food, fast service with a smile

My husband and I ate here late on a Friday evening. The waitress was cheery, the roast beef dinner was good, the portion just right. We were very happy with our Smitty's experience and will definitely eat there again.

It's an ok place

Food is pricy and nothing great. Service is ok. Wouldn't be my first choice to eat at in town but over all its an ok place

We had breakfast at Smitty's before leaving Port Alberni. The serves was fast and friendly and the food was hot and tasty. Beautiful start of the day..

Great place

The food was excellent, service was very friendly and efficient, and the timing was wonderful. Though it was busy, we didn't have to wait long for our meal. Will go again!

The server was genuinely friendly, and our breakfast was good. They also have free wifi, that's how I was able to post my photos of their restaurant. By the time we came, their parking lot was full, it tells you something.

We all (4 Europeans) got the 8.99 dollar breakfast (wide variety of choices, such as beacon, eggs, pancakes, toast, hash browns...) which was tasty and well prepared. But there were a lot of other items on the menu as well.The service was great. They handled special requests without problem (such as chocolate chip pancakes) and were very friendly.

Very understanding

Our World Harmony Run team was treated very generously here, the waiters were willing to stay after the closing just to support a good cause! We are very grateful and are looking forward to coming back!

Bit of a disappointment

It is what we Brits would class as a 'greasy spoon' restaurant. The food was tasty but the facilities were basic. The sort of place we would avoid back home but seeing as my brother insisted and we were his guests, hey?

Always a pleasure to dine in Smitty's, the menu is added to on a regular basis. Great burger's. Senior's specials Mon-Wed. All day breakfast. Service very good. Bottomless cup of coffee. Insider tip: Ask for the Up n At'em breakfast special - my favorite.

Fabulous fish

We were in Port Alberni in early September, 2010, over Labor Day. Because it was a holiday, many restaurants were closed so we ended up having dinner at Smitty's just before they closed at 8pm. The waitress was very pleasant and did not try to rush us. I had a decent taco salad and my partner had fish ‘n chips.... more

The put our party in the other room, which meant no service, our food was very slow getting to us as well as when we needed anything. We even had to track down our waitress to get our bill. We won't be back.
