Slices N' Scoops is right next to the locks in Fenelon Falls. We placed our order, had the amazing deep fried pickles (Yummy!) went back and got some ice cream (Mmmm) and then took our pizza back to the motel with us. Awesome pizza! It was one of the best we've had in a long time! Authentic!
Fenelon Falls is always a great place to visit. This excuse for a pizza / ice cream joint is wrong. The owner a tall senior man and he is as rude as they come .He doesn't like kids ,dogs and people. He now has you lining up to pay a very slow cashier so he can cut his staff in... more
Had ice cream here today. It was delicious and it is right by the lift locks. Lots of variety of ice cream. Great place in the summer to get ice cream
Some say water is the nector of life; but I beg to offer that those fools have not experienced Slices N' Scoops! The ice cream is delicious and the service is good even when it is packed. Try to go any other day other than Sundays though.
we stayed at pinewood cabins as a family enjoyed our stay and will return. had ice cream and many choices of flavors were great
Great place to get an ice cream and sit by the locks watch the boats. They have pizza by the slice and drinks.
We always enjoy a favourite ice cream flavour here every summer.
Nestled beside the Trent-Severn Locks, it's great to get an ice cream cone and kick back and watch the yachts lock through the canal.
It's a ritual part of summer, here.
Tons of variety of ice cream flavours, and it's all made by Kawartha Dairy, probably the best dairy...

During our vacation in Fenelon Falls we decided to sightsee the lift locks where we discovered this cute little pizza and ice cream parlour that offered seating with direct view of the lift locks. We ended up going here twice. The pizza was very good and fresh without the usual hard dry thick crusts at most places. They had several... more
I stopped here to get some ice cream and a funnel cake. The funnel cake was delicious and so was the ice cream! The prices were pretty good as well. Seemed like they had a wide variety of food, like pizza, pulled pork sandwiches, fries, salads, etc.
It was also nice because it was right on the locks and they...

First off, I will say that I have never written a negative review...but, felt the need to on this one. I have been frequenting this location (through various restaurant and ownership changes) for the last 35 years (since I was born); however, will not go back to this one until a change of ownership.
I have two very well behaved kids,...

Only stopped for the scenery but they were in the perfect location. Sat and watched the boats goes through the lock and it was great having some great ice cream
I purchased 2 slushies and an ice cream cone. The ice cream was not bad, there were lots of kinds to choose from. Same with the slushies. But the owner was rude. Getting mad when I took a second to decide what I wanted. And telling me and my friend to "shut up" when we were talking on the patio.... more
Better make sure everyone in your group knows exactly what they want before you get to front of line otherwise he's very rude to you.
My family stopped to see the locks and let our three-year old watch the boats. We saw this restaurant and decided to get some pizza and ice cream. I can easily say that this is the best pizza I've ever tasted. The crust is homemade. They also specialize in ice cream and have at least 32 different flavours. The menu... more
Then step outside and watch boats go thru the locks:-)
Lower your prices! Give us parents a chance to take our kids for a treat, without breaking the bank.
I like to eat Kawartha Dairy's ice cream, especially when I am in the Kawarthas,
especially their kosher flavours like moose tracks.
I did not like that the owner/manager at this distributor refused to take my mother's order.
She wanted to buy ice cream for all 8 of us, around 30 dollars worth,
but I guess she asked too many...

There is also a small ice-ceam parlouitr in Bobcaygeon - 20 mins drive the opposite direction - which sells Kawartha Lakes ice-cream - I have tasted some special italian ice cream in... more
